Tried this place because the last place wanted $6 to launder one men's shirt. This place is $3.50 a shirt (prepaid), which is more in line with industry practice right now. Super nice clerks, no language barrier, had the shirts ready to go by the front counter when I arrived to pick them up. The person thanked me for trying the place and I told her we'd be back. Had them clean my wedding gown originally, service and price both stood out. I used to have my company take care of all my cleaning for free (employee perk), so I didn't know anytime about pricing. After getting quotes from a few local cleaners (including in Newark), I decided to go with them, right choice! Now I want to have them do all my dry cleaning. Tried this cleaners for the first time even though it's about a 20 minute drive. They were very polite and efficient. With out me saying the wrote down hangers and light startch for my shirts, which is exactly what I wanted and shirts were done when they said they would be. I have never had a bad experience here. I think the prices are reasonable, the staff is pretty sweet and the turn around time can be as fast as same day. They repair, alter, and taylor garments. It's a solid well run business. However, I kept one star in my pocket because I needed a zipper fixed on said pocket of a winter coat. Well the coat was a black puffy down with four pockets with silver zippers and a belt with a large silver buckle. You know where I'm going with this right? They fixed my pocket with a gold zipper. Dunrite Cleaners has been my go-to dry cleaner since I moved to Wilmington. They provide quick turn times, high-quality customer service, and excellent work on my clothes. My girlfriend and I always enjoy visiting and look forward to chatting with the owners. In fact, it's the high-quality customer service that brought me to their Yelp page during the current statewide shelter-in-place order. I haven't worn my suits enough since my last visit because I have been working from home. I wish there was some way to support this business until it is safe to resume normal life again. Each week for the last 6 or 7 months I have dropped off my work clothes for same day service at Dunrite Cleaners Wilmington, De.. Last week when I got there I was told no same day service available due to a boiler replacement . I was told that I could pick up my clothes the next day after 3pm. I agreed and left. The next day, I called mid day first to make sure my clothes would be ready. I was told it was taking longer than expected but they would be done around 3:30 or 4:00 pm. I said great. When I got there at about 3:40 pm , they said the boiler replacement was just completed.....my clothes were not done. Normally that would be fine. They told me boiler replacement is about an every 20 year event. My problem was that my work clothes have my company name and logo on them and that's what I must wear the next morning to work. Without the owner even knowing that, he said " We will drop your order off at your home on our way home after we close! " I could not believe my ears. I accepted his more than gracious offer. I wrote my address down for him and left. ( I live about 5 miles away from their business.) At 6:15 that night a van pulled up into my driveway. My clothes had arrived....SAME DAY!
