They were able to repair my computer for a lot less than I anticipated and finished the project quickly. My computer is working great, and Gabe even sent me a follow up email 2 weeks after he fixed my computer to check in and see if everything was working well. I called and left a message detailing my problem. I received a call back from Gary an hour or two later, who said I could be having one of three possible problems. He came out Friday afternoon to look at the printer onsite. He decided it would be best to take the printer back to his shop to be dismantled so he could get a better look. Gary was able to find and fix the problem, and delivered my printer back to my office Monday afternoon. Gary was very responsive, and communicated with me along the process of diagnosing the issue. I immediately flipped the laptop over, shut it down, and left it upside down while I ran to the store for rubbing alcohol. I carefully wiped down the keyboard and called this place as soon as they reopened on the 26th. For context, Apple told me the computer would likely never work again and tried to sell me a new one. This shop was reassuring on the phone and accepted the drop-off right after the holiday break. The employee we spoke with (may have been the owner considering how competent and dedicated he was) was extremely kind at drop off. I had my computer back within 48 hours, before New Year's Eve, after a deep internal clean. They confirmed the cleaning was successful, that there was no risk of corrosion over time, and no expected shortening of the computer's lifespan. I paid under $100 and walked away with a perfectly functioning MacBook. Nearly two weeks later, there's no sign at all that anything was ever spilled. So grateful to everyone at Quick Fix!

I'm a repeat customer with 1st Techs. Reason? One, they make house calls at very reasonable…read morerates. Two, they're certified to service Sony Vaios (as well as Dell, Toshiba, HP, all the major PC brands). Three, they're nice guys that show up when they say they will. 1st Techs has replaced both the hard drive and the cooling fan on my much-loved and well-traveled Sony Vaio laptop. Both times they were on time, competent, friendly, and urged me to test out the repair on my laptop before they left: boot it up, check the wireless, open apps, browse to the internet. (Side note: replacing a cooling fan on a Vaio SZ laptop basically involves taking the whole thing apart. Watching the tech dismantle my laptop and carefully lay its guts out on my dining room table was an eye-opening experience.) This is a HUGE improvement over sending my laptop to Sony for six weeks with a minimum charge just to have them look at it. Super plus: while I was testing my newly repaired laptop, the repair guy was on the phone trying to help a client find creative ways to track down a stolen laptop. That's a service mentality. If you want nice repair guys that will make a house call to your home or business and do a good job at a fair price, call 1st Techs.
