I absolutely will not go anywhere else as I have had so many bad experiences with other places. The shop is busy and there is not much of a waiting area- but you are not paying for that (see great prices above). If it will be a while best to leave the car or just go down the street to a nearby restaurant and have a meal. The money you save will more than buy that for you. He has done all kinds of work for us some very extensive and I have brought other people there all happy. He is fully licensed so can do pre-purchase inspection, safety etc. He does not do e-test but can send you to a good and inexpensive place he knows for that.

Go me! Anyway, I took the Yaris in because the brakes were screaming and I didn't want them to stop working and make me the one to scream. Jimmy took care of me and the car and made some good recommendations for keeping her in good health going forward. Seems I've been a bit of a slacker, so the price tag was a tag high, but nothing was individually outrageously priced. When you put it all together (if I was clever I wouldn't have had to pay it all at once and could have done it over the year), my credit card was the one making the noise. Jim and his team fixed me up, though, all in the same day, and with a smile on their faces. Sitting in the garage smelling waiting room was actually pretty entertaining. There's a pamphlet, picture, or poster on practically every inch of wall space. I felt like a kid, twisting and turning to look at everything. Having an iPhone with Words With Friends on it didn't hurt either. All in all a great experience and I'll be back (not too long from now since I'm a responsible adult and all!)

Instead I obtained the camshaft position sensor from the local dealership for $110.00 and paid a competent reliable mechanic $250.00 for the replacement. So, basically saved $500.00 dollars. I would not recommend these mechanics for any out of towners. As I was out of town and probably explains the high cost charges. ;(

Further investigation revealed he had broken a part. It had cost me 600$ at Kavanaugh's but they refused to compensate me, thus losing me as a customer. I think they should have just taken responsibility and given me some compensation. Sadly, this did not happen. Marc is the only mechanic I should have let touch my car.

He yells at me..."I just fucking told you where to park for them!". Rude, ignorant, and couldn't be bothered to start the conversation with "good morning" or even "hello" . Recently paid a very high repair bill of basically diagnostic fees for an issue I feel they could have possibly caused from other recent repairs, I say this and find it very strange that upon researching the final cause, I cannot find this issue as being common at all which really makes me wonder how this happened. Guess what, I paid $1200 and the problem is still there. Basically wasted over $1000. Not nice. Those parts did not need to be replaced other than the suspicion they were causing the noise. Also, good luck getting a hold of Frank. I had to call numerous times, leaving numerous messages and send numerous emails (over many days and weeks), before finally getting a call back from Frank for an appt. Definitely not customer-oriented. Must already have too many clients. Time to find a new mechanic.
