The free weight area is the perfect size to get your reps in while adding even more variety. Obviously, a traditional gym is not the focus here, so they don't have every machine. You still have what you need to get a good lift in though. The weather in Temple can be bad, which can mess up Bluetooth access and WiFi for classes. So, I joined, paid the fee and won the competition; however, in the middle of it they changed it to a 6 week challenge without notice to anyone. First red flag. When it came to the winnings, Ike the owner walked away and acted like there was no competition at all. One of the personal trainers tried talking to him saying that it was wrong and tried to do the right thing. Ike never addressed or honored the winnings at all. He took our money and kept it. Do NOT give your money to this company. I've also been told by several people that they've been charging random charges throughout the month without explanation and when they have tried to cancel they had to change their card number completely because they refused to honor the cancellation. This is not an honest company and very bad for business. They steal your money and don't think twice about it.

Along with this there's no air conditioning which is absolutely ridiculous since it's in Texas. It was 40 degrees today and all they had for heating is closing the doors. Now the good parts, the bench press has its own little lift off for you which is nice, the deadlift area has a bar that holds the bar your using so you can take weight off or put some on. Pickleball courts could be great is if the city or a private entity provides for maintenance. The nets need to be replaced with a good quality type. There are too many lights that are not working and makes play very hard at night and is a safety risk. This facility can very easily be a five-star rating if maintenance (city support) improves. The program keeps me motivated because it's a group of women all with similar goals and Shauna there to kick your butt. There are monthly health checks with Shauna to see how on track you are with your goals. The program has helped me feel more empowered and knowledgeable about using a gym and following a fitness program. I've lost weight, gained more muscle tone, and found a new confidence in a gym environment.

I felt pushed and I felt encouraged; I was getting weekly meal plans sent to me per our "contract" we were meeting at our scheduled times everything was great. However about two-three months in everything changed. It was as if I wasn't being taken as seriously because I wasn't going to compete. I stopped receiving meal plans, weigh in's stopped and the accountability that was there at the beginning wasn't there anymore.  Shauna had made it very clear when I first started personal training sessions with her that If I wanted to cancel a session I had to do so in 24 hours; if not I would lose my session. That is a common rule for most trainers, so I made sure that I did my best to cancel 24 hour ahead of time when I did need to cancel; I think I only gave less than 24 hours' notice one time in the approx 7 months I went. Shauna on the other hand canceled on me 7 times within a span of 3 months with barely any fair warning; many were either an hour or three hours before the session. Many times she would cancel on me on the spot when I had just drove all the way down to field house, however the last straw broke when she no showed on me two times within two weeks. I drove down to field house; waited for her to show and she never did. Only to be told via text that she forgot to text me; completely un-professional. She holds this standard of cancelling within 24 hours for her clients but I am PAYING HER and she can't even be professional enough to do the same. I was paying her for a service I was not receiving, she wasn't showing and I hadn't received a meal plan in months.  It was as if she just stopped caring about me as a client because she had other clients who were competing and bringing in money for her. I had emailed her and told her that I would like a refund because I couldn't continue to be cancelled on. She replied with "I am Not issuing you a refund I am sorry for any inconvenience. You are scheduled Friday at 1 pm we can do a make up Wednesday at 1". I emailed her multiple times to work things out however instead of replying back she went into my account and deleted PAID sessions from my account.  After multiple attempts to receive a refund from Shauna due to her lack of providing services I contacted the Better Business Bureau. She never responded and refused to cooperate with the investigation. I had hope that we could work this out and she would provide me a refund, honestly I thought when I sent her my request for refund she would be happy to refund me and get rid of me as a client; since I wasn't competing and she never took me seriously. Shauna currently has approx. $500 of mine that she won't refund, and has went in to my account and deleted paid session's.  Shauna is also very intense, which can be a great as a trainer if done properly except she comes off as a bully at times. I have personally heard her discount and talk about her clients negatively. She has pointed out people to me at the gym and talked destructively about them. She even brags about going up to people and shaming them in front of others; telling them they aren't ready for competition and that they have a long way to go. She creates an environment where you are on eggshells; always wondering what mood she would be in that day. When she would talk badly about others especially her own clients I knew that she had to be talking bad about me as well and that never sat well with me.  I do acknowledge that Shauna has done great things for other people, and her group classes are awesome. However I cannot support a business like this and will continue to share my experience with others.

I'd love to give this gym a higher rating because it's my gym. I want to take pride in it…read more Unfortunately, the owners don't seem to take pride in it and I'm not sure I can make up for that. My favorite thing about this place is that it is so rarely busy. I really enjoy being able to try out new equipment without feeling self-conscious, having my pick of equipment, etc. I was once bouncing back and forth between the abductor and adductor and someone wanted to use one of them, I told them I was happy to just finish on one and then come back to the other and they said they'd do their next machine and come back. That doesn't happen at busier gyms. It is a very co-op feeling space and I love the camaraderie. I also love that it is open 24-7. I think that also makes it feel more like the space of those using the gym. It's kind of like our gym and we all love it. However, the gym is grimy. The machines are old. They are squeaky, outdated, and don't operate the same way machines do at newer gyms. The free weight section leaves something to be desired - give us some barbells with weight already on them, etc. It's got a really solid apartment gym vibe. It has the essentials. Is it ever cleaned? I'm not sure. I wipe down my machines after I use them. I don't dust the windowsills and it doesn't seem anyone else does either. I'll keep using this gym because it's the only actual gym I've found in Belton. The price is fine if you have 2 people. It's great if you have a family. If it were just me, I would be very unhappy paying the monthly rate compared to chain gyms in Temple, but the location can't be beat because again, it's the only gym in Belton. Also, since they seem to really want everyone to feel ownership in this gym, I'd love for them to take down the "Biden Sucks" flag as working out shouldn't be politicized. There are a lot of people in Belton with a lot of different beliefs, and very, very few people are arguing about politics at the gym. Let it be a gym for everyone.

They refer you to the gym - they are closed!!!! Call the gym - no information. They refer you to your gyms page on the website - no use !! App - no use! Worthless. Worse is that this is a recurrent problem !! Shame, because the people working the location are great.
