The whole interaction felt dismissive and disrespectful. It's really disappointing to see how the atmosphere has changed -- it no longer feels welcoming, especially toward Hispanic customers. I speak perfect English and was born here, but the attitude I experienced made me feel unwelcome. I won't be coming back.

If it's your first time here you may want to drive around before you park. Depending on what type of apples you're aiming for you may want to drive closer as it's an incline up. You pay for your apples at the store. There you can find pies, apple cider, bread, canned goodies and they also sell meats. The apple season began a month ago and most of the apple trees were picked at height level. We used an apple picker to get the apples high up. It was a beautiful, clear day ; about 80 degrees. Watch your ankles as the ground is uneven and there can be a lot of apples on the ground under and near the trees. There were other vendors near the store and portable toilets throughout the property. We are hoping to pick peaches next season!

There is so much more than just tulip picking. My kids had such a blast enjoying the tulip-themed playground on site and the food trucks. They've clearly done this before and it's mostly staffed by friendly high school students. We were allowed to pick 5 tulips each, so for the four of us, we had 20 tulips. Upon leaving, staff will wrap up the tulips to ensure you picked the right amount. You can pick more but pay per stem. The young woman who helped wrap our flowers was very kind to our kids. She even helped them count all the flowers and papers, which was very sweet. It was a really fun day out. It sells out quickly, so advanced tickets are necessary.

We went the last week of May and there were still hundreds of strawberries to pick from! When you first enter the orchard/farm they give you a box that contains 6 of the strawberry holders. When we went in May 2021, they were around $4.99/lb. You have rows and rows of strawberries to pick from that are spread out nicely enough that it was easy to avoid people who didn't wear masks. The process was easy and the strawberries were delicious! My family and I demolished 6 boxes in less than a week.

We have since gone to other farmer's markets that are dog-friendly, such as Manassas Park Farmer's Market and Mosaic District Farmer's Market during the weekends. The Thursday market in Old Town Manassas is okay for produce and some snacks - but also not dog-friendly. Note that there's no law about not allowing dogs to open-air markets. If the point of this rule is to alienate dog owners who have money to spend, then you have become successful.
