One of my favourite burgers this summer. Char grilled, and pretty good prices too. I got a triple patty cheese burger for 7.75. Not bad at all. Lots of parking and indoor and outdoor seating. They had a long line up but they had a good strategy to make the line move quickly. You'll see when you get there. Anyway I don't live near here so I don't see myself coming here often but if I am traveling through I am coming back for sure! read more

Webers - After sunset in September - Hot Dogs Near Me - Orillia, Ontario

I think there is a Webers at Pearson International Airport, and I believe that you can buy Webers burgers in some grocery stores, but the real Weber experience (which makes makes it garner the 5 stars) is its legend, location and vibe. Located on the north side of Highway 11 sits a burger joint that is MOBBED in the summer and from the looks of it, is about the coolest place for a junior to highschooler kid to work during the summer and perhaps spring months. you get the sense that it is a summer camp all on its own. though really they just make burgers. (and probably smoke doobies before, during and after work as part of the communion of it all.) If this is true (ha. if.) then there is no effect on the burgers or any other item on the menu. no negative effect at least. the burgers themselves are no great monument to meat, however, they are as tasty as the next good burger. they use "only the highest quality Canadian beef from only one personally approved supplier." now I'm sure you are not getting burgers that are eco-friendly and surely not organic, nor are you paying those prices either. but they have standard toppings, of mustard, relish, ketchup, onions. they serve a pretty good clam chowder and good fries and gravy. veggies dont fear there are burgers for you too. and beside the main grills is a place for ice cream too. the fun thing and what makes this a much better stopover on the road than mcd's is that this location has a huge piece of land behind it where people can really rest - on the grass, on picnic benches, in an actual salvaged train car that sits on their grounds. even your dogs can run around. they are INCREDIBLY efficient there. they know their lineups can get huge, so they have people whose jobs it is solely to come outside of the restaurant, take peoples orders, take their money and give them change on the spot - they anticipate the bills people will likely give. so by the time you are at the condiment section, your order is already placed and being grilled like everyone else's. it looks like mayhem in the kitchen which is in full view of everyone and part of their allure (see the video on their website). there must be at least 15 employees in quite a small place, all dressed in white, while a steady supply of phish, beach boys, grateful dead, etc, plays in the background. they have ketchupers, and mustarders, they have burger flippers that flip like fish swim - with lightening speed. they definitely got their groove on all the time. to close, the legend of this place, beyond its having been around since 1963 is that they became so popular that people who were travelling south on Highway 11 would stop their cars on their side, get out, and attempt a mad dash across a combined 4 laned highway (for you americans, freeway) to get a burger. hows that for demand. so supposedly the city of orillia made webers build a bridge over the highway SPECIFICALLY for that restaurant. there is now a parking lot on both sides of the highway and people from far and wide, across cottage country can rest assured nothing can impede them from the grand old Webers experience ever. read more

Sooo a few weekends back 13 others and myself trekked it up north (4 hours away) to a cottage in the middle of no where. When we arrived late Friday evening the people who arrived before us was talking about this place and how they were going to stop on the way down. Word on the street this place was suppose to be the best burger in Canada. Hummm light bulb went off in my head where I thought well if that's the case I need in. So sure enough on our trek back on Sunday we made a pit stop to eat here. The line up was out the door and the staff were very organized they walked up to us for us to place our order while still in line. Then then came back with the total and had pre estimated our change at that same point. We all paid while in line so there was no waiting and the line kept on moving. I couldn't believe how fast they got us in and out of the little shake. What I didn't like was the staff that was making the burgers weren't wearing gloves, they go from touching the toppings to touching the bottles to dispense the sauces and so forth. I didn't find that to be very sanitary. Next I found the burger to be quite thin, and small next to the huge bun it came in. I didn't feel the proportion of bun to meat ratio was met successfully. I also ordered a poutine and enjoyed it but hasn't been the best place I've tried. I found the environment to be quite interesting. I like how the seating was in an old school train and how the place looked more like an attraction the a highway pit stop. This place is also famous for building a bridge over the highway so everyone had access to enjoy their food. This place was worth the stop but not the best burger I've had... maybe next time i'll try their hot dog read more

It is always a great pleasure to stop at Webers for a nice little break on our drives up to Muskoka. The food is always consistent and the facilities are great for families and dogs to roam around and stretch the legs. It is a tradition and never fails to disappoint. Simple things done well and consistently. What more can you ask for? read more

We stopped on our way to the cottage....we were excited to try the garden burger .. site said it was vegetarian. Unfortunately, the pattie had cheese in it :( We were then just looking to have fries, but again met with sad news as the fries are cooked in beef tallow! No vegan options here, just plenty of fat and cholesterol! read more

A no nonsense burger joint. Small fry up area that efficient takes your order while you queue and ore assembles the packaging. I had a triple cheese burger as I was rather hungry but promptly realised it was a significant ingestion challenge. The burgers themselves are succulent and just the right amount of juice without becoming oily. Fries are well cooked and crispy. Unfortunately I made the error of buying poutine again, but that error shouldn't cloud my opinion on the establishment in general. Tip: get a single or double cheese burger. Second tip: you can park on either side of the highway. Final tip: despite the train style foghorn on the wall by the exit, pulling it causes most staff and all customers to jump in fright. read more

I love the burger buns. The burgers are good and fries are really good. This place would be perfect if they would give more options to add to the burgers like fried onions, eggs and pineapples. Yet to try the shakes read more

It's my first time at Weber's and I went in with no expectations whatsoever. It's the only burger place that I know of that has its own mini Roots store and pedestrian overpass to cater to vehicles going both northbound and southbound on highway 11. What I liked: i. Bathroom was surprisingly very nice and relatively clean and modern. Tasteful choice of tiles, plenty of soap in the dispensers and pretty clean! A+ ii. The train themed seating was pretty cool. There's also picnic tables out back if you prefer to sit outside. iii. Ordering is efficient, someone will take your order and payment in line. iv. Chocolate milkshake was pretty good! What was OK: i. The cheeseburger was average. There wasn't anything remarkable about the seasoning, the cheese wasn't really melted and the bun was plain. ii. The poutine had lots of unmelted cheese curds - the fries and gravy weren't hot enough to melt the cheese. It was also far too salty. Other notes: i. Cash only, there's an ATM available. ii. Lineup can be very long iii. kitchen staff don't wear hairnets Bottom Line: Thoroughly average burgers with train-themed seating and great washrooms. read more

I had better burgers than Weber's to be honest. And where's the lettuce?! But I found that the staff are pretty efficient in getting all those orders out in a timely manner. Side note though..they put the patties on the burger with their bare hands so let's just pray they have sanitize beforehand. read more

This place has very good food. The lineup is very long but it goes by in just a few minutes (3-5 minutes) due to around 50 burgers all being grilled at once. If you want something more after your delicious burger and amazing fries than you can go to the ice cream place with very short to no lines. There is parking right beside Webbers if you are going North and parking on the other side of the highway over a bridge if you are going south. Indoor and outdoor seating that is all train themed. Truly a Muskoka tradition, if you ever find yourself driving by I would highly recommend checking it out! 9 out of 10! read more

I don't get it. I drove past Webers countless times on my way to the cottage but avoided the temptation to go in. The massive lines didn't hold a lot of appeal and I'm not generally a huge fan of fast food. Finally, I was with a car of friends who wanted to go in and there was no lines. Our consensus... meh. It wan't anything more remarkable than another fast food I've had. I really don't get the huge lines and hype. It was cheap and effecient, I grant that but it isn't enough to have me go back. On the positive side, I thought the train cars were a great touch for 'dining in'. It added something for sure. read more

3 for the burgers, 5 for the experience. Masters of efficiency, so don't let the line discourage you. Grill "key man" has been working there for 51 years. Shake was good. Not really enough seats - people can't eat'em as fast as they can fill orders. read more

Webers is a must when traveling through the Muskoka region. Don't be afraid of the long line as you drive past, the staff is well organized, friendly, and you'll have your food before you know it. They only serve chocolate shakes in the food line. Those happen to be my favorite but I wasn't crazy about the chocolate flavoring at Webers. I'd just grab burgers their foot-long hot dog, both are great. read more

Love Weber's! The staple if you live in Ontario and frequent that highway when travelling. HOWEVER, I really don't understand a lot of their business practices. They make a point of publicly advertising the fact that they use 100% Canadian cheese from the Thornloe Cheese factory and that they sell ice cream from the Canadian Kawartha Dairy, but then they use condiments from the USA? Why use US ketchup when French's is Canadian and just as good as Heinz's. Also, they make a point of using recyclable products and had recycling bins everywhere but still use styrofoam cups which are horrible for the environment. If they changed these easily fixable things I definitely would've given them a 5! read more

Real char grilled burgers. They are simple straight up good burgers. If you're looking for one of those "burger bar" style burgers you will not find it here, which I think is lovely. Weber's is the only place I want a burger from, nothing else comes close for me. I even get mine plain, that's how nice the meat itself is. Long live Weber's!! read more

I've been going to this place constantly since I was 2 years old. The site of that orange CN bridge over Hwy 11 always gets me excited for Webbers. The burgers, the fries, the milkshakes, and the pickles are all to die for. My mouth is watering as I speak. The trains are a really cool touch too and the benches scattered along the property make for a nice summer meal outside. Once I had no cash on me, and after numerous attempts to withdraw cash from there crappy ATM, I asked for the manager. He came and saw the machine wasn't working. So he just bought me my dinner because I was the last customer for the night. Another reason why I keep coming back. read more

Webers brings me back to my youth driving up north and stopping in for a burger and fries. The burgers are charbroiled perfectly with simple toppings because that's all they need. Very organized and quick no matter how long the lines are. Must stop if you are driving up north to cottage country. Another great option here is buying a bucket of burgers and buns if your heading to the cottage or camping. Would have given five stars if my fries had been hot but understandable trying to keep up with the lines here. read more

Easily spotted with the orange overpass over Hwy 11. Over 40 picnic tables in a 4 acre yard for children and pets to stretch their legs: also features an old-style train diner car for patrons to use on rainy days. Simple menu (burgers, hotdogs, fries, poutine and garden burgers): nothing spectacular but decent for "fast food". Very quick efficient service. You stop for the experience, a must stop on any sunny day, and you accept that the meal isn't quite haute cuisine. read more

I don't get what all the hype was about. Yeah it's cool to sit and eat your food in a train, but the lineup is ridiculously long. It's good price, but you get what you paid for. Cheap cost, cheap taste. Wouldn't care to go again. Tastes no different than McDonalds. read more

Having increased the size of my order from a single cheeseburger to a double cheeseburger.... it is now the perfect size for me. I love this place. Stopped on way to cottage and way home from cottage. And I only noticed that massive sitting area they have in the zen park like area in the back. So nice. And the kids had a great time crossing the bridge over the highway. Always stopping at Weber's... always. I will purposely not eat breakfast at home, just so I can stop here. read more

I know friends who swear by weber's burgers and how good they are. I can understand that they might have grown up on going to their cottage and stopping by this place to eat. If you're coming here having to wait in all that 400 series traffic and you're hungry, you best get the double patty, because these thin slices of meat are looking like a step up from McDonald's. Some how we managed to eat here twice over the weekend and I learned my lesson by ordering a double the second time around. Everything is extremely fresh and the staff are very thorough when it comes to taking your order, paying and getting your food in the quickest possible way. A+ for the genuis that figured out how customer service works! All in all this is probably the best food spot on the way up to the Muskoka's, but has no match to some of the best burger's I've had around the world. Also, never buy thier frozen patties from any grocery stores, it's not even the same thing as what you get here! read more

Putting a rating on this place is like asking you to rank your children from favorite to least favorite.......it's just not possible. While the burgers aren't the best out there, I always make it a point to stop here when in the area. No matter the time of day (during the summer) there always seem to be people in line. It's like Mecca for the cottage-bound traveller. Their efficient ordering system cannot be beat. Someone comes up to you in-line, takes your order, places it, takes payment and by the time you reach the front your made-to-order burger is there. I've noticed that a local grocery store now sells "Weber" burgers...they're just not the same when you have to make them yourself, plus you miss the camaraderie you encounter with complete strangers as you wait in line. read more

Still awesome as ever. There's an ATM now in the ice cream shack. Which I don't remember seeing before. There's also a Frozen yogurt now. This restaurant should train other fast food franchises how to consistently offer a great mass product. My only complaint was my chocolate shake was a bit weak. Still it was still delicious. read more

An absolute must stop when passing by. Old time style and service. Amazing burgers and hot dogs and the fries are awesome. Even when lines are long it moves quickly. Burger quality: above Harvey's quality but similar taste Does not accept card transactions Staff do not properly tell you topping choices ended up with only ketchup on my burger which was improperly put together and thrown into bag. Terrific food and super fast service was served and eating in 10 minutes. Amazing food I will definitely be coming back its not even a question. Everyone needs to try this place for sure. read more

I visited Weber's for the first time in August. My friend and I were going to Muskoka for the weekend. I have always heard good things about Webers burgers and had high expectations for it being the best burger of my life. There was even an extremely long line of customers as well! The staff have a great system of getting people through, we were eating within 20mins. It should be noted that Weber's is cash only. I'm a huge fan of anything cooked on a charcoal BBQ but I was disappointed. My cheese burger tasted no different than a burger from Harvey's and I wasn't wowed by the fries either- and I loooooove potato anything. The washrooms were very clean and comfortable to use despite there being so many people getting food. read more

Webers - Our favorite place to stop! - Hot Dogs Near Me - Orillia, Ontario

Weber's is a family tradition place, the burgers are ok (would recommend veggie burgers even if you are not a vegetarian) but the convenience of the stop on your way to the cottage is what makes it worthwhile. Having a Weber's burger out in the sun near the train cars is a good experience. Cleanliness is excellent and the service is fast even with a long line. It should be noted that if the line is really long, this stop may not be worthwhile. read more

I don't understand the hype. The burgers were so average and the buns were not toasted and crumbly. The coca-cola was good. Plenty of seating space and line moved fast but poor quality beef and bun. Also had no bacon. Ketchup was okay. Meh - Won't come here again read more

We've been stopping at Webers for the last 30 years on the way to the cottage. Why? They have outdoor seating and dogs are not just welcome, they are encouraged. The owner is Paul Weber. We used to call the place "Pauls" . Paul was always around cleaning tables and saying hello. Back in the day before all the chain restaurants made there way up hwy 11, this spot was a rare find among hwy dives. The outdoor seating is made up of picnic tables spread over a rolling lawn among the trees. It can be a bit buggy in season as you'd expect. Weber's became a landmark along the route north because Paul loved trains, and Paul needed storage out on the hwy. Paul purchased 3 train cars as I recall, and had them mounted on rails behind the main restaurant. Our favorite car was the yellow caboose which we (back then) were allowed to climb all over. Dad would stand in the long line to place our order, mom would walk our dalmatian giving her a well needed break since getting in the car in Oakville. My brother and I would race to the caboose and eventually make our way to it's roof. Here we would walk around and yell down to mom and dad. The caboose was linked on the rails to another black baggage car which served as Paul's cold storage. I remember making the jump across the gap to that car from the caboose!! We did it all the time. We had a blast. As a father now in a changing world, I see that climbing on the trains is no longer permitted for my kids. Someone must have fallen, or maybe Paul's insurance company shut down the fun? It's a good thing I guess. We had had much fun at this free amusement park along hwy 11. I also remember the "key man". This was the main burger cook, and he used to wear a headband like a 70's basketball player, he worked the grill and 20-50 burgers like a piano. Even to this day the efficiency of controlled chaos is something to see. Working at Webers was also a privilege. I'm not sure if this still happens today, but Paul used to review grades of his employees, and maintaining your GPA was a requirement of work. As a result, the staff is a cut above the typical burned out High School kid. Weber's liine-up got even longer when Paul bought "the bridge". This glass covered walkway is a section Paul brought from CN Rail. It used to span the tracks at Union station connecting Front street to the CN tower. The gross orange color couldn't be missed. Paul erected this walkway to capture the southbound Hwy business. People used to try to make the dash across what was then only 4 lanes and no barrier. Even with the lower traffic volume of the 80's it was a sight to see as you can imagine. The City or Orillia didn't force Paul to erect the walkway as some speculate, Paul did it for purely economic reasons.(the safely factor was a secondary benefit.) The new southbound traffic doubled the insane lineup. The view of the approaching bridge now serves as a beacon to motorists each way to not miss the turn-off. The bridge, the line out the door down the parking lot, the column or BBQ smoke towering above all signal that something is happening here. Something so awesome that next time you'll be sure to stop and see whats going on. So this is how it went... Weber's grew into this Friday "event" that couldn't be missed. Guests arrived at the cottage asking "what was that place we passed?" and so the event grew, along with the lines. But here's the thing, notice how up till this point i haven't mentioned food? That's because is aint that great. Its just a hamburger. That it!!! There is nothing special about it. A plain burger. You can get a better burger in a hundred places in Toronto, and save the drive. But some people swear by this burger. A family on our lake is from San Fransisco. They actually book their flights to Toronto to allow for the drive to pass Webers during business hours! They often bolt from the cottage in the middle of holidays and drive the hour south for a mid-week burger. I just don't get it. Labatt flashed a picture of Webers in a beer commercial , instantly wrapping the joint in further cottage lore and making it "cool" to stop at Weber's. The lineup only got longer with "wannabes" trying to be cool. The true test was really when our dog passed away. We no longer stopped at Weber's. The food didn't draw us to keep stopping. Webers is now like Manns Chinese theater in Hollywood. Or Times Square in NYC. Its a tourist trap for wannabe people watchers. Real cottagers pass by to "get there" or stop are other spots with better food. The old muskoka people, the Hollywood set and the NHL'ers that own Muskoka property don't stop here any more. But if you wanna feel "beer commercial cool", and be seen by others, looking to be seen by others, this place is for you. I give the food 3 stars, the memories 5 stars, and the overblown experience and mystique today ZERO stars. Its just a burger people. Whoppie friggin-do. read more

Warning: cash only! Good, tasty burgers at a reasonable price. Line moved very fast, I thought I would be waiting a long time with the line out the door...nope. Been here 8 times in the past 4 years each time resulting in a off smelling burger and a severe case of vomiting and diarrhea the last 3 times, was willing to keep coming back because of old memories but it is no longer worth it, I suggest Health inspectors look into this place better in the storage if there meat as it seems to not be stored properly by the smell and taste read more

Delicious! Both the food and the wait-staff (of both genders) are pretty delicious. (Mostly clean cut and bright eyed and bushy tailed!) Menu options are simple: burgers with cheese, plain burgers, fries, hot dogs and poutine. Hamburger patties are thin, but cooked through. The buns are perfect clouds of fluffiness, supporting flavourful meat and condiments. The condiments are simple, ketchup, mustard, onions, a slice of pickle, tomatoes, diced onions (raw) and cheese (if ordering a cheeseburger, duh!). Drinks consist of pop and water (usually skipped in favour of having my own water bottle in the car...) Burgers are cooked right in front of you, and easily the most perfect start or end to your trip. Orders are simple and quick. You line up, get your order taken, and change back in a jiffy. Food is cooked to order (my aunt wanted just ketchup and tomato on hers and my mother and I had everything on our burgers). It's a pretty good system, and they need it to deal with the sheer volume of people they serve. The dining area is pretty nice. You have a choice of eating in the outdoors (kind of a picnic area with chairs and tables set up, quite nice if you like that kind of thing), or eating in a converted section of train! Washrooms are located in a different section of a train, and they are cramped and seriously not accessible. (But MUCH CLEANER than your standard highway rest stop standards.) The burgers themselves are always smokey and pretty juicy. My only complaint is that the single patty is not enough for a chubby chick like me. Do yourself a favour and order a double (2 hamburger patties!) and nom away! ** The poutine was disappointing. The fries are almost shoestring skinny and the gravy was like a liquid salt lick, and the whole concoction was not even warm to the touch. The only saving grace was that they used real squeaky mozzarella curds! *** This was my fifth time eating at Webers. It's usually a haunt for people heading out to cottage country and is a pretty good value and features clean and not skeevy looking bathrooms. read more

Don't fall for the hype. The burgers are lousy, factory produced, not a lot of love here. Very limited menu, makes it difficult making everyone happy.
