Weezy's Ice Cream - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Corolla, North Carolina

Ice cream was great, workers were so kind, It was the $17 that got me... if you want overpriced BUT good ice cream go here for sure!

Plenty of choices available. Toppings too! Lack of seating is the biggest negative. Sign is hard to see from street. Convenient read more

Nothing that stands out necessarily from other ice cream shops, but had a good experience. Been here every time we come down to Corolla, and no complaints besides wishing they had more seating. There are a few outdoor seats at the end of that small strip read more

The icecream itself is phenomenal, and the ambience is cute, but I ordered and tipped nicely, and then proceeded to get yelled at by one of the staff when I asked for a lid for the order that she was making FOR ME and got told to order at the other end when I had already ordered. I proceeded to explain that I had already ordered and she proceeded to still be rude towards me and did not apologize for her brash behavior. I have been there before and enjoyed the service, but this was completely unacceptable customer service. I now regret tipping handsomely. read more

Chintziest ice cream place I've ever been to! I don't recommend going. I got a 2 scoop on a waffle cone for over $9 and I was shocked when they handed it to me. It looked way smaller than a single scoop at any respectable ice cream shop. They charge you 75 cents for a cake cone and they have signs posted that if your kid drops their ice cream they will only give you a discount, not a replacement. Only go if you have lots money you are trying to get rid of and are not at all hungry. read more

Weezy's is a cute little ice cream shop that offers 26 flavor options. The staff is courteous and kind, and the shop is clean and inviting. Will be visiting Weezy's again! read more

It is a cute shop. There was a wide variety of flavors. It was hard to find. We rode our bikes from the AirBNB and it was tucked in the back of the shopping center. We were able to find a place to sit and enjoy our ice cream. read more

Such friendly staff and amazing ice cream! The shop was also so cute. The birthday cake ice cream I got was also gluten free!

First thing: the ice cream itself is decent. But there's nowhere to enjoy it... everything about this place screams they don't want you to hang around. No tables and chairs, even outside. Signs that say NO RESTROOMS and that they won't replace your ice cream if you drop it. I felt unwelcome immediately. read more

Weezy's had the best ice cream I have ever tasted. The workers were so incredible and got our ice cream to us so quick! The scoops were also such a bang for your buck! 100/10 experience read more

Only one person was working the day our family came for ice cream. He was moving slowly but steadily through all the people in line before us. The ice cream was decent. read more

If you want to pay for ice cream that immediately falls off your cone 10 feet from walking out of the ice cream shop, this is this place. Since it was licked, no refund or replacement. Overpriced ice cream that you can't enjoy. Sign inside clearly stated if it falls off not their fault! Seems this happens frequently for a sign to be posted!!!! I ordered 2 scoops in a waffle cone. They literally sit it on the top and not down in the cone...had to get a flimsy spoon to fix myself. Cone was broken when handed, asked for a dish wanted to charge me a dollar for it. Not cool! I showed them it was broken then they gave me the dish for free. Definitely will not go back. Might as well throw a 10 dollar bill out the window... read more

Excellent service. The server was on her own and several people were in line. She kept everyone happy and did a great job.

Great ice cream. Had two real funny big dawgs(guys). Dont know their name but they were mad funny. Great ice cream aswell

Very busy but fast service. Very efficient. Ice cream flavors were fabulous... would go back again. Super friendly staff... read more

The ice cream was super super good and they had some good flavors but the milkshakes and root beer floats in my opinion was a little overpriced. There was no seating either so we did have to stand but it was fine. When we were deciding what flavors and ordering the lady looked like she was annoyed with us but the guy was friendly and did a great job and he was pretty fast, overall 7/10 would only recommend for the ice cream. read more

Should be 1.5 stars. First time to OBX as a backup honeymoon and we are big ice cream people. We went to a nearby place and it was awful so looked for our next option and saw Weezys. We rushed over and arrived at 8:55 knowing they close at 9. My husband asked if we could get a couple cones quick to be polite and the two workers were extremely huffy and rude. I've worked in customer service and have been in their same spot and would never treat someone that way. It was the most uncomfortable ice cream experience we have had. Throwing the scoops around and what not. They had some unique Hershey's flavors but we are from PA so nothing new to us. I'd even say their freezers are slightly too cold so it made the ice cream not as creamy. We won't go again due to the service. I know it's off season but you're open until 9. We walked out at 8:59 and shouldn't have been treated that way. read more

Serving up Hershey's ice cream in a choice of cup, cake or waffle cone. There's about 12 flavor selections & a variety of toppings. The 1 scoop size is very generous & priced around $4.50 with waffle cone. A large selection of candy, sold per piece & small selection of bottled drinks also available. There's 2 park-like benches inside for seating, but a bit awkward as they both face the serving counter, no outside seating & no restroom. read more

Weezy's Ice Cream - the outside of the building - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Corolla, North Carolina

Swung by this place last night and was disappointed. We tried three different flavors; cold brew, vanilla, and raspberry. All were too sugary and was overwhelmed with how sweet it was. The place felt less clean and had poor customer service. We won't be back anytime soon. read more

I suggest trying a different Ice cream shop!!!! That is unless you are ok with rudeness! Man working was doing a great job trying to keep up with orders while the red head lady took orders with a very rude attitude. I watched as she rushed customers trying to look over the selection rolled her eyes at almost every person that didn't rush to place their order quickly. So you best know what you want before you walk in because evidently you are on a time limit to glance over the ice cream flavors. She needs to switch places with the man that way she has no interaction with the customers besides handing them the ice cream. Even when customers are not polite you as a business owner/employee you do your best to fix rectify the situation...you do not become CONFRONTATIONAL!!! My personal opinion the red head needs a new job one that doesn't involve the public!! read more

$$$ the ice cream was great but for 2 cones with 2 scoops it was over $13. Awesome ice cream though! read more

Weezy's Ice Cream - a hand holding a cup of ice cream - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Corolla, North Carolina

The ice cream was good and the portions were absolutely generous. The two young ladies working last night were upbeat and dealt with an enormous line efficiently. They could have been overwhelmed by the crowd, but they maintained their hustle and positive attitude. read more

We were looking for ice cream, and saw the Wheezy's Ice Cream in Duck. We were so glad we did! The Salty Caramel Truffle flavor was delicious! They are diligently working on social distancing, for those who need to know. The young man who served us was attentive and helpful. We would definitely go back! read more

$5 for a scoop of Hershey's is crazy even for beach prices. Could I at least get a napkin? Also, please use gloves when hand-dipping and serving ice cream after accepting cash payments. read more

The ice cream is delicious and they had the most amazing flavors! I got salted bananas foster (YUM), my husband got moose tracks, and my two daughters got cookies and cream. We will definitely return! read more

Good ice cream but not worth the money. Waffle cones are an extra charge but that is the only cone they have. Some members of our group ordered a single while others ordered a double and the single scoop was bigglet than the double. When I said something to the worker his response was basically "oh well". read more

Took our family for ice cream tonight and as I waited I read the store policy's , one of which is that they will not replace a cone if ice cream falls to the floor. I turn to take my cone from the attendant and he is not wearing gloves handing me the cone I ordered and paid for just before he started scooping. I asked him about gloves and he looked dumbfounded and said they didn't have any. When he finally did wash his hands it was only after he had given everyone their ice cream. The cones each had one scoop and were not pressed down to prevent them from being licked off the cone. A particular list of rules posted by the owner not to be more particular with cleanliness and service. The attendant was apologetic and embarrassed. read more

The ice cream was good. It's October so not too many places still open. The one employee that was working was not very friendly and didn't seem to happy to see us. Even though we were the only people around. read more

This review is for the DUCK LOCATION Weezy's Ice Cream, which has awful service and is unsafe but conveniently doesn't have their own Yelp or TripAdvisor page. Hopefully you can relay this message to the other location. 1) I will start with COVID-19 related issues as they are most relevant and important to many. First and foremost, DO NOT come here if you or someone close to you is immunocompromised or concerned about COVID. Despite their "masks required" sign, they allow anyone and everyone without masks into the store and happily serve them. Moreover, the way their store is set up makes it IMPOSSIBLE to social distance inside unless there are like 2 people inside. They've pushed their ice cream bar forward, squishing customers into a small space while giving employees (who aren't social distancing at all) extra space. It was also ridiculous that the old lady at the counter reprimanded a family for waiting outside the window and watching in for the ice cream when it was ready, when they were obviously outside because they were clearly uncomfortable with the 15+ people in the store, at least 4 of whom were NOT wearing masks and were being served anyways. 2) The old woman at the counter is extremely rude (see reprimanding example above) and the three high school aged girls working the ice cream are extremely unprofessional, shrieking and giggling instead of making people's ice cream orders. 3) The way the store is set up makes NO SENSE and causes back up of orders which translates into a very stuffed space, especially since no maximum occupancy is being enforced. Instead of ordering by the ice cream like EVERY OTHER ICE CREAM ESTABLISHMENT, you go to the cash register to order and pay, making the service SLOW and the inside are congested. 4) Finally, my SMALL scoop was larger than my friend's MEDIUM scoop. I ordered a single scoop of vanilla and she ordered two scoops of chocolate, but somehow mine ended up bigger. And she paid 3$ more. read more

Such an amazing experience! shoutout cara and David for the amazing service!

Love love love this ice cream. They have creative, but not crazy, flavors. I'm a huge fan of the brownie option. The trick is to not be eating ice cream ever night on vacation read more

Service was efficient and organized. Serving size was good, 1 scoop is sufficient. Response via phone is very good. Notes: Spoons are very flimsy. Don't take big bites. Also, to get a cone and then ask for a cup is an extra dollar, so be aware. Ice cream is Hershey's, not homemade. read more

The ice cream was pretty good but very poor customer service. The manager was very rude and sarcastic. My 2 children each had 2 samples and my husband and I didn't have samples. The manager said loudly under her breath "guess we need to buy more sample spoons now". Then later she was confrontational when we asked for clarification in price. read more

The ice cream is decent, not overwhelmingly outstanding, but the place is definitely high tech with Apple Pay available, much better than Sunset Ice Cream and Coffee which takes only cash and still operates in the age of faxes. The portion size is small, like most of the ice cream places around OBX. Two scoops are equivalent to what you'd get for the size and price of one up north. If the portions are more generous, I would give them five stars. Choices are very limited when I visited, about 8-10, definitely not what you'd expect from a professional ice cream parlor. The place is extremely clean. There is an empty portion that seems to be waiting for tables and chairs. We visited in March, so perhaps they were in the process of furnishing up for the season. read more

Servers REFUSED to wear their masks properly. The sign on the front door says "masks mandatory" yet of the three adolescent girls serving, only one was properly wearing a mask. The second wore the mask below her nose and the third WAS NOT WEARING HER MASK AT ALL. Her mask was on her neck as she reached her head into the freezer again and again. When confronted she moved her mask above her nose and promptly removed it once we left the store. Additionally there was no hand sanitizer provided. I would give this 0 stars if I could. read more

This place is so great!! The ice cream was really good and they have a bunch of options and the customer service was great. The front counter people were super nice and talkative and my friend wasn't feeling great so they gave her an extra scoop on the house. Great place to visit! read more

A kid's ice cream was not packed well on the cone and ice cream fell on floor after one taste. The store would not give him a new cone so I bought one for him. I am a local and will never go there again. read more

Rude employees, not so good ice cream. Wanted to charge $1 for a spare cup....after having a sign stating no replacement - dropped cone policy. One employee said to the other give smaller scoops while serving us...Not so family oriented! No public restrooms. No seating outdoors and only 5 chairs inside. Not recommended to others. Dairy Queen is much more family friendly. read more

I worked at Weezy's ice cream and I can tell you there were some tricks pulled to give the least amount of ice cream possible to the customer. We were told to have the ice cream scoop sitting high on top of the cone to give the illusion there's more than there really is. I've been to other ice cream places around the area where the employees push the ice cream to the bottom of the cone.. and charge less. We also used a smaller scooper if the customer asks for 2 scoops, you honestly might even get less than what you would get for a single scoop. The manager was rude and would talk badly about customers once they left the building. Do yourself a favor and don't go there. read more
