I am a 100% disabled American veteran. I have a certified service dog…read more I've shopped at gross out for many years in Oregon. Today when I entered the weed California grocery outlet I was summarily asked to leave and told I could never shop there again. Even though my dog has been thoroughly trained to disregard extraneous stimulants. I was not asked to leave. I was told to leave under conditions that I would consider assault. That is loud voices commands, overbearing authority and plain rudeness. I left the store because the confrontation with the clerks was becoming either a slugfest or a shootout. These are the most rude people I have ever encountered. I understand from the weed California police that the owner Rodney Barr cares for his own disabled brother. Maybe he should tell his employees. I will be trying to contact the owner. This deserves more attention than he's been paying to his store. It's outrageous

I wanted to stop in cause I saw as I was browsing the internet, that Costco has changed up the…read morebagel selection. They sell them in bags of 8 now, instead of requiring you like before to but two bags of six for a dozen bagels. The new price is basically $5.00 for 8, so I guess the price per bagel has gone up, but what hasn't. !!HERE IS THE BIG NEWS! THE BAGELS ARE NOW WATER BOILED!! What that means is they're more like real bagels like you would find in an actual bagel shop, a more dense and chewy bagel, yeah like New York I guess, even though I've never been. The previous bagels were basically fluffy beard donuts! Costco ended their association with Einstein's bagels (the bread donut ones) and now makes their own using water boiling before baking. They're a little smaller around, but denser. I got a bag, just watch the dates. The staff was just putting some new one out. All the normal flavors are out the including cinnimon rasin. I tried them and, whoa, what a difference, it way better. Maybe not totally as good as an actual bagel shop, but way better than what they had before. I used to avoid Costco bagels, but not any more. Try them out! I just wish they were pre sliced ... that might be asking too much.

I expect a no frills, fast, easy shopping experience that saves me time and money. I DO NOT APPRECIATE being Singled out, Called out, and STALLED at the register while some UPSELLING SALESMAN tries to get me to spend $33 more money on the bloody MEMBERSHIP. Apparently, my membership ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH FOR COSTCO, So they try to UPSELL me in the F'ING CHECKOUT LINE. The clerk calls out LOUDLY "REWARDS"... and some dude with a SCREEN intervened in my sale and STALLS OTHER CUSTOMERS while he tries to UPSELL MY MEMBERSHIP. We spend maybe $100 a month at costco and if that isn't good enough for these VULTURES then F'em. Upselling me to a higher cost membership was a HUGE Mistake, so maybe they can live without my measly $100. What unprofessional, used car lot tactics. I am TRULY offended. Grocery Outlet is cheaper and MUCH FRIENDLIER.

Overall a great store with just a few things that bug me a bit…read more They've been closing way before the posted hours. It started off as a random thing and now it's happening more and more frequently. And when they close early is random so one day it'll be 10pm like normal and other days it 8pm. And it's not made clear. Very inconsistent and unreliable. It's totally fine if you want to change the operating hours just be CONSISTENT about it. Or just make a permanent change to hours. It's very frustrating when the posted hours say 10pm and they close at 8:00pm and youve scheduled your plans around them closing at 10. Especially if you aren't in the mood to drive into town. And for people who don't have a car or have unreliable transportation it must be even more frustrating. And in the past they close for maintenance / temporarily close which is fine. And totally understandable. It'd be very helpful if they posted a big yard sign in front of their driveway or something similar to visually notify people driving by they are temporarily closed. Just some form of visual notification at the beginning of their driveway would be wonderful. Because alot of people go to town and shop then swing by the dollar general on the way home. And you can't see the tiny sign they've placed in the door. So they look open.. and then you have to drive back to town to the dollar general in the city of weed. And it's an annoyance that could be avoided. Other than that great store. . I love having a store so close to lake shastina. That's the only reason I'm providing my constructive criticisms. I just want the store to continue to do well.
