The office is in a brownstone it looks like an the waiting area was nice. The Receptionist had me fill out some forms then I was on my way with Dr. Grishina. She was very nice and asked me the general medical questions & history. Then she gave me an overall checkup. She drew blood, which I hate doing but she was gentle and I didn't feel a thing. After that she told me when I get my results back she will give me a call. Which she did not too long ago. It's hard to find a doctor these days you can feel comfortable with and who aren't pushy or rude. I really like her and I feel good knowing I have a place to go to if I have an issue.

I called in the middle of…read morecold and flu hysteria as a new patient, keeping my fingers crossed that they'd take me either today or tomorrow. Luckily, they were able to fit me in today (though Dr. Abdalla did say I got very lucky there because I guess that's not the norm). The front desk staff were pleasant, kind, and helpful and I only waited about 5 minutes after filling out my paperwork. The nurse who took me back was great. She was very nice and actually told me my information, rather than just writing it on the chart without saying anything (I hate when they do that). I waited maybe 5-10 minutes in the room before Dr. Abdalla came in. I loved her!! She had an excellent bedside manner. She was everything I would want a doctor to be. Warm, kind, interested, knowledgeable, thorough, and not in a rush. She actually apologized for talking too much as she was explaining some of the possible causes for my symptoms. In case you missed that, let me repeat it -- she was APOLOGIZING for taking her time and addressing my concerns! She asked me a lot of questions about the illness I went in for and also spent time going over a few other things that I had checked off on my paperwork as general complaints (which I was not expecting her to even look at today). SUCH a breath of fresh air after my last experience with another doctor at another practice. After a horrible experience with a local gyno (where she convinced me that I was depressed -I'm not, it's called PMS- and needed to be on happy pills), I've been a bit skeptical of docs. After reading Julia's review, however, I decided Dr. P sounded like my kinda woman, "someone I would love to have a beer with?" say no more. So I scheduled my appointment on Friday and they were able to put me in on Monday. I showed up at 3:30 (my assigned time), fearing I'd end up spending my entire afternoon there. Within 10 minutes I was seen by a nurse and within another 5 Dr. P showed up. She's just awesome. Totally conversational, quick to put you at ease, thorough... We talked about my medical history, she ran through a few exams, prescribed some medicine for my nagging cough, and sent me off for some blood work. I was out of the office by 4:15! I was lucky enough to be introduced to this studio by a friend. I had not done yoga since…read morepre-pandemic and had knee replacement surgery and was at the very beginner end of the spectrum. My first class was with Adriana, Yoga for Centering, and was hooked. The classes are more traditional yoga with movement linked to breath and a focus on the yoga philosophy. Fast forward 4 months, I am attending classes 2-3 days a week and am feeling the effects of the strength that I have built. I had a follow up to my knee surgery with the surgeon and he was blown away with the strength that I had built in my knee. My progress continues to be a journey but am so excited that I have found this studio. Adriana is very supportive and provides alternatives to poses to ensure that I do not re-injure myself. In addition, she offers a middle schooler class on Monday night that my 12yo loves to attend and is learning so much. I highly recommend this studio to anyone, at any level, to check out.
