I can't say enough GREAT things about our experiences with Weatherhead & Sons! We have had 2 projects completed in the past year and both projects were completed flawlessly. Professionalism, excellent customer service, excellent communication and excellent results with zero frustration. We had a siding project that included extreme water damage and wood rot - the repair was phenomenal and the results were like it had never occurred. And the best thing -- it was at an affordably fair price! The second project was shingle installation on the house and the garage. It was scheduled to meet our personal needs and was completed in only one day. Personal attention to each of these projects was given by the owner, Bryce Bishop. You just don't find many companies with personalized service anymore. Bryce communicated thoroughly regarding both projects. The first project (siding) he did himself. The second project (roofing) - he visited our property to make sure everything was thoroughly cleaned up according to his excellent standards and also to inspect the work that was completed. He even climbed up on the roof personally to inspect that the job was competed to his excellent standards and to make sure we were satisfied with the results and to see if we had any additional questions. If you want a stress-free experience with excellent communication and beautiful results, Weatherhead & Sons is the place to call to get the job done right! read more

Roofing: We received a great price . This business has been around for over 30 years with the same family, which gave us piece of mind. Will was great at explaining the process and with communication. The installers were here early actually and finished the job in the allotted time. They worked hard snd cleaned the area to our satisfaction after the roof was installed. I would recommend them for roofing or any project read more

We contacted Weatherhead and Son's to get some window's replaced. They told us up front that it would be about 3 months due to all the work they had. This would have put the time frame around late September. In the meantime they demanded the down payment right away and it was paid to them. September came and went and they had not contacted me. I placed several calls and they told me I would have to talk to Jake. After several calls Jake never called. October came and went as I tried contacting them again. It was the same story with the same result. Only when I demanded my down payment back that I got a call. He told me that the new time frame would be within the first two weeks of November. Well...Same story, same results. They are not calling me back and I fear that we are going into winter where the job cannot be done. I am to the point of calling the BBB as well as Kent County if I cannot get my down payment back. This is fraud if they insist on keeping my money for services never rendered. I am so through with them. read more

Weatherhead and Sons is one of the best home related companies I have worked with! We have used them for the occasional roof repairs over the years and they are responsive, reasonably priced and don't try to sell you a whole new roof when they come out. We recently had some storm damage that neccesitated a new roof, gutters, etc. They were VERY reasonably priced, ripped off two layers and put on a new roof in one day and clean up was meticulous. Brice and his team are the best! Thank you! read more

I asked this company to replace my 9 windows, as close to as is, as possible. They sent a guy who did not understand replacement windows and the windows that came in were approx two inches too much in depth and had wrong and inconsistent grid designs in my front windows. The measurement error would totally alter my interior window casings, as they cut into them to make room for the thicker depth. The installers told me the truth and the owner said they should not have told me that and they were no longer with him (I had stopped the install after they told me that someone had measured wrong). $8,000 in legal fees, they kept fighting. They would give me back less than 1/2 my deposit and the wrong windows if I would not talk. I lost $15,000 in order to tell you the truth. I decided the truth was more important. I would caution you about dealing with Weatherhead. I expected, from Weatherhead, a great neighborhood experience, but Andy, the owner, would not stand up when an employee made a measurement mistake on an expensive job, nor would he stand up and deal with the crazy grid design inconsistency. He wanted me to just take them, no matter the impact on my window sills or exterior design and home value. The legal fees going through the roof, I dropped it, but did not give up my right to tell you the truth. Be careful, folks! (West Michigan Roofing is now handling my job and they know how to measure and order the right replacement windows). read more

Promised to fix wood trim on house where it was damaged and they replied that it wasn't necessary but would follow through and look at it- never returned. Now we have leaks and also leaks around the chimney where they improperly sealed with caulk . If you saw the fashion they caulked our $1/2 million house, you would be surprised ! Get in quick , get paid, forget about us. read more

Called Weatherhead and sons because our cat was somehow able to get into our attic from outside. Specifically chose this company because reviewers spoke about the contractor checking the attic and being thorough. The employee we had (Ryan) said he could check attic but never did. Said roof looked okay for now. However, I absolutely needed the attic checked as there is no way for cat to get in there unless there is a hole somewhere...and if cat can get in I'm assuming raccoons, bats, squirrels, etc can also get in and do some major destruction. I was not at home during the roof check (husband was) and was relying on contractor to do a complete and thorough check. Husband said Ryan gave pretty vague answers about every question he asked. At the end of the day, I needed the attic checked (I would think you could easily see light coming through any openings in a dark attic) to confirm that my home was not going to become a hotel for wildlife and this was not done. read more

Had a very difficult time dealing with this company and was in no way satisfied. I was attempting to do my own roofing because my family is in difficult times right now and affording a contractor was difficult after looking at their prices. After starting my roof I had a building inspector come down and issue me a fine for not going through all the right paperwork and permits. I had seen the weather heads truck drive by earlier that day and decided to give them a call about doing my roof "The right way"." It was not until after they started work and a ridiculous amount of money that I found out that THEY were likely the ones that actually called the building inspector on my family! So thank you for all the extra stress, money struggles and not even doing a great job on the roof! I will NEVER call these people again! read more
