I had a delivery for a business next door and I didn't know where to park. I backed onto Cotters lot to run into the other business to ask them where I need to go. Before I got very far, some ignorant guy comes out of Cotters and starts screaming, yelling , and swearing at me. I explained that I was just running into the other business to get instructions. He yells at me..."I just fucking told you where to park for them!". Rude, ignorant, and couldn't be bothered to start the conversation with "good morning" or even "hello" . Or even to have a conversation like a sane adult. Idiots like that need to understand that delivery drivers are potential customers. I will never ever spend one goddamn cent at that business. read more

I got my vehicle undercoated this past fall during Covid, so had to wear a mask as per their sogn. My vehicle was brought in right away and done on time. No crazy wait time. The staff was very friendly, and i was referred to go here by a friend who has gone for years. read more

Had my car rust proofed by Cotter's Auto Shop in Ottawa a few days ago. I am very meticulous with my car and always keep it absolutely as clean as possible. I requested that the holes not be drilled, as there was already existing ones from a previous owner's rust proofing mechanic, yet they drilled holes pretty much right beside them. I also asked them not to wash the car as it was -10 outside and it would just freeze and the car was moderately clean already. They said they would just do the windows and I said fair enough. I watched them pull the car out of the shop after being sprayed(took them less than 10 minutes, no idea how thats possible) and proceed to pull it into the wash bay. I walked down to the lobby and reminded them not to wash it, which was followed by the weekend manager jumping up and running into the shop and yelling "JUST THE WINDOWS". He then came back to the desk and explain that they have to do the windows. After I walked back to the waiting room, I watched the mechanic pick up the hose and starting spraying the entire car. I walked down and said bluntly "apparently your guys didn't understand you". He went back and yelled at them a little bit, but this wasnt anything new, as the music is cranked all the time and the mechanics look like Tom Hanks in Cast Away. The vocabulary used in front of clients was shocking. I watched an elderly lady who was sitting across from me raise her eye brows time and after time as they screamed f*** this and that across the shop. Finally, once I arriving home, I scanned over the car and realised that the left side of the car WASN'T sprayed! (I would know, it was clean and waxed a few days earlier, if it was sprayed it would at least feel oily, but no, it was dry! I like the Krown product but I will never, ever, use this joke for a mechanics shop again. I will be buying a couple cans of the spray myself and jacking the car up and spraying it myself, as I have no reason to believe that people with that amount of carelessness would actually take pride in what they do. read more
