We actually had her first birthday party here when it was formerly known as Rock the Spectrum, and the owner and staff were phenomenal to work with. They made everything so easy and were incredibly kind and accommodating. Recently, it was super windy over Memorial Day weekend and my daughter has really bad allergies, so taking her to the park wasn't an option. We were so thankful they were open because she was able to come explore, play, and have so much fun. It ended up being the perfect place for her to still enjoy herself. When I called I was informed it was now The Happy Hive. The gal who answered was wonderful, she told me about open play, bring grippy socks, and offered directions. This location was not Waze friendly, Waze took me a roundabout route but it's essentially in the same parking lot as Sylvia's Country Kitchen, an Antioch staple. Across the way from Sylvia's you will see a yellow banner for The Happy Hive. When I arrived I was greeted immediately and welcomed. Since it was our first time I had to sign a waiver. Unfortunately my son lives in crocs, which means I had no grippy socks. Luckily they had them for purchase under $5. Shoes and personal items were stowed into a cubby. My son excitedly yelled "I'm so excited!" When he saw the place. We entered and my son just ran around from exciting area to the next. There's a large play floor. But another rooms to the sides set up with different themes. There also an imaginative play set up in another area as well as a craft section. What impressed me the most was how nice the staff was. If you've already signed a waiver at another location you will on still have to sign another here. The location itself is pretty small compared to the Fairfield location, it's half the size. My son still enjoyed himself but will not return to this location.

While the character performer and assistant arrived about 15 minutes late without prior notification (I had to reach out for a status update), the situation was handled thoughtfully. Thankfully, the martial arts studio hosting the party graciously stayed open beyond our reserved timeframe, and the Zyland team extended their time with us to make up for the delay. They even incorporated a martial arts demonstration into the performance, which made the experience especially entertaining and memorable for the children. During the 30-minute visit, the kids danced with Sonic while bubbles filled the room, took photos, and watched Sonic break a board using his "super Sonic powers," which the children absolutely loved. We would have enjoyed a bit more enthusiasm and energy from Sonic during the dancing portions, but overall the kids had an amazing time and left smiling and excited.
