Things to know..... this is a very small office and the doctor works alone with the help of the vet techs - they are NOT an ER (and will tell you so) so if you are not already a patient and your pet is having an emergency you should go to an emergency hospital. If you expect an office run like a brand new vet center you won't find it here but what you will find is the great vet service, at reasonable prices, and care like you may have experienced from vet back in the day. This team of folks goes above and beyond for their patients and it is why many of the people that bring their pets here have been returning time after time for 20+ years.

Dr. Nick is so caring, patient, and understanding. Often he's returning calls until 8pm and has given his personal cell phone number if there are any issues post sedation, regardless of procedure. From tumor removal surgery to dental cleaning he calls to check on our pets. He will also ask about how my parents are doing and their pets when I go for a visit with mine. Colleen is fantastic with grooming. My long haired cats would get shaved in the summer so they were more comfortable and she always made them look so adorable and smell so nice. She's also so kind and compassionate, plus prompt with returning calls. If there is a specialized surgery Dr. Nick can't do, he has always referred me to excellent surgeons. For end of life issues, the staff are above and beyond caring and loving. This doctor truly seems to love his work and it will be such a loss whenever he does retire. I have switched to this vet around 2019 and every time we go we always have had a different vet and…read morethey were all so lovely and the people at check in. recently my senior dog has had eye issues this one doctor (dr.cambell) stepped up and has made sure we were with him every time and not a different doctor to make sure the progress was checked by him. my dog had a bad day and he was willing to take her within an hour at a different location that he was working at just to make sure she was alright. this is the best vet and has the kindest workers. they also will call after appointments to check in just to make sure everything is alright. 100/10 recommend to everyone

Dr Platteo walked us through everything and even though it was still really hard she, and the staff made it very easy during a difficult time. What prompted me to write the review however was after a week or so we received a hand written letter from Dr Platteo that was incredibly nice. We will be going there for regular services as well. Losing a pet/friend is never easy but it was a comfort to know what was coming and the care they showed.

They helped diagnose my beloved cat Achilles with a shockingly advanced cancer. It took multiple tests and procedures in under 24-hours, and they had to deliver a result no one wants to hear. Throughout the process the staff treated me and my cat with such care and dignity. After the initial x-rays, the head vet took the time to acknowledge how painful and shocking it was. Every member of their staff was so genuine. One of the nurses told me she loved that my cat had a mix of black and pink toe pads. Another shared stories of the puppy who would be the last overnight neighbor my cat had. When we went to say goodbye to Achilles, he had a pink paint mark on his forehead that another staff member explained was lipstick from an overnight nurse who kisses all her patients. Our euthanasia nurse made him a plate of cheese, mousse pate, and little crunch treats before he had to go. I am so glad he was so loved in his last hours. Was it expensive, yes. There's a wider conversation here about prices that staff don't set themselves, and pet care in America. But for anyone in dire straits with a pet that needs help, no one here judged me. If he had recovered, I think they would have been cheering right alongside me.

They do an amazing job of creating a calm and relaxing environment for both owner and fur kid. Dr. Kucia took time to examine my cat with care and made him feel at ease, I've never seen him so relaxed at the vet! She explained everything to me and made me feel at ease as well (I was having some pet mom guilt). Rachel and Dawn showed so much genuine care for my pet as well and I instantly knew we found our forever vet. I've already recommended them to every pet owner I know.

The said CT and surgery next step and may have to wait 2-4 days as they are busy. CT done and yup there is "something" there. Intravenous meds that should have been done first day and absess popped on it's own overnight while she was there. Out 5k for meds she should have been given on the first visit and scan was a waist of 2k. Then I call 4 times over 4 days once her 3 weeks of medicine is done, with no call back. A week later someone calls and asks how she is doing. She was supposed to get 6 weeks of meds but since no one called back I get "well it been a week, just keep an eye on her" I asked again if she was supposed to get 6 weeks of meds "yes but she's been off for a week" So they are 100% just in it for money and do not care about your pet. So now I guess I'll hope it doesn't come back as she didn't get the proper amount of antibiotics because of their carelessness. Staff was nice for the most part. Although I no longer qualify for low income services legally, their prices are still much lower and more affordable than most vet offices which makes being a stay at home mum still available to my family. They're thoughtful, thorough and very transparent. I live further away now, which makes transportation a little tricky, especially feeling quite uncomfortable in an uneasy part of town, but I still go out of my way to drive here for the best service you can imagine. They truly care about every inch and every aspect of keeping up with your pets health - and it truly shows. Five stars, every single time.
