Now closed but the gasthaus is still there. Worth the effort to go. The pizza is good as well. Lots of carry out for pizza. Lots of phone orders coming in. Traffic was light and service was good. The Pils was cold and good. Cold is relative here though since beer is just slightly cooler than room temp but it's brewed to be drank that way.

We had been in Germany over two weeks at this point and none of the meals we had up to this point really reminded us of those we remembered from when we lived in Germany. That's fine. Pallets change. Chefs like to experiment. It's all good. But this salad! This is the salad we remember. The mix of greens. The salad dressing. This folks is a German salad. Some people parked there and walked up. We drove all the way up to the castle and found parking on site.
