My husband and I stopped in here for dinner and some beers last month while we were in town hiking at New River Gorge with our dogs. We sat outside at the picnic tables so we could watch the Pacers game without our phone being too loud on the back patio and annoying other guests and to let the dogs chew on some bones and have plenty of room to sprawl out. We split a pizza and cheese curds and each had a side salad. The salads were HUGE and super fresh, we both loved them and it was a nice balance to the pizza and cheese curds. The pizza was thin and crispy and just what we wanted after a long day on trails. And you can never go wrong with cheese curds (it was also a huge portion). We each LOVED our beers! I had a sour gose and my husband had an IPA. We only did a couple of beers there because it was cold outside and we didn't want to stay super late, but I would go back here in a heartbeat. We were going to stop in and buy some canned beers to take back to Indy with us before we left town, but ended up not being able to because they are closed on Tuesdays. I hope to see them at Total Wine & More or as a guest tap at another brewery one day so we can have them again. read more

Really enjoyed going to Weathered Ground for a pre wedding event for our friends. They have a great outdoor area and solid food and drinks. I was pleasantly surprised that they had a sour beer option. Service was as good as you could hope for with how incredibly busy they were. Ordering an app and pizza took a good 45 min to get but thankfully we were just hanging out enjoying our friends so it wasn't too big of a deal. read more

We were here on a Sunday afternoon while traveling. They had been busy the prior days and were out of much of the food on the menu therefore we did not eat. The building is spacious and clean.Great selection of house brewed beers. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating , dog friendly. Great stop on the way home from vacationing. Late lunch/early dinner. The queso and chips were really good. We got 12 Buffalo wings and they were hot and crispy (without any unnecessary breading), the sauce and dip was on the side, which was a great way to keep them crisp. We also got two pizzas, the Buffalo chicken pizza was really good, but if they made it with some blue cheese crumbles, it would take it over the top. The pepperoni and veggie pizza was good, but the sauce needs some work, still good. Now for the beer-I tried four different brews in a flight, which as a visitor, just stopping by, is something I always recommend! They were all good for different reasons! They were even nice enough to fill up my howler to take some home, since the Bearer of Fruit wasn't in cans yet! I wanted a place to stop after we checked out of our cabin at Four Fillies Lodge and this was the one that opened up early enough. So we were one of the first customers. It's a nice place and reminds me of the many breweries near me in Loudoun County. I liked the chill ambiance but the service was a little sterile. We sat outside on a cute little patio and enjoyed the air and views. The music selection was also enjoyable and got me & my son discussing different genres. The prices were really good for what we got except the cider for $13 threw me off but I guess that's the market and it came from the can. I'm not a huge beer person but I like what I tasted especially the lighter ales and the sours. Highly recommend and I would definitely go back, maybe at night to see the fire pit. read more

My wife and I were in the area so we decided to take a small detour and check this place out. I thought it was supposed to be a micro type brewery, but it is large and on a large part of land. There is good parking area as well as indoor and outdoor seating. The day we went the list of beers were primarily IPAs and sour stuff so not really in our wheelhouse. We tried a few but the beers were not what i usually like. I would definitely go back, but i would check what is on tap first before making the trip. read more

We stumbled upon this gem near our campsite during a recent trip to West Virginia. The brewery is beautiful and spacious! It sits in a huge open field and has a large backyard with a stage for live music events. They also have a shaded patio and plenty of space inside. All of the beer we tried was delicious. I especially loved the seasonal cherry ale they had. The bartender was friendly and knowledgeable about the beer as well. We didn't eat during our visit, but the pizzas looked really good. Great midway stop for anyone driving through WV!! The beer selection is vast and changes often. I really enjoyed the smoothie sour and my husband is still raving about their tiramisu beer. I highly recommend bringing the family out here if you are looking for a relaxed weekend lunch! And don't forget to get some Mac and cheese bites cause those didn't last very long at all. My boyfriend and I came here to spend a couple of hours during our weekend visit to West Virginia. We really liked the vibe of this brewery! They hold a lot of events here, including yoga and brunch events which we walked in on the end of. I got a Rose flavored hard cider from Swilled Dog, which I was pleasantly surprised to find was local to West Virginia! I like sweet drinks so that's the main reason I got it, and it definitely fulfilled my expectations. My boyfriend got a beer on tap - the Tallahatchie IPA. He really liked it as well! They do have food available here. When we went, there was a table set up for a catering company, selling Puerto Rican chicken and beans and the usual bar food like cheese fries and cheeseburgers. read more

We went around 4:30 on a Saturday and it was surprisingly not too busy for how nice of a place it is. The pizza and ranch was very good and the beer flight was reasonably priced. Everything about this place was great! Casual atmosphere, excellent, fast service, and delicious food! We had pizza and wings which were exceptional. Both were fresh. The wings were flavorful and juicy without being greasy. The pizza was delicious - homemade crust and the perfect blend of cheese, toppings, and sauce, again without being greasy. Great vibe here. Close to I77. Tasty beer selection and reasonably priced food but boy do they need table service! I suppose it was due to the Saturday night time of our visit but long center line to order at first, then if you want another or just to tab out your bill, another long wait. I'm sure a lot of folks give up and go elsewhere. Live music outside, and lots of little kids which I found to be unusual but not objectionable. came in with my sister, mom and my son. my son and I ordered 2 pizzas. After waiting for almost an hour (and seeing people who came in AFTER us get their pizzas), I went and asked for a refund. Miraculously, when the woman went to check, the pizzas were ready. When asked why people who ordered after us got their pizza before us, we got an explanation that they can only cook 3 pizzas at a time. Now, common sense would say that you cook the pizzas in the order they were ordered but apparently that doesn't apply at the place. Very disappointing because this was recommended. read more

We decided to skip tamarack for our lunch stop and opted instead for weathered ground. So happy we did! We got there when it opened on Saturday on our way to the Carolinas. Lost Creek lager was delicious, but Goodness Gracious IPA was my favorite. they have a wide range of styles; everything from lagers, to sours, to stouts. the also do small batches, so be sure to try those limited beers out too! great atmosphere and great beer! can't wait to come back. read more

We live only 5 minutes from WGB and finally decided to try it out. We were terribly disappointed in our evening. First impression, it was overcrowded with barely enough seating for the amount of people inside. There were young kids running around, some had no shoes on, and there were toys strewn all over one corner of the building. It seemed like we were in somebody's home, rather than a business/bar. The live music they had was way too loud; you couldn't even hear the person next to you talking. Also, the food truck ran out of propane so we ended up waiting a good while for food that wasn't what we expected. We understood that the food truck wasn't apart of the WGB staff but it still gave us a reason to leave. To top it all off, they don't have any kind of service staff and if they do they weren't doing their jobs that night. When we finally managed to find a table, it was covered in empty glasses and used napkins that WE had to clear off. It just wasn't what we were hoping for after all the hype. read more
