Clean, intuitively laid out, and well stocked, I appreciate the interior environment as a pleasing place to shop. So I walk in, confident that I am close to achieving caffeine nirvana - I proceed over to the coffee station - they have one of those large pump thermos containers for the coffee after it is brewed. So I pump out a cup, I go to taste it, and it's stone cold. So I call over to the clerk, he comes over, looks at it, scratches his head, then goes and says something in some Asian language (not sure which it was) to a lady working behind the Deli counter - she says something to him, he comes back and tells me they have not brewed any coffee today - this is left over from yesterday. I'm thinking to myself: "Excuse me! What kind of place is this? Wouldn't you at least clean up at the end of the day and empty out old coffee and rinse out the thermos? I guess not!" I have no idea what anything else is like here - they offer sandwiches and other foods here - check it out next time you are driving through Marshall - let's see if we can elevate their star rating... When I decided to take a chance one late afternoon to buy chicken thighs and the shelf was empty. The crew does not appear to restock frequently when this happens. This is an issue at other local Trader Joe's, but the checkout line wraps well around the store if you come on a busy day. When the store is stocked and you can move freely around the aisles, it is a great experience. Despite it being smaller than other stores, I still find what I need a majority of the time. Other items like a graham cracker pie crust or tartar sauce I have to go to a larger grocery store. The staff is friendly every time I'm there as well. It is always a pleasant and smooth checkout experience!

The girl at the register has been consistently rude and unfriendly, and even had someone else ring me up instead of helping me herself. Most recently, I came with a friend for the haunted maze. When we asked the host where the line was, she just kept laughing and repeating "it's right there," even though there were multiple lines and it was unclear where to go. The whole interaction felt dismissive and disrespectful. It's really disappointing to see how the atmosphere has changed -- it no longer feels welcoming, especially toward Hispanic customers. I speak perfect English and was born here, but the attitude I experienced made me feel unwelcome. I won't be coming back.
