    Cute rustic style!

    Really great wedding decorations and a lot of different rental linens and furniture. I had a great time picking out all the different items; table pieces really great owner work with us directly and the manger/owner was super helpful and flexible. I Highly recommend anyone getting married to check out them out. I did have to schedule an appointment because I think they have various office hours so I would call and book an appointment before coming.

Lina stepped up for us and helped put together a FANTASTIC party. She transformed a businesslike boardroom into a magical place for a ceremony. She provided the tables, chairs, curtains, most of the decorations, and did the floral pieces as well. She coordinated with our vendors and helped make the ceremony and luncheon one that my parents and their guests will remember forever. In addition to all the setup and coordination, she suggested a photo booth that would print out photos right there that all our guests enjoyed. We could not have done it without her and would gladly recommend her to anyone.

Once we eventually got our photos back we could see just how badly she had done. She used fake flowers when we paid for real, used the literal cheapest decor everywhere possible. We were sold a dream and were left with unlit tacky candles, plastic walls, exposed sand bags and BARE minimum decor. Practically everything she did for us was CHEAP and TACKY. She lied to us about having "a team" when it was just her husband and son that evening. When we reached out for a refund she agreed (clearly she knew she didn't do a good job) but when it was time to pay us she ghosted us for a year despite multiple efforts. Stay far away!!!

We…read morelive in St. Louis, MO so planning a wedding in Sacramento was going to be a little tough since I (the Bride) was from Southern California and the Groom had not lived in Sacramento for at least 10 years. We started planning a little closer to our wedding date in November 2009 (only 7 mo. of planning). Our wedding date was 5/30/10 - Memorial Day Weekend. She helped us find a ceremony and reception location (sending us a ton of photos via e-mail), secure 2 options for hotels for our out-of-town guests (about 70%), rentals for the ceremony. Helped us with the florist, a hair and make-up person, photographer, photobooth company...everything you could absolutely think of - she gave us at least 2 options based on what we were looking for. We only visited once (for one weekend) before the wedding where she scheduled 2 cake tastings, 2 florist meetings, food tasting (which was Mulvaney's and was AMAZING), trial hair & make-up, and visit to the ceremony location. She also helped me with verbiage and proofing on our wedding invitations, menu and programs - which we made. Kendra is very thorough and worked with all of our vendors. She is also very responsive on phone and e-mail and will respond (usually within 24 hours unless she had a wedding or is on vacation. On the day of our wedding, it is hard to show just how helpful she was since it was perfect and nothing went wrong. Her assistant for the day Jordan was also wonderful - she was always there ready to help and I really appreciated it...especially when I wanted to change out my shoes :o). We don't often leave reviews for other vendors (though we should) but we wanted to specifically point out a few things about Makenna that were noteworthy: *Her communication and organization before the wedding was superb. She was very clear and concise and her timeline was super detailed and well organized (we cannot say the same about all timelines we get from planners) *On the day of the event, she was very composed and relaxed! This may seem like a strange thing to point out, but this is the mark of someone who is good at what they do. It's not that she is "chill" or "doesn't care" it's because she's done her legwork and due diligence before the event to make sure that the day of goes smoothly *She goes above and beyond! There were a few venue issues that were solely the fault of the venue and no one else, Makenna immediately stepped in to help rectify these. She even got in her car and did a run to grab ice mid event (who does that???). Overall she is a true pro and made our day (and our client's wedding) amazing! If you're considering her as a wedding planner you can feel confident knowing she will take the time and care to make sure you have the celebration you deserve!

They helped us bring our vision to life while bringing up details neither of us had considered. My husband and I saw everything we'd planned with Makenna be executed beautifully on the day of, and were kept blissfully in the dark about any stressful situations that may have happened on wedding day! The servers were professional, friendly, and so attentive to our guests' needs. The grounds are just sooo beautiful especially when their roses are in bloom. The ceremony area has two areas. One area faces the water and the other is more of a greenery view which both are just wonderful, you don't have to worry about the sun being in your eyes. The bar and buffet were placed right outside the reception area which was kinda nice so the long lines doesn't get in the way of the tables and dance floor. Loved the large glass chandeliers and draped curtain/tent vibes. Food was sooo good. I heard they made their food at the location so it nice and fresh. Tri tip, salmon mash potatoes and gravy with green beans, feta apple spinach salad and bread with butter was the menu. Drinks were white and red wine, beer and cocktail of choice was a berry sangria which was my favorite.

It's rare to work with a venue that treats vendors like valued collaborators, but Lakeview truly did. As a guest, I got to see another level of excellence. The entire event ran seamlessly. In my opinion, having a wedding planner was a necessity and one I would advise other brides to have, even if it means scaling back on other costs for your wedding reception. For me personally, having a wedding planner was the difference between me just being able to "pull off" my reception and me being able to enjoy it. To save some money, I hired KWE for month of/day of coordination rather than full event planning (though they were available from the get-go for contract help, referrals and all-around advice). The month before my event, Kate swooped in and took care of all the details: designing the layout of the venue, coordinating with the vendors, etc. The week before, day before and the day of she took care of everything! She picked up supplies, was on hand to greet and coordinate with other vendors, did setup and cleanup, delivered items to my house after the reception, helped keep the party on track and so much more! I am not sure if there were any snafus (though I am sure there were, how couldn't there have been?) because if there were, she took care of them on the spot. She even jumped into action when I spilled red wine on my gown early in the evening. I really, really, really cannot emphasize enough how wonderful it was to have Kate and her team on board. I strongly advise you to consider hiring her for your event.

She is very professional and always has a can do attitude. She will strive to make your event special and if you have a certain vision, she will bend over backwards to make it happen. Our wedding was interfaith with two ceremonies and there were many cultural aspects throughout the day. With all this, it was very difficult to plan and keep track of all the moving parts but Kate was the glue that held it all together.
