At least some of the Chinese workers here have limited English, which affected my experience for…read morethe worse. However, the massage cubicle was clean and neat. I choose a 60-minute full body massage for $65 + $4.55 in New Jersey tax. My masseuse Annie spoke limited English, but was a good masseuse. When she led me to the massage cubicle, she said, "Take off" and indicated where I should lie down and put my head on the massage table. She left, and I undressed but left my shorts on, and I got underneath a thin blanket on the table. When Annie returned (she asked "Ready?" before she entered the cubicle) she took the blanket off of me and had me lie down on top of it and then put a different blanket on top of me (this was the beginning of the poor communication between us). Annie began with a deep tissue massage, and after a short time I said, "Softer." But she made it so soft that she simply traced little patterns on my back with her fingertips with hardly any pressure at all. After a while, I realized this was not a part of a particular technique, so I said, "Harder." Eventually, Annie massaged me with the Swedish-type pressure I prefer, and I told her that this pressure was good. But at some point, Annie went back to very hard pressure again, so I said "Softer" and she did the fingertip thing again. Also, at times I thought she was pressing too hard on bony areas. The business has a large poster at the entrance that mentions about half a dozen different massage therapies that are available, including "Swedish." I probably should have told Annie that I wanted "Swedish." Maybe she would have understood that better than "Softer," but I am not sure. Annie kept the blanket on me for the front body massage and did my legs, arms, and hands. But she also unexpectedly pushed down hard against the side of my knees, which was uncomfortable. It was difficult to rate this massage. Annie had very strong hands, so she can give a good deep tissue massage. When she found the middle ground of pressure (the "Swedish" style pressure), she was very good. I did get the full 60 minutes in this massage (Annie had a timer of some sort set, but I only heard it when it went off at 60 minutes). However, the lack of clear communication made this massage less than enjoyable. In fact, the few aches and pains I had when I went in became worse (especially the left side of my neck) after the massage because perhaps I waited too long to say "Softer." Annie did her best with her limited English skills, and she worked hard, so I gave her a very good tip (she is trying to earn a living, after all). But the company needs to help its workers improve their English, at least a little, to ensure clients get the best massage the therapists can give. I give Annie 3 stars for her skills. My overall rating is also based on the communication difficulties that resulted in me getting a less satisfactory massage than I believe Annie is capable of. I would go back only if I were sure the therapist would give me a Swedish pressure throughout the massage. Since that is not a certainly, I would not go back if I am ever in this area again.

Go there with your imagination and if you can (Advanced tip) do some study about the fragrance notes you enjoy in your products. Their helpful staff will guide you to an aesthetic nirvana. What can I say, I'm a LUSH. Most of the time I satiate myself with elegant and excellent cuisine, but when it comes to SPA DAY, Lush is my go-to (since Kiehl's quintupled their prices). I still remember my spa days in Scottsdale when I get a whiff of eucalyptus. Wet hot towels soaked in eucalyptus oil fragranced the spa and made a fragrance memory. Lush takes me right back there! QUAKERBRIDGE MALL You can find them along the long middle row of stores, just before the big escalator area up to the food court. Just follow your nose! MMMMMmmmmm! CREATE YOUR OWN SPA DAY Bath Bombs. Oh my, where do i start, see below. The hot water of a drawn bath, then drop your bombs! If you've got jacuzzi jets, add some bubble bar for frothy fun. Soap bars or bath gel and a loofa to exfoliate and rejuvenate! Creams and lotions to hydrate and protect. The Massage Bars make for a delightful finish, especially if you have a spa partner! Tip: Put some towels down before you start. [Looking for Spa Nirvana on your own? Check out the Spa Suites at the Philadelphia Kimpton Palomar, and take your basket from Lush Quakerbridge, or stop at Lush around the corner from the hotel in case you forgot something] LAVENDER My favorites are STARLIGHT bath bomb, mixed with DEEP SLEEP (don't untie the ribbon, or you'll have quite a mess to clean up). The THERAPY massage bar (just a little dab goes a long way! Or put lots of towels down before you start) Then the SLEEPY bubble bar, and shower gel, and oh, the lotion! They even have a body spray. Lavender Heaven! BERGAMOT AND DEEP DARK NOTES My favorites are LORD OF MISRULE fine fragrance (body wash is seasonal in fall and expected mid-September this year, 2021), and the delightful KARMA, just now available in body wash. FIXED THE PIN I was going to post my photo of the new KARMA body wash, and discovered that their GPS pin put them somewhere in rural Pennsylvania, so very glad to correct this and bring them back to Quakerbridge Mall.

I had planned to spend some Christmas cash. I made the mistake of sampling a cream improperly, while the sales person watched. She did not stop me. She had been the sales person who initially greeted me, and never disclosed the store's procedure. I apologized, and she took the opportunity to nag about the mistake, how I SHOULD know better, etc., to the point where I felt it best to simply leave the store. Why create a scene in the store and make customers uncomfortable? Best to tell my friends before they also plan to spend their cash, and reach an even wider audience via Yelp.

What I Got: Color S129 | Gel Manicure $20 | Previous Gel Removal $10 | Total = $30…read more . I decided to get my nails done here after my friend told me she loved her experience here. So I came in on a Saturday afternoon around 12pm and everyone greeted me. It was fairly empty but became crowded after 12:30pm. I was seated immediately. . The first part of my nails were done by a male who is a bit more muscular than the other male employees (I don't remember his name). He simply removed my gel polish with acetone and let them soak in foil for a few minutes. . The second part of my nails were done by a female. She is older than the other females working there and has a rounder face and very nice white teeth lol (didn't catch her name). But she was very nice and kind. Another lady helped me pick out my gel nail color. They showed me this booklet with about 50 different shades which I loved because a lot of places don't have a wide variety. My nail tech complimented my nails and we made small talk which was nice. She was very precise and gentle with my hands. She gave me a nice 20 second hand massage after with lotion. . I will definitely come back! It is actually pretty inexpensive to me considering that I also had my gel polished removed by them as well.
