I have never had a long wait in the checkout line. Maybe one or two customers were ahead of me in the checkout line but it didn't take long for me to checkout, because it always goes fast. Cashiers have always been friendly and helpful. The only problem with Wegmans is their enormous size inside their store. From produce to cold boxes is a long walk for an old man like me and sometimes I think I may have to show my passport. Back to their groceries. I am amazed at the freshness, quantity, and variety of their produce. It stays the same for their other grocery items too. Whatever strange grocery item you are seeking, seek it at Wegmans and you should find it. The store has always been clean and a well lighted place. Next time you need some groceries, try Wegmans.

Before the checkout line, I enjoyed shopping in this neighborhood Wegmans. As a vegan, I am a big fan of Wegmans thanks to their excellent selection of faux meats & cheeses, as well as beautiful produce, dry beans, and cruelty-free health & home products. Clean, intuitively laid out, and well stocked, I appreciate the interior environment as a pleasing place to shop. The location is fantastic, sharing a plaza with Old Navy, Five Below, Dick's and Ross. YES: vegan friendly

Wegmans - Great food bar. It was delicious however, at $15 per lb, I spent $20 and change with no drink. Great food. Not a great deal.

I'm absolutely FURIOUS!! I just returned from Harris Teeter #HarrisTeeter #HT in Warrenton,…read moreVirginia. I shopped and FILLED my small cart, top & bottom. I go through Checkout #1, and was rang up by a #Teeter Associate. I was tempted by the sales, and purchased far more than what I had originally gone in there for. I pay with my card, and ease over to the Customer Service counter to play my Powerball numbers, after my items are paid for and bagged. Afterwards, I head towards the door, briefly looking at #Starbucks mugs and glanced over at the holiday candy that was being stocked. In my peripheral vision, I see 2 Managers easing to the front, 'incognito,' or so they thought, but I still didn't give it a second thought, that is UNTIL my cart locked up at the door on a dime. My original thought was that I had ran over an item on the floor, so I tried to move again. By the time I looked up, a Teeter Associate was at my cart with a scanner to UNLOCK the #AutoCartLock that #HarrisTeeterHT have now installed on their carts. When I asked the Associate why my cart locked up, she said, "you were not at the register long enough for the system to deactivate the lock." Like, #WTF!!! What the hell you mean I wasn't at the Associate manned register long enough, when my receipt look like a long #CVS receipt, and it's almost as long as my damn legs, and I'm 5'10" tall?! I didn't use the self-service registers, and have ALWAYS refused to use them! She unlock the cart, and apologize. That's not gonna fly with me! You don't lock my cart up, while other customers behind me walk out without incident! I'm NOT buying the BS they tried to sell me!! I turn around and go directly to CS. Those same 2 Managers come to the counter in an attempt to explain away the stop, NOW blaming it on a broken sensor at Register 1. Now, for the sake of argument, if they KNEW the auto-release-lock sensor was broken, why open the damn register when there are NUMEROUS other registers to open???‍ I'm NOT buying the explanation, because they know as well as I do, why they stopped ME, and not other customers!! Plain and simple, I was stopped because of the color of my skin, PERIOD!! I refunded EVERYTHING on that damn receipt!! I was too humiliated and mad to accept the TWO weak explanations they tried to peddle!! A day before #VeteransDay and this is what I encountered after clearly being scanned by their Associate!! It's one thing to be questioned in the parking lot by a customer when I park in a #Veteran parking space, and it's another blow to be insulted when I shop and PAY for EVERYTHING in my damn cart, inside the store!! #VeteransDay2025 #Army #RetiredArmy

I was very impressed with the quality and volume of everything that I got, especially compared to how affordable it is. I love that 4P Foods has made the process of getting food via CSA so easy and convenient. You can get local veggies, meat, dairy, and pantry items for a really good price, no more than you would pay at the grocery store, and I feel great knowing that I am supporting local farms. It's really easy to put in my order, select what I want each Saturday and then just sit back and wait for my delivery. I also love the recipes that they send for ideas on dishes to make. Participating in a sustainable food source and cooking a plant-based diet are ways that I am resisting the impact of capitalism on black bodies. I would love to see more foods sourced from black owned farms in the region.

Having recently been to the farmers market in Stanton, I come back to Warrenton and am baffled by the repetition and lack of activity at the Warrenton Market. Maybe it is that there is no place to have one, but I am sure there must be somewhere bigger for the market to grow. How about a park or something? Shoot, I have a pasture they can set up in. So, maybe I am a little biased. I tired to get a spot to sell eggs and poultry and was told that they did not have any room for new vendors That they have a limit to number of booths. Competition is what makes the world work. Let a few more soap/bakedgood/mushroom/spice/livestock vendors, whatever, join in. Let it grow. Let some people making things in, that is what a free economy is all about. And what better place to showcase everything that your county/city/burg can do. Just my 2 cents.

The Saturday farmer's market is at Lee & 5th Streets in Old Town and is a nice place to stop and do your week's worth of veggie shopping. It's a small farmer's market, but there is always a selection of seasonal, locally grown fruits and veggies. In the spring you'll find plant farms offering veggie and flower seedlings, and nurseries are sometimes there with annuals and perennials for sale. There's generally vendors with fresh baked goods as well, and sometimes crafters. I usually hit this market on Saturday mornings and the Green Barn market in The Plains on Sundays.

Unfortunately, my recent experiences have been completely different. The girl at the register has been consistently rude and unfriendly, and even had someone else ring me up instead of helping me herself. Most recently, I came with a friend for the haunted maze. When we asked the host where the line was, she just kept laughing and repeating "it's right there," even though there were multiple lines and it was unclear where to go. The whole interaction felt dismissive and disrespectful. It's really disappointing to see how the atmosphere has changed -- it no longer feels welcoming, especially toward Hispanic customers. I speak perfect English and was born here, but the attitude I experienced made me feel unwelcome. I won't be coming back.
