Replacing our back steps…read more The wooden steps that came with our house when we bought it were marginal at best and that was nearly 25 years ago. We had a rickety rail on one side that was removed when we had the sliding glass back door replaced. I've included the before pictures of what we had. Scary, aren't they? In less than two days, Francisco removed the old ones and replaced them with new steps with solid heavy-duty railings. The new steps, with their shorter risers, are much safer and easier for the less steady among us. One of the most gratifying things was how well Francisco listened when we explained what we needed an turned it into a reality. Husband said that the steps were exactly what he was thinking. Our new steps are solid, well-built, and really very nice. Thank you, Coho Contracting and Francisco!!!!

BNC Hammer did such an amazing job with our interior that we had to go with them for our exterior!…read moreOur 50's home had lead paint, which they expertly remedied and took serious (lead paint certified). They then painted the exterior of the home, painted the front and back patio, and painted and installed a new front door. The quality of work is outstanding! We were extremely satisfied and happy with the way they were able to transform our house. They went above and beyond as well, fixing things along the way that were not even on the quote (fixing our sagging exterior fence doors, random trim around the house that needed replacing, getting rid of random unused cables attached to home, installing a new security camera, and doing some masonry work on a big brick planter we have). Communication is constant and they'll fill you in on progress without hesitation. Extremely great value for the quality of work they do. You really can't do better than BNC Hammer for your construction and painting needs.

Randy Berger made my shed dreams come true…read more He was super easy to work with, very collaborative and builds a damn solid shed. He took my ridiculously crude sketches and created a preliminary design that I could revise. Then we added a portico. He let me save a bit of money by buying my own windows and door from Rebuild. Then he incorporated some corrugated metal I picked up to use as an ersatz side for the portico.(or "carport" if you'd rather). The end result is a much larger shed than I'd have gotten from a kit purchased for what I paid for construction and material, and a shed where I got to pick interesting windows and make a portico as opposed to looking just like every other shed from kit A-20733. Another reviewer was frustrated with the lack of response he got and I can echo that somewhat. There were a couple of periods where I felt in limbo but once I got a date for construction everything came together beautifully. Warning: it's both a blessing and a curse that for pretty much any idea you have to modify the design, he can figure out a way to make that work. It's not always expensive, but it's rarely free. Eventually a drawbridge, clock tower and fireplace adds up. Oh and we did our own painting but I think that's because I was being cheap. But that was an option that saved a bit of money (so I got his and hers built-in spice racks!).
