Pretty solid range left alone for the most part. Solid service and good availability.

I have been a regular at this field for almost a year now, and until recently I would've…read morerecommended it as a five star field. The maps are expansive, with both close quarters and long distances to play at, and since it's so big you can play tons of different game modes, and put spawn points in all different places. Really fun. For the most part, players are nontoxic, and the atmosphere is friendly. Down in the shop, employees will helpfully explain the game, get you checked in, and you can either rent a gun, or browse their decent selection of replicas. Safety is a top priority, and refs take items like eyepro very seriously. All guns are chronographed and appropriate minimum distances given according to FPS. For all the nerds out there, they do measure in FPS and not joules, so joule creeping to higher energy is a thing, but I haven't yet seen players take unfair advantage of this. Most players run either stock guns or moderately upgraded, so most days you won't have to worry about anything over about 30 RPS. Aka, no "HPA BEATDOWN" videos. Contrary to many stereotypes propagated by popular content creators, the one YouTuber who regularly plays at this field is a great guy to play with, and his content is drama free. Now, on to why this is a three-star review for me. First let me say that I will not degrade any of the players or refs by posting specific names of people involved, as it's not my intent to malign these players whatever their behavior. Some of the regulars will occasionally ref on some days and play on others, which usually works out well. However, recently one of the "off duty refs" has acted in ways that seriously degraded the quality of the game for me. Per field rules, if you're under 20 feet of distance, you're supposed to say "bang bang!" for a kill. If there's question about who 'shot' first, offer a trade, where both players take the hit, or a parlay, where both players walk back towards spawn and stay in play. The game started as normal, and as we're playing, I approach a corner that I know a player is behind, then pop out and say "bang bang!". The other player contended that it should either be a trade or his kill, since he "knew I was going to peek and could've shot me". The player obviously knew I was there, and could've answered with his own "bang bang" when I popped out, but instead stayed silent and confused the situation, because the rules say nothing about being able to point at people and have them be out. The argument was calm, with no one yelling, and no one acting aggressively. I asked for the ref to clarify the situation, and despite the field rules, the conversation ended with the opposing player saying he would simply shoot me point blank if I tried to pull the same maneuver, and the ref going along with the situation. This player has bang-banged people many times before, and I have never played at this field before when any similar shenanigans were pulled. Intentionally shooting under 20 feet is grounds for banning, but both the current ref, and this player who occasionally refs, seemed okay with that. A few weeks later, the player with whom I had the argument was now reffing. In the safety and rules briefing, he announced that coming up on a player who has their replica raised and ready to fire will be counted as a trade or parlay, regardless of anyone saying "bang bang". Since the player was reffing, I have no issue with him setting the ground rules as he prefers. However, after the day ended and all other players had left (I was packing up still), he proceeded to sit down and tell me that I'm an ***hole, because I got into the argument with him while he was playing, along with a few other irrelevant items. My issue here is with a player who is not currently reffing being allowed to; Act like a ref Threaten to break the rules And, as ref, call players out for things that happened while the ref was playing Despite playing almost every week for the past eight months, I have not been back since. I love this field, but if this happens again I will probably have to try and find somewhere else to take my business.

When we arrived we met with Katy who was very polite and took care of all our needs. Katy was very informative and due to us arriving very late to the field she gave us a discount so our boys could still play. After having a great day of playing we had the pleasure of meeting the the owner Dave. Dave was was very nice to our group and even took us on a tour of his military museum. It was a fantastic walk into history. To some it all up, my son and I will gladly travel from Houston just to visit Temple Airsoft again. Cudos to the owner. You have put together a winning team.

When we got to BLORA we were the only players there so the kids could learn at their own pace. CONS: We rented the equipment that was not well maintained. The masks still had paint on the lenses. The guns either were malfunctioning or the air tanks weren't filled. All 3 bags of 500 paintballs which we each received had one or more broken balls and therefore paint on the surface of the paintballs which affected trajectory. The balls were also old and were resistant to breaking on target. One of the two workers/ referees had never played before and it was his first day on the job. I overlooked all of that, knowing my kids didn't know any better, and I guided them through a more thorough safety brief and basically refereed the 3 of us. PROs: The staff members were polite and at least one of the two were knowledgeable. It was not crowded. The multiple scenario fields were good. The paintballs didn't break in the guns. We did have a lot of fun and now my kids are hooked. It's a great place for a first timer. It's also a great place for small, private groups. VERDICT: For an uncrowded paintball field, serious Veteran players in a group will want to bring their own gear. I will continue to take my kids there until they outgrow the experience and either lose interest or are ready for a more competitive paintball experience but we'll consider getting our own gear.

My son and his friends have discovered that the short drive to Round Rock enables a much better and safe experience at a professionally run paintball business called "Outlaw" which is actually reasonable and cost effective. Upon arrival where it was quite evident you had to know someone to understand who and where to check in with. Once we checked in and had the rules explained to us, we drew our guns and paintballs. Nothing fancy and definitely not high powered, so I expected a fair game. We were divided up into 2 teams for the first round, roughly 10 people per team. That is manageable. First round went fine. Had a few speed ballers playing, but overall fair match and play. Went Round 2 in the woods and was expecting more of the same, but this time we ended up with teams of 14-16 on each side. Way too many and totally unmanageable by 1 referee. Towards the end of this match, I was hit in the back by a speedball shooter, so I got up to exit (holding my gun up and saying "I'm out"), nope to get peppered on my front by 4-6 more shots. I yell out that I'm already out, but the speed ballers keep shooting. In my anger, I popped one in the leg on my way out, and he peppered my back with between 25 and 30 rounds. Leaving welts and bruises across my entire back. When I pointed it out to the ref, he did nothing. I reported it to the manager, but got nothing really from him. I didn't ask that the guy get removed, which I probably should have done and I do understand that I shouldn't have shot the guy on my way past, but his response was totally uncalled for. And the reaction of all the staffers leads me to believe that they condone this behavior. So for those who are looking for paintball in this area, look somewhere else. I would say to read each of the negative reviews and take it at face value. I probably wouldn't have even reviewed them except for the poor behavior by the players, and I certainly wouldn't have booked with them if I'd have checked Yelp first. For the person who said this place wouldn't get another $ from him, I echo that comment and strongly discourage folks from going there if it is your first time or you are a novice at the sport.
