Kids plate
Alicia H.

This is one of our go to places for lunch. Good German food but can be a bit pricey. I usually get the grilled chicken salad but a small portion, because it is a huge salad. It also comes with a roll. This time I got a kids plate and it was the perfect portion! Overall, good food, and a nice open environment to sit down.

Honestly..... Ikea food is better. I don't know how you mess up German food IN Germany. Everything smelled and tasted of onions. Huge chunks of onions, even when asked to hold the onions. We added massive amounts of salt and pepper to anything with sauce. Oh and Scallions are still Onions. Go to Ikea. You'll find better Schnitzel.

Currywurst and potatoes.

I had a quick work related visit to Ramstein and was unable to check out many German food spots while here. I got a little hungry before I caught my airport shuttle so I decided to grab some Currywurst from this eatery located at the Ramstein AB Base Exchange Mall. I cannot compare it to any other German fare but it was ok. It was more of fast food joint where you order at the counter and wait for your food to be ready.

It's not the best food I've had, but not the worst either. The portions were a good size, and the atmosphere was welcoming. My husband said that the German beer he had was worth it.

Bratwurst meal with salad.

The bratwurst meal was really good and it came with a choice of salad, mashed potato or dumplings. I chose the salad and it was very tasty, the dressing seemed like they took Italian dressing and tweaked it to make it their own. It's a definitely something different from the normal food court, which is all fast food. They sell some beer and have giant mugs they serve it in if you're looking to have a beer. I went there fairly late and, despite being near closing time, the food still seemed like it was cooked up just for me!

Again, I was on travel and had a layover and was hungry and wanted a beer. I stopped in this place and got the Octoberfest special (yes, this was during Octoberfest) for around $13 and was very satisfied. A couple of sausages in broth with some Spätzle, a delicious mustard & a fresh Pretzel with an Octoberfest brew. If I ever pass through again I will try the Schnitzel in this place next. It was a little pricey but looked awesome!

This dessert was a dumpling with some sweet sauce. It was nothing what I was expecting, but absolutely delicious nonetheless.

4 stars because I wasn't a huge fan of my cheesy egg noodle entree but my dumpling with sweet sauce dessert was amazing. This place is located in the mall of the BX. Some people drink beer there and they have these humongous sized mugs they serve with beer if you are up to the challenge.

This was my first meal in Germany so I have nothing off base to compare to it. But I liked it! Good beer, good food and good prices.

Definitely recommend this place and will be coming back to try more things. randomly decided to…read morestop here after the other pizza spot we were going to seemed like the service was going to suck which was the best decision ever!! We walked in here it was quiet and all the food was yummy. The garlic bread and bruschetta are round like pizza and def filling and that's an appetizer so we were surprised about that because on top that we ordered pizzas and pasta. Everything we ate was so good I even forgot to take pictures when the pizza and pasta came out! We do next time!!! Great for family or dates or whatever

Been here a few times and haven't regretted it…read more The first two times I came, I got calzones and they were very good. Since, I have gotten pizza and enjoyed it each time. The atmosphere here is very nice for the area. The restaurant is tucked away on one of the edges of the villiage (Outside there is a popular large park and communal area). The workers here are hit or miss, but generally nice and accommodating although I have experienced a female worker being mean to her coworker for making a few errors. Ultimately the female worker's actions made a more negative impression than the male who made errors. All of that said, I have yet to try something from here that I do not like. I have only tried their pizza and calzones so far, but my friends tried schnitzel meals etc and claimed it to be satisfactory. The menu has good variety with pizza, pasta, schnitzel etc. I recommend you definitely come try this place out.

I never expected to eat the most delicious Greek food I've ever tasted in Germany, of all places!…read moreThis was my first meal after arriving in Europe, and the server went out of his way to make it special. The ambiance was spectacular with candlelight tables and relaxing music. I ordered the Farmer's Salad, but I was brought soup and bread with a delicious spread before dinner and a cinnamon sugar caramel fried dough dish after the main course for dessert. The salad was exceptional, of course, as were all of the other dishes served. The price was extremely reasonable given the quality of the meal and the top-notch service. 10/10 would come here again! Edit: They only take cash, so make sure to have some on hand when you come here. There is an ATM nearby if you need one, though.

We normally enjoy Greek, being from FL, and located Metaxa. From the outside appearance right through to the seating. Sat at a nice table by the window, they offer great appetizers but before even ordering they bring you grilled bread with a dipping sauce, a bowl of soup and a very flavorful salad, all at no charge. We ordered 3 different dinners and 3 drinks. Souvlaki, gyro platter and gyro "bake". All were great! Very plentiful. Upon finishing, we were delivered a homemade desert of deep fried dough balls drizzled with honey/chocolate and dobs of whip cream. Very tasty and again, at no charge!! Then Yanni, the owner, dropped by with free shots of ouzos, which he too had with us!!! Very great service and the personal touch of the owner is what makes a dining experience memorable and worth what you pay. All though we leave on the am, we will be back and for sure will go there a few times while visiting again. My son all ready plans on going back next weekend. Do yourself a solid and go check out Metaxa, you will be happy you did and for sure will have a great dining experience!!

I enjoy their chat and company. Their food was really good, though celery on bruschetta is new to me, still added a fun crunch and flavor. My pizza was perfect and no one with me complained about their meal. I am happy they made me a drink not on their menu, but to be fair there was 7 of us and two menus so I didn't know mojito wasn't on the menu. Was okay for a non menu drink. The only reason 3 for service was we were second party there and never really got served much. Drinks were not ordered much. Needed up having to do appetizer and meal at same time, the place is good as it is really busy. A little unorganized but I recommend trying it. One out party got chef's choice salmon lasagna and they crushed it. So it must be good. They also periodically get fresh muscles. (I am not a fan of any muscles) but my party crushed them. Recommend trying if near by.

-Not sure you'll find better Mexican food anywhere around here-…read more Just happened to be in the area and came by at the right time, because we are right before a big rush. Overall this place was great, pretty much all of the food tasted really good. We started with the chips and salsa and it was really good, the chips were light and crunchy, and the salsa was fresh with yummy flavor. 405 This burrito has such a lovely taste, one of the better burritos I have had in a very long time. I love lemon, and the lime flavored rice for this was just great! With guacamole sour cream and salsa, the flavors were exploding. SO FRIGGIN GOOD. Forgot the name of the burrito with two meats... Two meats, red sauce green sauce. Very large burrito and a good one. This one is dinner+lunch tomorrow. Personally I favor the 405, but this one was larger and also pretty tasty Chicken Quesadilla Straightforward, but really good. They worked the basics really well to make something normal taste good. Horchata Decent but I think it could be better. More cinnamon than I like, but I'll give it a try again next time. ------------------------ Pros -Very tasty Mexican food the way we like it. That 405 is bangin - Staff was nice and helpful - Environment has character and is good atmosphere Cons -Parking is weird -A little pricey -Come at the wrong time and the wait can be a bit crazy

There is a lot of grass space and some stuff for kids to play, this is a perfect family spot for sure. *CASH ONLY* and they do not have an ATM on the premisses so please make sure to bring some EURO cause they also o not take dollars here. I got some water as always I love me some sparkling water, but they also have spring water but it is not free, most places around here sell their water and do not provide tap water at all. as far as the for goes I got myself: STEAK RANCHEROS - I got it without the jalapeños cause I am not a huge fan of too much spice but it does come with it is not asked to take them off. the food was pretty good and the serving size was pretty nice too! they give you the choice of flour or corn tortillas as well and appreciated that as I am not a huge fan of flour tortillas. overall it is a nice spot with plenty calming areas and the food is pretty good. I wish they took card but they do not so this is an important detail to keep in mind for sure cause we did not have cash and we had a hard time after the meal. If you have the time try it out it is worth it.
