When it comes to messing with gas in my home I have a no hands policy. I called Green Tech to schedule an appointment and left a VM around 6:15. At 6:45 I got a call back. The tech was calling me from his mobile while driving into the office. He literally walked me through what I had to do. "Have you ever lit a gas BBQ? Same concept." Did as he instructed and BAM, we are back in business. Green Tech could have come out and charged me an hourly, which I was willing to pay for, but instead taught an old man a new skill. This is not the first time they have walked me through an issue, hence why I call them for anything plumbing related. Can't recommend Green Tech enough.

I've found it increasingly difficult to find service companies that are knowledgeable in their field, responsive, honest and provide excellent customer service. Not only did Green Tech Plumbing check all these boxes, but they also offer fair pricing. A unicorn of a business. After being overcharged and underwhelmed by our previous plumber, I was on the hunt for a capable plumber to install a whole house water filtration system. From the moment I reached out to Green Tech Plumbing, they were nothing but responsive and helpful. I purchased the filtration system from a vendor, yet Kevin willingly answered all my questions (promptly!) about the system. He even pointed out that one of the options had expensive filters that would need to be changed frequently saving me hundreds of dollars in filters. What a gem! Kevin came out to look at how the system could be installed in our space and talked to me through how the system would work and answered all my questions. He then provided a fair quote. Once our system was delivered, I emailed to set up the installation. His team came out the following week for the installation. The tech Kevin sent was just as helpful! He moved the 100-pound tank from the garage to the basement, which wasn't part of their scope. The tech had to make a run to the hardware store to buy connection pieces that weren't included with system, but he knew exactly what to buy and did so in a timely manner. The install was speedy and flawless. The tech was even willing to stay while I called the vendor's water filtration system customer service expert to walk us through the start up process. On top of this great experience, I wrote a check for the incorrect amount and Kevin responded right away saying he would swing by and drop a check in our mailbox for the overpayment. Unreal! This is how you run a company!

I felt very well taken care of through the entire process and would like to shout out Danny who was here for over eight hours troubleshooting and solving the issues with my toilet and sink (services I had done include repairing a completely destroyed collar under my toilet, resealing the toilet, installing a new disposal, installing a new faucet and grit trap, and redoing the plumbing joints for both the toilet and the sink.) The price also includes a warranty in case something breaks again, which offers peace of mind, and the company was diligent with working things out with my building to get me scheduled. So at the end of the day, I do think I paid a premium price but I got the quality of service and peace of mind to match, rather than gambling on a cheaper service (again, I keep thinking about how it was an 8 plus hour job and Danny was working the entire time beyond quick breaks to move his vehicle/retrieve tools). He also seemed to care about not tracking mud around the home while he was doing the work. When I got our regular plumbers in here, they mostly confirmed what he'd told me. The only reason this is not a five-star review is because I had to reach out to them twice to get a copy of the bill and because our regular plumbers told me there *is* in fact a way to install a backup to the ejector pump. While they seem to offer "emergency services", the best they said they could do is book an appointment for me the next day. While waiting for the booking, they tried to upsell me for some sort of monthly service of some sort, I think for $29.99 a month. That should have been my warning to go elsewhere but I needed help and it was the weekend. Passed on the service but agreed to their "booking fee", warning number 2. They gave me no timeframe for when the technician would arrive so I asked if they could they try to get me in the morning if possible. I told them I don't mind how early. They said they would put a note in the system and would contact me in the morning. No call or text in the morning from them.,,,, Big surprise. So I call them to see where I was on the schedule around 8:30am. They told me that unfortunately all of their folks that day are out on emergency calls (wait, I thought I was an emergency booking from the prior day) and that unfortunately I won't get service until the afternoon. Ok, there goes pretty much all of father's day but I guess it isn't their fault this happened with unfortunate timing. Noon arrives I get a text message as a courtesy saying I was still on the schedule, and they would keep me informed. Ok, that is good news, maybe I am next or at least coming up on the list soon. Sometime a bit after 2pm I get a call, I am thinking awesome, they are probably informing me that they are on their way. But nope, I am now being told that they can't make it at all and basically letting me know I wasted the entire day waiting for nothing. But of course, they are happy to help me Monday. No, sorry J Blanton Plumbing, NEVER EVER will I use you. Perhaps you did be a favor because based on other reviews I just read here and elsewhere I now I know that you not only do not value your customers enough to treat them with common courtesy and try to upsell before you even provide services but also it appears you price gouge as well. No, I am done with you guys and happy to tell my story to inform others. Yelp, can I give less than 1 star? This place deserves it.

A few years ago, when ours unexpectedly went out, they were like a SWAT team. They arrived quickly, cleaned everything up, and had a new water heater installed in no time. This morning, I took a very cold shower, which was not how I wanted to start my day. We discovered the pilot light had gone out. My husband tried resetting it without success, so he called them. They asked him to send a few pictures, immediately diagnosed the issue, and texted him a short video showing exactly how to reset it. A few minutes later, we had hot water again. That's what great companies do. They're prepared, they know their craft inside and out, and they make solving problems look easy. If you need a water heater, I honestly wouldn't call anyone else. Upon inspection, I discovered that the water heater was not functioning, as there was no hot water available in the unit. To address this issue, I contacted the RHEEM customer service number displayed on the water heater. A technician promptly returned my call and attempted to guide me through various troubleshooting steps to reignite the unit; however, these efforts proved unsuccessful. The technician ultimately suggested that a specific component had likely malfunctioned and provided me with a list of certified Rheem technicians in the Chicago area. Unfortunately, the Rheem technician I reached out to from that list did not respond to my inquiries. I have had great luck with businesses on Yelp that received a large number of favorable reviews over a long period of time. For that reason, I decided to contact Fast Plumbing 247. I was fortunate to speak with a plumber named Mac, who returned my call within a matter of minutes. He requested that I send him photographs of the water heater's model number and the unit itself. After reviewing the images, Matt promptly called me back and provided clear, step-by-step instructions on how to restore the water heater to working order. Remarkably, his guidance proved effective, and I was able to resolve the issue. Once again, the unit has hot water. What truly stood out during my interaction with Mac was not only his willingness to share his technical knowledge but also his remarkable patience. I struggle with even simple tasks of this nature, and Mac's calm demeanor made the process significantly easier. He meticulously explained how to remove the guard to access the pilot light window, advised me on the best positioning to view this awkwardly placed window, and guided me through the steps to relight the pilot light and restore the water heater's functionality. Thanks to Matt's expertise, I am able to enjoy the holiday weekend without further complications. Based on this experience with Mac, it is evident that the plumbers at Fast Plumbing 247 are not only responsive and technically skilled but also honest in their dealings. I fully intend to rely on their services for any future plumbing needs and wholeheartedly recommend this company to others.
