I mean, I guess some customers come in with their clothes already pinned and ready to be altered, but no, I'm not that organized. When she asked what heel height I would be wearing with them I told her about 2 inches. Well, she insisted that I did not need them to be altered, and I insisted that I did, especially with the wide leg cut, I felt like there was a level of back-and-forth that was unnecessary. This was very unusual for me in a place of business and I didn't know exactly where it was originating from and it's not something I can say I've experienced before to this degree.

I was able to try my pants on and the attendant pinned the pants to my specifications. 4 days later I was able to pick up my pants, which impressed me with such fast turnaround. It was only $15 for the hem, which is competitive (the cheapest I've paid was $7, but nowhere near Greenville, DE). Yesterday I dropped off a vintage Turkish kilim rug to be cleaned. They quoted just over a week's turnaround time, which I still didn't think was bad. We'll see how that goes and how much that runs me..
