I bought these windows awhile ago when they had a lifetime warranty. They have always been very hard to close but the guys that came out said the windows would loosen up. What a pile of BS. They have gotten impossible to close. One window is stuck open an inch and all of the others won't close enough to lock. I paid megabucks for them and they have had to replace about 6 out of 10. The warranty is only for the window so I've had to pay for the labor. I also bought fishscale siding from them which was just as bad but it is the terrible workmanship that is the problem with the siding. One piece of siding that came off had only one nail in the whole 10 foot section. read more

Oh where to begin. We had quite a bit of work done by Weather Tight this year - and for the most part we have been happy with it. Going to break down my review in a couple parts based on work done. We have an unusual bay window, needed a new garage window, a new door and a storm door as well as new gutters. Here's the breakdown: 1) our sales rep was pretty good, he was responsive. Typical sales guy, but he was helpful and I'd definitely call him again. I feel like a good contact at a company like this is important to have. 2) the Bay Window: we have an ENORMOUS, and atypical bay window. We had several people look at it and many of them didn't want to mess with it. Weather Tight took it on, and the window installers were PHENOMENAL. They were clean, respectful, asked us to look at work at different phases, and did a great job. The only thing I didn't like was that they do not do drywall finishing - and I had to do that myself (I did know this beforehand). Our old window was in rough shape, and was not insulated - this new window makes a huge difference. I don't LOVE the new bench they put in, it isn't as high quality as the oak they took out - but materials aren't made the same anymore either so they get a break for that. 5/5 for bay window install, and the quality of the window which is the most important here. 3) Front door and storm door: the thermatru front door I ordered is GORGEOUS. I splurged on a really great door - it was delivered early, and im really happy with it. The installer was great, did a really nice job. The storm door is just okay. I thought it would be higher quality. The door handle is wrong (not the one I ordered) and the screen doesn't roll correctly all the time. It looks nice, and the install was great. 5/5 for the door installer and the main front door. 4) the garage window: a basic sliding garage window replacement - easy install. They did a nice job & it was a huge upgrade given our old one was rotted through. 5/5. 5) Gutters: well, here is where things go down hill. After having a great experience ordering the windows and doors, I called my sales rep back to order gutters. I figured I'd just add this on, because I liked their service and warranty so far. The ordering was really straight forward but the cost was absurd. way over priced, but I figured there is something to be said about giving my business to a company who does a nice job. The app they have you use for photos of your house was just ok - I'm a tech person and it was weird & hard to use. I ordered gutters with covers on top. The day the installers came - it was wet, snowy and cold out, and they said it was a 1 day job. They showed up in the morning, and literally did nothing but remove my old gutters. They were smoking weed in the work truck, and generally dinking around outside my home until lunch, when they just packed up and left. They left a huge mess, I mean metal and screws EVERYWHERE and didn't tell us anything (we thought they went to eat and would come back!). We have two dogs and couldn't let them out - we had to walk them to another place to go to the bathroom because it was quite dangerous out in the yard for them. We had no gutters at all overnight. I did call my sales rep, the office for info, and got nothing. The snow on our roof preceded to melt - while our home at no gutters on it! Super. So now our yard is EXTRA muddy. The next morning - we hadn't heard anything from the company on installers - they showed up late. Not before I called the office and left messages. Eventually they started work, hanging the gutters and were super sloppy. They hung the gutters over some removable 3M light hangers (they were under the old ones, new gutters are bigger) and didn't even bother to ask if they should just take them off? They left a huge mess, popped nails out of my roof (didn't replace), and destroyed my lawn. They left holes from the old gutters in my siding and didn't inform me that I'd have to do this repair. They didn't even bother putting wood down to protect my lawn. They didn't clean up the broken gutter hangers or the screws. This crew seemed lazy and didn't care at all about my house or property. A manager (i think) showed up at some point, and they ended the job that day. That guy kind of got everyone's butts in gear. The only great thing here is weathertight sent us a Steins GC to replace the lawn damage. We had to replace our roof too, but chose a different company due to the bar gutter experience. All in all, would definitely recommend weathertight for windows and doors - not for gutters. The window/door guys were awesome & did a great job! read more

We just had all of the windows replaced in our home. The entire experience with WeatherTight was wonderful. From meeting with salesman, Ryan Burke, the entire process from ordering to installation. Weather Tight keeps you informed of the status of your project so you always know what is going on. The installation was done on time and the two installers, Jacob and Lucas, were wonderful to deal with. Both were perfect gentlemen and respected our home as if it were their own. The quality of their installation work was beyond reproach. Every thing they did showed that they were both true craftsmen. At the end of each day (3 days) the area they worked in were actually cleaner than when they started. After the installation was completed Jacob pointed out to me a very small imperfection on one of the trim parts (I would have never noticed it myself) and stated that he had already contacted the Weather Tight office and a replacement had been ordered. The day following the installation I received a call from a Weather Tight representative asking if we were happy with the new windows and the installation. I assured her we were and she confirmed that the trim piece had been ordered and they would contact me to arrange an installation date that would meet my schedule. There are alot of companies out there are trying to sell you windows with all kind of gimmicks to get you to buy from them. WeathervTight had the best gimmick of all. A quality product at a fair price and installation done by true craftsmen that take pride in their work. read more

Every time I get something doe one there's always a problem with install of something's case I point had roof done looks good. Sunroof domes leaked like bad thay put old one down with bad gaskets. I called the excuse was we are working on it 9 months had to replace cook top because of rain I called a few time the excuse was we are working on it. I called someone else they came and fixed the problems with new roof done. Weather tight has gone down hill. They will never do another project for me again total replacement of roof was 60 grand total tear off, and had to play the game with them. Requested a quote from a competing company last year regarding replacement of gutters, but they unfortunately dropped the ball in working with us to get the work scheduled (never responded to emails, etc). Waited until the weather was nicer, and requested a quote from Weather Tight. The sales rep warned us jokingly before giving us the estimate to prepare ourselves that his number would be 2x whatever we were thinking. I was thinking of the quote from the other company.... Yeah....Weather Tight's quote was 2.5x higher than the previous company's quote even AFTER he applied $2k+ in discounts to our quote. Note that the $2k discount also ONLY applied if we immediately agreed and put money down today. Incredibly unabashedly inflated pricing, and high-pressure sales tactics (sorry, not sorry - saying we can only get the savings if we agree on the spot and put money down today IS high-pressure sales - a good company would understand a married couple needs time to discuss (or hell maybe get 1 more quote) and would honor any offered discounts for the next few days/until the end of the week). You want an immediate answer without allowing us time to even discuss privately, our only option is going to be to say no. Not that we'd ever say yes to the price given to us, but on principle: you need to allow people time to discuss and make a decision without the sales rep there. read more

We contacted Weather Tight in early 2017 looking for a total tear-off and new roof. We were given an estimate window of 4:30ish in early February which I thought was odd because most of the roofers we had to our home wanted to come during the day, and definitely well before dusk, to see how our current roof looked. The two gentlemen came to our home, much as I imagined, as it was starting to get dark. They came in to give us the sales pitch as the sun was setting. There was a lot of talking and while I don't mind some small talk and getting to know someone, when time and sunlight is of the essence, it seemed strange. At one point I looked at the main salesman and asked if they were going to take a look at our roof and he looks out our windows and says "Well it's pretty dark." You think.... The two gentlemen went outside with their iPhone flashlights on and tried to get a good idea of the shape of our roof. Then they came in and went into our attic to examine some more. At this point they had been with us for about an hour and a half and we had plans with my folks that night which I repeatedly mentioned. They sat back down at our table and took out a computer with a lengthy powerpoint at which point I asked how much longer this would take. The main salesman acted astonished that on a Monday evening I may have something else to do (maybe eat dinner?) and said there was a lot to go over still. At that point my husband stepped in and asked for the estimate and some literature about their products. We were given a nicely printed folder of information and were informed that the main salesman would be on vacation the next week but he would get it to us as soon as he got back. My husband called and followed up about three times for that estimate but never heard back. Then we got another 2-3 calls asking if we had made a decision about the proposal (from some man in their office) that we never received. My husband told that man during each call we hadn't received the estimate and he also promised it. I have to say this was by the far the strangest service call I've had from any home improvement company and we've had numerous people stop out as we bought a fixer-upper. My husband jokes that come spring when we get our annual Weather Tight sales pitch at our door that he'll ask where his estimate is even though we've long since put a new roof on and were very pleased with that company. read more

Way too sales focused! Over an hour of listening to a sales pitch which included everything from the sales guy acting like getting multiple estimates was a waste of time, to a high pressure close. Yes, Weathertight, simply asking a potential customer to commit on the spot, without giving the couple time to talk privately, is a high pressure sales tatic. This was the exact company I needed to speak with to insure that the company I was thinking of hiring for my new roof wasn't the highest bid. Weathertight's price on a new roof was as much as DOUBLE compared to my other estimates. They were even higher than the one quote I got that included replacing all my roof decking. Weathertight's did not include this work. After all this all I got was a price shown to me on a computer screen. Nothing was listed in detail as far as work to be performed and materials to be used. Literally just an incredibly inflated number, followed by a bunch of discounts, that ultimately still lead to the most expensive bid I've seen yet BY FAR (as mentioned above). And yes, I was even told they use subcontractors. This was also the only roofing contractor I spoke with that asked me to commit on the spot. I will say though I did expect this kind of a sales approach. When setting up the estimate the lady on the phone was adamant about making sure it was at a time when both my wife and I were home. Which really was just inconvenient as I'm home all day, and when she gets home from a long day of work the last thing she wants to do is listen to drawn out sales pitch. She wants to eat dinner... she's eating for two. This could have easily been done during the day. I will say, I legitimately feel bad for the sales guy. He was a really nice guy. He just has to perform at his job in a way that rubs people the wrong way. read more

We had many of the usual "slick salesman" out to the house (ugh) and found Weathertight's approach to be much more friendly and non-pushy! Thanks for that Weathertight. After 3 yrs of having all the windows in our house replaced at 15,000 cost they still charged us a 85. Service call fee to come look at a window which was covered in black mold due to the window not having any insulation put in when they put the window in! You could feel the cold air pour through the cracks of the moldings and yet the service tech never pulled the moulding to check it out. He instead blamed it on a vent being closed. It wasn't until I pulled the moldings off when painting the window this spring that I noticed that there was NO insulation around the window where there should have been. You could literally see outside light come in to the room around the jamb of window plus there was a 1" void all around the window space. Not to mention that the drywall under neath the window has now become detached due to the moisture which I had to screw back to the studs as well as re spackle around the entire window due to the crappy way it was left unfinished. I have placed several calls and showed photos to Eric Folsom at weathertight and he has yet returned my calls. There is a service apt set for September and will update this ad then . For now I am not happy that they did this shoddy work and then charged a service fee too this is unethical business practice. I also am preparing a bill for the labor and materials I purchased to finish their work on this window which was not installed properly . Update : Eric came to the house and explained the situation re the window . The windows were installed properly,insulated, caulked, the existing gap was a result of shoddy workmanship from when the house was constructed and was not included in the initial estimate of replacing the windows Only and not replacing the interior jambs or moldings. The salesman over-sold the gutter system product by a moonshot. They promised one day installation but it took 6 months. Installers cancelled or didn't show 5 times. One time the installers left the job site mid-job without installing the down spouts. This caused water damage in the basement. Once the product was installed, we continued to have issues. The manager kept telling us that we will be charged extra for services that our sales rep sold to us in the contract. For the astronomic price we paid for our gutters, we expected a solid gold gutter system that could relieve all our worries. Unfortunately just the opposite happened. The product is cheap and flimsy. We have to call to have the system fixed all the time. Also this system causes icicles to form on your house. This is the first winter, and we have a TON of icicles. Apparently this is a known issue that gutter system companies hide in the fine print of their contracts. Which seems extremely deceptive. I think it looks awful, is dangerous, detracts away from curb appeal, and decreases property value because it appears that I don't insulate my house. Weather Tight is the company that did ours and I would like to warn all prospective gutter system buyers about this issue. When you talk to their customer support staff they treat you like Time Warner Cable support. Just horrendous. Please read all the one star reviews on here and on Google. I never go out of my way to review companies, but I really feel I must warn people about how this company decides to do business and how they decide to treat their customers. read more

A close friend was raving about how happy she was with her decision to go with Weather Tight, their quality, the warranty, and the Todd& Tod videos.  She told me about how they won integrity awards and about the A+ rating with the BBB. My friends' constant praise made me give Weather Tight another look. Once I did, I saw online weather tight did offer a black-on-black window. Looking back, that should have been a red flag that black windows are not something this company regularly does.  The other red flag I blew past was I decided after only seeing a small signal hung black window for two minutes, knowing I wasn't purchasing the type of window. Matt (the sales guy) and I sat down and drew up the contract. He was pushing triple pane windows. I thought we currently have double-pane windows, and the house is airtight with low energy bills. I caved and agreed to the triple pane windows thinking the nose reduction for the guest room would be worth it. Weather Tights' quote was higher than Renewal by Andersen & Pella, but I thought you get what you pay for! To recap, we were getting triple pane, black-on-black windows installed with a lifetime transferable warranty from a company that stands behind their work. Fast forward nine months later to the install; by now, I have watched numerous videos on how to install a window properly and what to look for when someone is installing windows.  I AM READY! Out the gate, the guy tells me, "we don't have black molding strips. I will have to put in a service request to have someone come back out later and replace these grey strips." We are talking about the largest window in the center of my house; you can say a focal point. I okayed it because once again, I AM READY for my windows! The guy tells me that two of the large windows don't open properly, and he is putting in a service request for them. They are installing 13 windows and allotted four days for a ranch-style home. Initially, I thought this was an excessive amount of time for a simple job and rationalized it as they would make my house airtight and noisy-free. NOT! I noticed that Robert, the lead installer came every day @ 07:00 and wouldn't leave until 4 pm even though he stopped working at 2 pm when his helper Chris left. Robert would clean up the site and play in his truck until it was 4 pm, at which time he would come in and tell me he was done and would return the next day. At the time, I thought nothing of Robert playing in his truck or his helper leaving early every day; after all, it wasn't my business, oh, but it was my business. I was paying him to sit and play in his truck; it was how they justified the exorbitant install price time spent on site. Robert told me I would get three surveys at the completion, one to rate him, the process, and another on how happy I was overall. I only received one, which I thought was rating Robert only, not the overall job satisfaction.  If you look on their website, you will see a review for "MICKENS," which I gave Robert a good rating. I know you are wondering why did I give him a good rating? At the time,  I thought this was an older man who did his best with what they gave him. It's one month after the installation four windows have air leaks that you can feel cold air when standing in front of them, you can hear the road noise clearly from all the windows and, I have not received one call regarding the service requests Robert put in for with no scheduled dates. The quality of the windows is not there. I paid $28,600 for thirteen windows. At that price point,  no one would imagine that you'd have to stick something in one of the corners from the outside to get the screens out of the windows. To summarize, I have black windows with grey molding and brown hardware. Oh yeah, they don't have black hardware available to match black windows, so you either have to pay $50 per piece extra for bush-nickel or get brown until the manufactures can make some black hardware. I get why this company wanted to sell black windows; the allure of the potential money is very enticing. Black windows are hot, and you should expect to pay $5,000 to $10,000 additional on your average window quotes. The problem here is Weather Tight sold me the dream of a supermodel but put lipstick on a pig and gave it to me. I now wish I would have gone with my first gut decision, which was Pella; they have stood the test of time and are well established in the Black-Framed window game. Now I'm stuck with inferior quality windows that every time I look out of them, the poor, expensive choice I made during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic is all I see. read more

We talked to Weather Tight at the State Fair. I thought they were high pressured there, but decided to meet with them because I saw some positive reviews on them. I guess I didn't read enough of them. I have never sat through a more insulting sales presentation. It was absolutely demeaning. After 2 hours, my husband had to go to bed. The salesman had the nerve to say he had to end the appointment since we both had to be present. Hmmm - sounds like a time share presentation, right? After that night, I read more of the reviews and found many that reflected our experience. From what I have now learned, it turns out that they pressure you to make a decision on the spot. I was honest from the beginning that I wanted information because we weren't even sure we were going to do our windows. I guess I can thank my husband for having to go to bed before we ever got to the money part. I don't understand. If you have a good product, why do you have to stoop to slimy sales tactics. When they called back, I was very direct with my feedback. They keep calling me. So far we haven't answered, but I guess I will and tell them to leave us alone. I had a new front door to my home installed on my home about 7 years ago from this Weather tight company. Ever since, my outer storm door has never fit right again, letting bugs and wind in, as the installer had to remove the storm door to put in aluminum trim in the door frame and reinstall the storm door as well as put in the new inner door. They sent some one to my home twice after complaining about it within the first year, trying to correct and seal it. The repair man they sent out both times said there was nothing further he could do. So this winter I complained to the company again, telling them the repairman they sent was incompetent. A woman at their place got onto the phone and rudely and loudly told me they would send another repairman out to my home to fix it for $ 250.00 this time. They charged me $ 3,500. for this new inner door, and I would expect better service from them. Please beware this company ! read more

However the woman who telephoned me talked so fast almost thought she sure did not have any interest in a job. I am paying for the re roofing on a home I live in with my daughter who owns the home. They would not meet with only me and said if they had to then meet with my daughter at another time there may be additional charge for that. Well, you know this conversation was very disappointed and I sure will not tell anyone else to call them. I will turn off all their commercials now. I live in an area where the homes are all going to need roofing in the near future. I already have 3 estimates and all of the young men who came to talk with me were very nice. Hard to decide. I have one regret, not getting other estimates first. I agree with other posts. High pressure sales are a shit way to get business. I called Weather Tight first, in order to get the "Deep" discount I had to decide right then and there or give the salesman money I order to get that discount. I was told on the phone that the estimate is good for a year. The salesman gave me a cost of 9000 for my project. Then he applied discounts and got the cost down to 7000. He could only hold the cost of the estimate at 7k if I put $200 down. Given that we are in the middle of a national crisis and my pockets aren't deep enough to hand over an unexpected cost of $200. I'm committed to this project. I have a ton of equity in my home. I'll gladly give another company my money. Weather Tight, you failed. read more

I am ashamed of you Weather Tight Milwaukee. I recently was quoted $2,970.00 for you to replace my front entry door. One day later, Austin calls me and asks how I appreciated the offer. I said I didn't because it was too high, but their sales person was friendly, on time and professional. Two days later I received a very pressing phone call from Austin claiming that Tod has a deep interest in our situation and wants to save us money and it is his prerogative to meet with recently quoted clients and save them money. I agreed to have Tod come out. The day of, I decided no again, upon calling to cancel, I was immediately forwarded to this loser Austin again who essentially promised me Tod. I agreed. So, a guy name Justin comes out to my house, and I'm like "where's Tod.." and Justine didn't know what was going on. Justin proceeded to write another offer, this time it was higher than the initial one promised to us by Andy. Way to go Weather Tight. You have honestly lost a customer outta me b/c if you're so quick to lie like this here, I can only imagine what happens once the door goes up. ("oh we see you hinges need some hinge juice, that's about $50, we'll just tack that onto your quote",etc...) Worst yet is the waste of time. That's a total of 1.5 hrs of time I sat with your sales people simply to learn that you lie. I am sickened at your organization's complete lack of professionalism and I feel sorry for all the clients you've screwed over the past years. read more

They were a no call no show for estimate appointment. Chose them based on commercial as seemed hometown and caring. Very deceiving. Forgot to check yelp. Big mistake. We already were skeptical based on the phone call to set up the estimate appointment. The lady who answered the phone was very airheaded. Asked the same questions and said the same things many times. We needed the estimate because all of our windows were recalled and we needed to submit the estimate so the company could send them a check to get the windows replaced. The call was more like a call for a timeshare. So many questions. They said we both needed to be home, kept asking if we have other appointments that would keep us from the appointment which is odd but we made it for yesterday, Saturday. My husband is disabled, our dog just had surgery, and this was the first weekend I had off in a month. I didn't want to get up early but we needed to get this done. We got up super early so we could get all the dogs down to the basement living room and clear out the areas around the windows for them. We waited and waited and they were a no show, no call. We don't live in an expensive neighborhood but a nice one on the southeast side not that that should matter to them as people from all over need window work. We did not call them after waiting 2 hours to ask where they were because that is very bad service and we were already skeptical and had a bad vibe about the company based on our initial phone call to set up the appt. it would have been an easy sell for them. read more

I feel scammed. This company charged much more than the job should have cost, but since I needed to finance the job, I went with them. I should have let the roof collapse, instead. The salesman pushed the job hard, and forgot to mention that the contract was a fixed price, after hinting that less than the 25% replacement for roof decking they padded the bill with might not have to get done. 2 months of waiting and delays later, a local contractor did the work. I have finally finished picking nails and shingles out of the yard. In July. The job was "done" in March, when temperatures were too cold (According to the manufacturer) to install the membrane. The manager insisted it was fine, and that the roof would flatten when the sun warmed it up. Still rippled. In July. The fascia took 2 attempts to fix, and the soffit vents they installed were slapped on as an afterthought, hole sawed and screwed to the soffit with gaps and holes around them. I fully expect my attic to be a giant wasp nest by now. After 4 tries and 2 management visits, they finally fulfilled the main points of the contract. I told them not to bother trying to clean up after the 4th try, as I wanted them off my property. Use a local roofing crew, and buy better materials. We had our patio door put in 3 years ago by weathertight. The sales person was good and explained everything well. The installer was on time and professional. He did a great job. We are very pleased with the quality and performance of our patio door. I like the fact that once your a customer of theirs. Looking to replace 6 windows on our house. Had 4 different companies (they are all claiming to be the best) come in and give us estimate. Weather tight happen to be the first one and most expensive one by far. They wanted over 8K for 6 windows. Sales person was really nice but way too sales focused. We did not go with them. They dont have or show you price list, they just pull random number out of computer, it seems like. read more

Waited a long time for fire door installation. After telling the office person I was going to place a complaint on the internet regarding no date for installation yet one of owners called and told me they were going to install within 2 weeks. I was told by the salesperson when I ordered the door that weather tight did not use subcontractors. When the installer showed up at my house with his own car and trailer I asked if he was a subcontractor and he said yes. I wasn't happy. He forgot the trim pieces and another installer had to drop them off at my house. He installed the wrong hardware and when I pointed it out to him he said you are right. The door wasn't installed correctly and to keep the door closed the installer told me to use the second lock to keep the door closed. I spoke with Eric at weather tight about these 2 issues he told me they would order the correct hardware and take a look at the install. I have been waiting over a month and still no word from weather tight that my hardware is in or someone is going to correctly install my door. I entered this company's home makeover sweepstakes after seeing their giveaway on the morning news. Big mistake. This company will not stop harassing me. They call all hours of the day and night and frequently trying to schedule a home visit. I do not want their services, never have. I wish I could take back that sweepstakes entry. This place operates on a similar business platform as skeezy timeshare companies. If you give them your personal info, you will never get rid of them. read more

I recently had Weather Tight replace the roof on my home and detached garage. If you are looking for a quality experience with a team of people who know what they are doing, then Weather Tight is that team. Just the whole experience was top of the line. From the sales call, the final measurements, the scheduling team, the roofing team ( who tore off a double roof on the house and worked really hard to get it done by end of day when the rain started again) the gutter team - just a bunch of really good people. They came when they said they would. They did what they said they would. They cleaned up the yard. They made things effortless for me. Just took the job and got it done. The young lady who showed up qouted us over $13,000 for two doors with storms, and a garage entry. While our mouths were hanging open she told us that it was our lucky day because they were having a sale which brought the price down to slightly over $11,000. We had already told her that because we were having windows installed in a few weeks we wouldn't be able to put any money down for eight weeks. We were told the discounts wouldn't be there in eight weeks, and we had to sign now to get them, once she left it would be too late. The next day we met with Allis Industries, LOVED their products and warranties, low pressure sales pitch and a guarantee that our quote was good for a year! $8000 and that INCLUDES a small patio roof over the front entry! Two days later we get a call from Weathertight asking why we didn't sign, we tell them the price was too high without the discounts, and he tells us that he will now offer the discount again if we commit? Why not just hold a quote for a few months, instead of playing games with high pressure sales tactics? The good thing is that their game playing led us to a company we feel much, much more confident in. read more
