Clean,great food,good service,somewhat expensive but worth the trip

Went here for a quick lunch. Food is good and quite a variety of prepared food including subs, Asian, salad, and sushi. I had a smattering of dumplings and sushi. With coupon it was $13 and it filled me up. I would recommend this place for quick and good lunch. read more

Fabuloous! There are only a couple of supermarkets I've seen in the country that compare to Wegman's It is truly like no other !! Great for lunch or supper - or for groceries. It is a family-owned business, and it shows. The offerings come from a love of food and family - even for members of the family not at home (their food court offerings). The only supermarkets I've run across that compares is Cardenas Markets in Southern California and New Sagaya in Anchorage. Wegmans keep on keeping on!. read more

Everything they have is always fresh, and they always have lots of lanes open. Truly feels like a 'deluxe' supermarket.

I just love their market here! I haven't had anything that's not good. From their salad bar to their chicken wings. From the sushi to the dinners. The bakery and the pizza. Everything is FRESH and SOOO GOOD! Their sushi is my favorite next to the restaurants I go to, and much less expensive! I can't say enough good things about this place! read more

Was approached by an employee here while shopping and in a fairly rude voice normally reserved for my mother's scolding, stated take your basket off the counter, there's food there and the baskets are dirty. Not sure where to begin on this but here's a start... 1. If the baskets are dirty and shouldn't be near food, why the he11 am I putting my food in this basket? 2. If the baskets are so dirty, why don't you guys clean them once in a while (this I actually did say to her, and she replied "it won't do any good"). Great... the impossible situation (this category is normally reserved for my girlfriend). So now my shopping experience is complete, thanks. Oh did I mention no. 3? 3. People's hands are probably as dirty as the baskets or dirtier, and they are at the bar actually touching the spoons, lids and containers, my basket was a foot away from any of these things, on the adjoining counter- why am I getting the 3rd degree from you? Are my basket germs going to jump off the basket and land on the items people put their grubby hands on? 4. Dear wegmans, if you're so damn concerned about your dirrty ass baskets not being near the olive bar, put a table nearby for the baskets so that jerks like myself don't have to be told to put the basket on the floor. (Again my food's sanitation is secondary to the sanitation of the granite olive bar ledge). read more

When faced with the just-a-little-too-long-to-be-relaxing commute of my new job, the one saving grace (other than being able to pay my mortgage) was that I'd be driving past Wegman's each day. This place is great for regular groceries. Their prices are competitive, and they have quality Wegman's brand alternative for many items. The thing is, it's unlikely you'll be able to get out of there buying JUST regular groceries. The many specialty departments are where Wegman's no doubt makes the big bucks. I have a hard time walking through the cheese shop, the international isles, the seasonal area, and even the kitchen section without picking up something new and exciting. To me, anyway. When I pass through the prepared food section, I load up my cart with single portions of prepared (but not cooked) fish-- the cedar plank salmon is amazing on the grill, and bruscetta tilapia is a perfect for those eating-alone-why-bother-using-anything-more-complicated-than-the-toaster-oven nights. All of their uncooked prepared foods turn out better than any of their precooked stuff. The Asian buffet is decent, but a little pricey. Same for the salad bar. The sushi isn't bad either, if you're not a sushi snob... er, aficionado. Really, aside from the crowds, there isn't anything I don't like about Wegman's. People complain about the prices of the prepared foods, but I say: If you're not into it, don't buy it. read more

I have shopped Wegmans since the day they opened. Loved that store....couldn't say a bad thing about it. However, they have gone downhill. The produce is less than perfect--used to be. Needed potatoes today and had to sift thru many before I found 4 that weren't spotty or mushy. The minestrone vegetables that are precut in a bag were soggy looking and full of moisture. Their prices have almost doubled for fruits and veggies. Can't find what I need bc they're always moving things around. BUT, the biggest irk I have with Wegmans is the fact that everytime I need to shop for something in the produce aisles, whether it's morning, noon or evening, there is always a group of stockers in the aisles replacing produce. I can certainly understand if there are one or maybe two but there are times when there are several. They block the bins or they're having conversations with each other so you can't get by or even pick up an item that's near their carts. I've just about given up on Wegmans. Shopped Shop Rite for years before they came into play so I'll just return. Actually, the last few times I was in Shop Rite their produce was even better than Wegmans and I didn't have to play frogger with the stockers. read more

What can I say about Wegmans other than, "Oh my God!" If you have not been to a Wegmans, this one or another one, then you have never experienced what a supermarket can potentially be. They are the gold standard, and this place is no exception. They have the freshest most delicious fresh produce and prepared foods. The staff, and their knowledgebase about their particular departments, is so far superior to any other supermarket you will ever go to that it defies proper and simple explanation. In addition to carrying all the usual, expected supermarket brands, they carry a large selection of foreign, exotic, and just plain unusual brands- nearly all of which is worth trying at least one time. They also carry a very large selection of organic food, gluten-free food, and other foods required by specialty diet concerns. They have a bakery which is better and larger than any in the area. They also have counters which regularly make fresh Italian food, sushi, Chinese food, and prepared standard American foods. You can buy from one of these counters and sit in the relative quiet of their upstairs eating cafeteria. They have just added a sizable liquor store in addition. Really, once you shop here you will never wants to go to any other supermarkets again. read more

It's crowded and a bit of a pain to get in and out of during peak times (it helps to go really early or really late), but there's a reason for that - it's the best. They do *everything* well, it's pleasant, they have a great variety, great prepared foods, great store brand products, great liquor store, we use their fantastic (and reasonably priced) catering department for parties and holiday meals, etc., etc. This place is just the best. I contacted the Wegman's Meat Dept. on Monday, 10/3/11 at 9am located on Centerton Road in Mt Laurel, NJ to place an order for a 6lb eye round roast beef that I needed for Friday,10/14/11.I have placed this same exact order for several years at the same Wegman's with absolutely no problem. I was told by the woman in the meat dept. that I couldn't special order it & I would have to come in on the 14th to see what was delivered. WHAT?! The woman in the meat dept. was no help whatsoever nor do I think she really cared. Needless to say I went elsewhere where I received better service, got what I wanted with no problem. read more

Went there today and the cafe was closed for the company Christmas party, I was told. They are supposed to be the best employer in America but they are too cheap to have their Christmas party in a restaurant. I like the hot food bar but this is not the first time I came away hungry. They seem to shut it down whenever I go there hungry. read more

I love this Wegman's. Unlike the Cherry Hill store, they have clearance items (like USDA prime ribeyes at half price or kosher chickens for $2.00), and ample parking space. I never go to the Cherry Hill store (and I live 5 minutes away) just because you risk your life in their parking lot. The employees here are always friendly and the prices are nice. read more

I've been to many a Wegmans and this is just like the test. For a weekend it wasn't as crowded as I'd imagine so that's a plus because Wegmans shoppers are certified crazy. The staff was friendly enough and they had all their usual products. Not giving five stars because my experience was not out of this world but I'd definitely come back here. read more

I love Wegmans and can remember eagerly awaiting the opening of the store. My son worked there for almost 5 years, continuing to work part time even after he went away to college. The last three times I have been to the store, I have been extremely disappointed. The store itself is not as clean as it used to be, they are frequently out of stock on many staple items, and the area serving dinners shuts down sometimes as much as an hour early, as does the deli. The buffets are dried out look unappetizing. Check out at Wegmans was always a pleasant experience, and my son was "taught" how to bag groceries. Clerks dont even look at you now and the last girl we had was literally throwing stuff in the bags...a bunch of organic bananas tossed in onto a loaf of bread, etc. Produce used to be the best bar none. Lately however, I have found that two out of every five boxes of strawberries has mold, fruit will be rotted and brown, in general the fruits and vegetables are no longer as fresh as they used to be, etc. It's a shame when you know how Wegmans is usually run to go to this particular store. I spend the extra 10 minutes to go to the one in Cherry Hill. Wegmans corporate really needs to make some surprise visits or send a few secret shoppers. read more

Love love love the selection. Hate hate hate the roads near it and the parking lot. Store itself is ginormous so it takes a long time to wend your way through. Lots of cashiers, so checkout is fast. Overhead railroad train traversing the store is really cute. read more

This place goes above and beyond for customer satisfaction! They pride themselves on attention to detail, oustanding customer service and top notch training, and it shows! I've witnessed first hand the kind of rude people these cashiers have to tolerate...and they manage to maintain their composure and professionalism! People can be BEYOND rude, and these employees remain pleasant. Kudos to the management of Wegman's for their outstanding employees, and let me say that their extreme patience while assisting some extremely "high maintenance" customers does not go unnoticed! They have a really good flower shop that opens until late night. I was able to get my flowers on immediate need

Great selection, including gluten-free foods, that allows my family to shop in one place instead of several different stores. The store brand products are mostly comparable or better than name brands, with a few exceptions. Our grocery bill is lower than it would be at other supermarkets. I love the liquor store on site. The only drawbacks are the ready-to-eat bars (too expensive) and the clientele. People tend to shop in packs (ie. kids, both parents and grandparents all together), spend way too much time socializing and are oblivious to others around them (ie running carts into live bodies). read more

Congratulations to Wegmans for getting the highest score in the country by Consumers Reports - I knew it - I shop there twice a week! They have fine tuned the three P's - People, Product and Price! Everyone there is nice and helpful and I want to work there too. The quality is superior and the selection unparalleled - and like Crazy Eddie used to say - "... the prices are INSANE!" My husband and I are extremely upset and disappointed about the way we were treated today at your establishment. Occasionally we eat dinner before venturing into the isle to complete our food shopping for the week. Today just may be our last time ever stepping foot inside your doors. My husband wants cheese on his chili. Is that such an unheard of wish? So he went to the salad bar and put cheese on his chili. I notice eyes watching us and making faces. After we pay for our food and as we are walking upstairs to eat. We get barricaded from walking -by an older worker. Who was informed by your two rats. Reprimanding us for taking cheese, calling us unsanitary and dirty. We may not dress in fancy clothing when we shop and we have long hair for religious and spiritual reasons. We are not dirty. I am so appalled right now. I didn't even touch my meal. Better yet we decided not to spend our money food shopping here and we rather spend more at Whole Foods. At least they respect us there. I don't know what you plan to do about this but if you are going to serve chili at least have cheese near by for your customers. More importantly you should teach your employees to respect your customers - because obviously their parents didn't do that great of a job. read more

My wife does all of the shopping for the household but once in a while I go with her. We were very happy that the Wegmans opened up in Mt. Laurel, we used to go to the West Windsor location. When they first opened up about 5 years ago, the store was pristine- there were porters in almost every section, the bathrooms were always clean it was just a great place to shop and I did not mind that it was a little over priced. Now you go there, its a mess, there is paint missing on the walls as soon as you enter, the floors are not clean, the Asian bar where there was once fresh food is now gross, it is never fresh and the bar is over priced. Again do not mind paying more for quality, but this store is not. I do not think that management was prepared for the foot traffic that this store does. They most likely put the former porters on the registers and the store shows it. Hint, clean and maintain your shop at night and maintain the Wegmans name of quality among other things. We found that Whole Foods is a far better store to shop. read more
