I am only rating the staff at this store. I was there on Sunday in the afternoon. They are busy stocking items but don't ask for help because of the three employees I spoke with they all had the attitude that they were not there to help me. I won't be going back here again, this is not the first time I have been treated this way at this store. I brought it up to the store manager before when someone almost ran me over with a cart they used to stock with. He gave me the BS answer and didn't change anything. read more

I have been a customer at Wegmans since it first opened. Its a big store with huge selection and awesome customer service. They have organic and gluten free food sections as well which is great. The hot food bar is great as well for lunch. I have recommended it to friends and family. read more

A big shout out to Wegmans catering. They did a superb job catering our Christmas dinner. I was a little nervous about ordering Christmas dinner, but we're from out of town. My daughter's kitchen really isn't equipped to cook a meal like that and I didn't want to spend our two days here cooking anyways! I must have called them three or four times the last two weeks. Everyone I talked to was very professional and helpful. (even the guys answering the phone at the store were pleasant ) We picked up the food today, and the process was very organized. Didn't take long at all even with the six or seven orders ahead of us being picked up. The orders are large, so we tasted most of the dishes for lunch today. Everything was really good. The turkey was moist and tasty, the green beans were perfectly el dente. The veggie sushi bites were so good that they're all gone now! Salad was fresh and tasty. Haven't tasted the mashed potatoes and gravy yet, but I'm sure they won't disappoint. Thanks to Joanne, the manager and everybody in the department for taking the stress off of me and making our delicious Christmas dinner. read more

I visit Wegmans 2 to 3 times a week and it's a fantastic store, and in light of my last Wegmans review deserving of a bump. They have a very good selection of almost everything. And if you can keep away from making those fancy purchases their prices aren't too bad either. There's one big frustration with this store and that's the constant congestion inside the store. There's three big culprits; donk customers who park in the middle of the aisle, placement of product displays, and restocking carts. There's little that can be done about the inconsiderateness of others, but the restocking carts and the product displays are fully in control of the store. The product displays are probably doing exactly what they are intended to do, be in your way so that you must look at them. And when someone does stop at one of these displays, you're just better off circumnavigating the store to get where you were going. You can usually count on several restocking carts to be strategically found around the store at any hour, manned or not. They are very long and the fact that someone is not constantly unloading them tells me that there is no urgency in this task. I love wegmans, but still room for improvement. read more

Best grocery store period. End of story. People that say it's expensive aren't buying the right stuff.

Wegmans is always a great place to go for groceries or a bite to eat, always have a great experience here! (:

This is my favorite grocery store. They always have everything I need. The meat and produce are top quality. Their prices are usually better than any other grocery store. read more

I am sad I cannot give Wegmans more than 5 stars. I just moved to gainesville from toronto, canada and lets just say going to wegmans is a really happy part of my dayy! The store is huge!!!!!! And it honestly has EVERYTHING' honestly EVERYTHING! Ontop of everything, not only are the Wegman brand products cheaper than all the other brands but they taste AMAZING!. I am so proud to be buying the wegmans brand. It is not like those great value brands where you have to think twice about buying them. Love youWegmans!!!!! .. See you soon!! read more

Excellent customer service and quality food. True professionals.

I love this store. The first day I was overwhelmed by how large the store was, but a nice lady gave me a map so that I could easily locate the items. My daughter enjoys the small train above when you walk . The prices are wonderful and they take all coupons which double as well read more

Gotta love Wegmans. Huge store with the most fresh vegetables and fruits. Great selections and cleanliness is a plus.

Wonderful employees, they are always willing to help and go above and beyond. Food quality is amazing!

I eat lunch here all the time and think the quality of the food is great. I wish they'd switch up the selections a bit more frequently, but it is always good! The store is very clean and organized and I can't think of anything negative to say about any of my experiences there! read more

not a fan of the redesign and reorganization. Even the store workers can't direct you to the correct "new aisle". Traffic "flow" in the bakery/hot bar intersection is more like "grid lock" with the new steam table placement. read more

I have spent many happy hours shopping in the Wegemans in Gainesville, Va. Today I was shopping for my daughter's birthday and was quite loaded with goodies when I went through the checkout. The cashier first (very slowly) registered the bulky heavy items in my cart then began checking the items I had placed on the belt with a divider before and after my order. I noticed that she was placing my (very expensive) gourmet cheese platters and other gourmet items in the bottom of bags and then started to place heavy items on top. I asked her not to do that and showed her how to place the platters in the bag so that it's not squashed. It took a considerable time to finish and by that time I needed to visit the ladies room. She handed me my receipt and I threw it in my bag. I asked her if I could leave my buggy full of groceries next to the end of her counter for a few minutes. She agreed and I was back in less than five minutes. When I returned there was a woman in black standing there and all my groceries had been removed from the buggy and replaced on the counter. The woman (who I suppose is the floor supervisor) never introduced herself but was very rude to me. The cashier was following her lead and making snide remarks to me as well. I was still puzzled about what was happening. I eventually discovered that the cashier had made 2 orders out of the groceries I was purchasing--one order for the bulky items in the cart and another order for the items I placed on the counter. When I signed the receipt electronically and rushed to the ladies room I did not realize it did not have all my groceries on there. By the time I finally figured this out and waited for them to re-ring my groceries and bag them again (everything was very squashed at this point) I had suffered abuse from the cashier, the nasty supervisor and the customer standing behind me. Needless to say, this was not a pleasant experience. And this ends my association with this retailer. I felt like I had taken a beating by the time I left and I was still trying to determine how the whole fiasco occurred. The cashier told me it was my fault since I had placed a bar on the counter before and after my order. But that's what the bar is there for. I had no idea she had split my order in two. So even though I love the store this total lack of customer courtesy has made me highly unlikely to go back again. read more

First I will say I nevee grocery shop here. ..over priced and poor lauout. I will give kudos for having a milk, egg and creamer case up front...if the stuff wasn't expired half the time. What has done a complete nose dive downhill is ANY of the prepared foods and bakery. They eliminated hot entrees altogether unless you want to pay 8 bucks a pound for dried up bone in chicken and mac and cheese (bet they make a mint off it) the bakery used to have full size danish and crossiants for a bit over a dollar. Now they are mini and what a bargin at 6 for $5!!! Are you kidding me??? Someone actually got me some and after I had a heart attack on price I found then to be bland and tasteless with very little filling. Used to like the asian bar when they opened...lots of variety and good tasting food..now it basically all tastes the same and is mostly cheap chicken dishes with what looks like different sauces but all taste the same...like salt. Given location one would think they would be more high end on quality and ingredients. Honestly it is the closer to me than any other ther store but I just keep driving. Not to mention staff is rude and unhelpful..when you can get someone to help you read more
