Things to know..... this is a very small office and the doctor works alone with the help of the vet techs - they are NOT an ER (and will tell you so) so if you are not already a patient and your pet is having an emergency you should go to an emergency hospital. If you expect an office run like a brand new vet center you won't find it here but what you will find is the great vet service, at reasonable prices, and care like you may have experienced from vet back in the day. This team of folks goes above and beyond for their patients and it is why many of the people that bring their pets here have been returning time after time for 20+ years.

Dr. Nick is so caring, patient, and understanding. Often he's returning calls until 8pm and has given his personal cell phone number if there are any issues post sedation, regardless of procedure. From tumor removal surgery to dental cleaning he calls to check on our pets. He will also ask about how my parents are doing and their pets when I go for a visit with mine. Colleen is fantastic with grooming. My long haired cats would get shaved in the summer so they were more comfortable and she always made them look so adorable and smell so nice. She's also so kind and compassionate, plus prompt with returning calls. If there is a specialized surgery Dr. Nick can't do, he has always referred me to excellent surgeons. For end of life issues, the staff are above and beyond caring and loving. This doctor truly seems to love his work and it will be such a loss whenever he does retire. I have switched to this vet around 2019 and every time we go we always have had a different vet and…read morethey were all so lovely and the people at check in. recently my senior dog has had eye issues this one doctor (dr.cambell) stepped up and has made sure we were with him every time and not a different doctor to make sure the progress was checked by him. my dog had a bad day and he was willing to take her within an hour at a different location that he was working at just to make sure she was alright. this is the best vet and has the kindest workers. they also will call after appointments to check in just to make sure everything is alright. 100/10 recommend to everyone

Dr Platteo walked us through everything and even though it was still really hard she, and the staff made it very easy during a difficult time. What prompted me to write the review however was after a week or so we received a hand written letter from Dr Platteo that was incredibly nice. We will be going there for regular services as well. Losing a pet/friend is never easy but it was a comfort to know what was coming and the care they showed.

Back then, the care felt much more personalized and relationship-driven. As the practice has grown, unfortunately, that personal touch has diminished, and visits now feel more transactional. That said, the vets and staff are generally competent and friendly. However, my most recent visit left me feeling quite frustrated. The exam itself cost $100 -- a bit on the high side, but something I was willing to tolerate for quality care. What really upset me was the cost of the prescribed medication: 15 pills priced at $80. Out of curiosity, I looked it up online and found the exact same prescription, in the same dosage, available on Chewy for just $20. When I called to ask about the price difference, I was given an explanation about "economies of scale," which frankly doesn't hold up -- not at that level of markup. A 400% price increase over a reputable online retailer is excessive by any standard. While I still value the veterinary services and will continue to bring my pets here for medical care, I will no longer purchase medications directly from the clinic. It's unfortunate, because I would have gladly paid a reasonable premium for the convenience and to support the practice -- but this level of price inflation is simply not justifiable. I hope they reconsider their pricing structure in the future. Until then, I recommend getting prescriptions filled elsewhere.

I had an awful experience at this place...to the point that I hate stopping at the traffic light…read morewhere it is located. My friend called ahead to them know that my cat was near the end and that I wanted her euthanized. We were told that they would place us in a room (NOT a treatment room) When I arrived, they took her to the treatment area instead of into a room and I was super confused. They freaked when they saw her...it was like one of those frantic scenes on those medical dramas when multiple people run to the gurney. My friend was like "hello, she is here to be euthanized and they apologized. They sat me in a cold exam room and they brought my sweet Tatiana to me wrapped in a towel. The second they placed her in my arms, pinkish liquid started coming our of her nose and mouth. I freaked out an fortunately my friend, who is a hospice nurse, was with me and held as the trainee fumbled around with trying to find a vein for the final shot. Her veins had collapsed so my literally had to tell her where to place the needle. All of a sudden I heard this gushing sound and screamed "what was that??" Fortunately my friend warned me not to look. There was so much liquid released that she had to borrow scrubs and her sweater was ruined. It was absolutely traumatizing. When I left the treatment area they asked me if I wanted to take home the carrier. I don't know exactly what I said but it wasn't nice. Nobody told me what the hell was going on. I had been there only 4 weeks earlier and was simply told "you have a very sick kitty." And then, when I trusted them to help us through her final moments, they failed. I called a few days letter and cried as I explained what happened. The woman (manager?) was not very empathetic and made excuses for what happened but at least she refunded me the cost. I wish that I had the positive experience that others who have reviewed this had. The image of her sick, skinny little body wrapped in a towel with that stuff coming out of her nose and mouth is forever etched in my brain. I am working hard to replace that memory with a happy one but it is really hard. This should never happen to any pet mom again.

They do an amazing job of creating a calm and relaxing environment for both owner and fur kid. Dr. Kucia took time to examine my cat with care and made him feel at ease, I've never seen him so relaxed at the vet! She explained everything to me and made me feel at ease as well (I was having some pet mom guilt). Rachel and Dawn showed so much genuine care for my pet as well and I instantly knew we found our forever vet. I've already recommended them to every pet owner I know.

This goes a long way in this type of practice. While I understand an immediate response isn't always feasible, i Am still sitting here, my animal now over the rainbow bridge with no call back.
