She was able to get us in within the hour. We went for an all over cryo session along with a local session. When we got there we were greeted by Sylvia, and went through the check in process. You are given recovery flip flops to put on, and directed to the locker room where you change into a robe. From there, we went over to the cryo chamber. She explained the process thoroughly. For someone who hates being cold, I was a little scared to do this. The temperature goes down to -120 - -240 F. You are in the chamber for 3 minutes. It goes relatively fast. But it feels so invigorating when you are done. She then explained all the other services the center provides. After she explains them all you want to do all of them! The local cryo session was about 12 minutes. While I was waiting to go, we were able to wait in the Salt room, that is decorated with hanging swing chairs and a lounger. It was relaxing to wait in there until my session. The local cryo session I had on my face and scalp. The temperature did not feel as cold as the chamber but was very relaxing. This was my first time trying a 'salt room'. I went in with an open mind, and over the years have…read moretried a number of alternative therapies. On this one, I can't say I'm convinced it does anything. Sure, the overall space is nice and 'zen'. The salt room itself, very 'pretty' with all the various white/ivory/peach/pink/coral/orange shades of the salt walls. The feeling of salt crystals under your bare feet? Nice. Relaxing chairs to sit in. But at the end of the 30 minute session, did I feel anything special beyond the fact that I just 'relaxed' in a pretty room for 30 minutes? No. Note that the salt room can also hold up to three clients at a time, which means they have the potential to charge up to $87 for three people, for just a 30-minute period. That's $174 per hour for a room that's filled with salt. Where no personal or hands-on service is provided...just clients 'sitting' in a room. I guess they also disperse 'saline aerosol' into the room while you are sitting in there. I'm not exactly sure what that is, or how it's supposed to be beneficial to you but then it begs the question...is it the saline aerosol that benefits you and/or some type of 'energy' that is supposed to come from the salt itself in the room? I don't know...I just have to wonder if this salt room thing is nothing more than an (unproved) trend that they are going to milk for all it's worth, until the next wellness trend comes along. When I first arrived and was eventually directed to the room, even though they knew it was my first time there, I was given no real direction or expectation...just told to go on in the room. (Typically you'd expect some type of introductory language...'we pipe saline aerosol into the room...this provides XYZ, etc'). I also found it odd that at the end of the 30-minute session, the woman working the desk simply came to the room and opened the door without warning. No knock, no 'bell' to let me know the session was over...just her, suddenly opening the door. (Typically at personal service places like that, they would knock on the door first, or ask if it's ok to enter, and especially considering I was in the room all alone, i.e., maybe I was in the middle of taking a weird selfie when she just opened the door?) Maybe next time I'll give the infrared sauna a try and see how that goes...but as for the salt room and just sitting in there, I don't think I'd spend my money on that again. It so happens that at the time, I was starting to feel quite sick with a bad cold. Other reviews here seemed to suggest they felt 'relief' from a cold. I felt no difference in anything, after my salt room session.

The customer service was very poor from the time of check in to the time of check out. When I first arrived, John just gave me a quiet hello then gives me some papers to fill out and didn't say much else before taking me into room. During the massage, I felt some discomfort when he would knead my body with his arms because it felt like he had new grown hairs on his arms that were rubbing against my skin ( like when a man shaves his beard, then the new hairs start growing back- that's what it felt like rubbing against my skin). I couldn't really relax because of this. I did mention this to him at the end of the massage and his response was "That's the first time I've heard that." Didn't even apologize. Just gave a short nonchalant response. Plus, usually when I a get massage, at the end, my massage therapist offers me water and ask how the massage was and lets me know the problem areas they found during my massage, like knots in my back, tightness or inflammation in certain parts of my body and they would recommended stretches, ways to position you body while sleeping to help with hips and joint discomfort. There wasn't much communication after the massage either. John, did not offer me water, did not mention any problem areas he found in my body, nor did he give me any type of suggestions for any daily care like stretches, exercises, etc. He also never apologized for the rubbing hairs feeling on my skin. It was like he didn't want to be bothered with me anymore after the massage. He struck me as somewhat antisocial and someone lacking in customer service. This will definitely not be my go- to place for a Therapeutic massage.
