She was able to get us in within the hour. We went for an all over cryo session along with a local session. When we got there we were greeted by Sylvia, and went through the check in process. You are given recovery flip flops to put on, and directed to the locker room where you change into a robe. From there, we went over to the cryo chamber. She explained the process thoroughly. For someone who hates being cold, I was a little scared to do this. The temperature goes down to -120 - -240 F. You are in the chamber for 3 minutes. It goes relatively fast. But it feels so invigorating when you are done. She then explained all the other services the center provides. After she explains them all you want to do all of them! The local cryo session was about 12 minutes. While I was waiting to go, we were able to wait in the Salt room, that is decorated with hanging swing chairs and a lounger. It was relaxing to wait in there until my session. The local cryo session I had on my face and scalp. The temperature did not feel as cold as the chamber but was very relaxing. Left the center feeling completely relaxed.

East Coast Float Spa Princeton - Infrared Sauna

East Coast Float Spa Princeton

After a particularly rough few months both mentally and physically, my wife purchased me a total…read morerelaxation package from Groupon for this location, which included a 20 minute infrared sauna, a 60 minute float, and 30 minutes in a zero gravity massage chair. I have floated before and enjoy the experience, so fair or not, I found myself comparing my visit to East Coast Float Spa to my regular float location. Here's my thoughts on the experience. The infrared sauna was just not my thing. The actual room was lovely, but the sauna area was a bit small for me. I don't sauna often, but when I do I like to lay down. The booth was too short to even accommodate my 6'3" frame in a reclining position using the back support against one of the walls. I also whacked my head pretty good when I stood up when my time was up. This was no one's fault but my own, but just another note about the size of the actual sauna booth. The float tub and shower/changing room was perfectly functional and comfortable, and I had a very nice float. Far superior to any float capsule or "tube", this room was long and spacious enough for me to stretch my arms over my head or spread them out to both sides with a few inches to spare in each direction. While this was a very nice float tub, it was very clinical and sterile feeling. This is where my unavoidable comparisons started really piling up. The float tubs at Float NJ in Marlton are just...nicer. There is little to no difference functionally, but there is much more thought behind the aesthetics at Float NJ, and if I'm going somewhere for a total relaxation experience, those things make a difference to me. Finally, after showering off again, I headed to the pot-float room for my zero gravity massage chair time. Good God was that thing amazing! Definitely the highlight of the experience and the perfect way to wrap up my time at East Coast Float Spa. Just a word or warning: if you are claustrophobic, this may not be for you. The chair tilts back and really envelops your arms, legs and even head. It felt pretty amazing for me, but I could see some people have serious, "Nope" moments. So, I very much enjoyed my time at East Coast Float Spa, but I didn't enjoy the main event as much as I do at Float NJ. The staff were all very nice and attentitve and the facility was very clean and well maintained, but given their similar price points, even with East Coast being much closer to me, I don't think I would come here to float again. Those massage chairs on the other hand, I'd pop in there any time for those!

I've had one float spa experience here, but several zero gravity chair massages. I love the zero…read moregravity chair so much, that I keep going back for more and even purchased my husband a multi-pack gift of chair massages. It's actually helping him with some back problems. East Coast Float staff and facilities deliver a great experience. East Coast is immaculate to the point of being very sterile and sanitary like a hospital, which is a good thing considering you're floating around naked in salt water. Floats for new clients are $65, $75, $85 for a 60 minute, 90 minute, and 2-hour float, respectively. The Zero Gravity chairs are $15 and $20 for 20 minutes and 30 minutes, respectively. Appointments are required for all services. We went for a 90 minute float. In my mind, I thought to myself, "90 minutes, I've gotta be crazy." I did struggle to relax for about the first 15 minutes and wondered how I was going to get through this, but I closed my eyes and before I knew it the float was over and I came out quite relaxed and refreshed. Each float is a private room, with a shower and amenities including shampoo, body wash, etc. You can chose whether you want your float experience in the dark or with light as well as with or without music. I went with lights and music; my husband went with dark and no music (he had done this before). To me darkness and no sound for 90 minutes was a bit daunting. After the float, there is a vanity room to dry your hair, put on makeup etc. There are some great free product to be used including body lotion and special spray for your hair.

An appointment was scheduled for me and on the Sunday of my appointment Colleen greeter us and explained everything in great detail to us. You have to shower and wash your hair prior to getting in the tank and you have the option of going in your swimsuit or birthday suit, the choice is yours. You have a private room with a shower stall and a float pod. They provide the shampoo, conditioner (use after you get out the pod), ear plugs, towels and floatation devices for you to use in the pod. Now once in the pod, that's when it became tricky for me...I couldn't get myself in a comfortable position for the longest. Most people lay on their back and are comfortable that way with a floaty behind their head. Me on the other hand found my comfortable position to be on my stomach, resting my chin on a floaty with my arms extended 2 fingers locked. This was the best for me!! While trying to figure out my comfort position, I did begin to move, extend, and stretch the part of my body that I was having discomfort in and since then that part of my body has been feeling really well. I'm able to move it and everything with it being stiff and very painful before. I'd definitely go back. Colleen was helpful and answered all questions that I had. The one thing that I didn't like was the slimy feeling your skin has when you're in the float. Also, make sure you bring your own soap and things and shower VERY WELL when done so as not to bring salt with you.

Starting off with first impressions, I came on a Friday morning right when they opened, so I didn't…read morehave to deal with parking issues or crowds. The girls at the front desk were super sweet and gave me the rundown about the spa's layout and etiquette. Check-in was super simple. You walk in, ask for a day pass, make reservations for additional services if you want (I recommend reserving at least a week earlier to get your preferred time), and they give you your wristband and lounge attire/towel. The women's locker rooms and bath area were pretty clean and very spacious. You don't need to bring very many toiletries, as they have large dispensers of lotion in the locker room area and shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower area. They have hair dryers for use and lots of outlets in the vanity area in case you want to bring other styling tools of your own. I started off with a 30 min Quick Fix Facial and was serviced by Ellie (10/10 recommend). It was super relaxing and we made small talk about skincare based on my concerns. She was super nice and very professional. After I left my skin was glowing! I then headed to the juice bar and got an iced matcha latte (also super good) and relaxed by the lounge area with my laptop before I had my next service. It wasn't too loud, and there's free wifi, so you can get some work done, watch a show, or read a little. Keep in mind the lounge area is an open space connected with the juice bar and food court, so it's not library quiet. That being said, people aren't yelling, and nobody was playing their online media out loud, so it's easy to tune out all the white noise. I then got a 30 min Swedish Massage by Andy, which was more than satisfactory. I was worried about the massage being too rough, but he did everything just right. Only during a few second-long periods did it feel a bit heavier, but I knew he was working out a knot. Even then, it was not bad, and I was glad to know he was being thorough. For lunch, I got a shrimp tempura roll and miso soup, and both were tasty and fresh. I loved the complimentary yoga class, which happens daily from 2-3 PM. Regarding the bathhouse, it's listed on their website that you have to be nude, and plenty of people have talked about that, so I won't bore you with those details. That being said, the varying temperatures are nice, so you can choose based on your comfort. The showers are in the same bath area and are open, just to note, but nobody is really looking at you. You get comfortable pretty quickly once you realize nobody cares and there's a lot of body positivity. Overall, I had a lovely experience. The staff are friendly and help you feel comfortable, and there are plenty of things to do. Definitely recommend staying the whole day. If you want to enjoy all the amenities but are a little wary about the nudity, I suggest coming early when there's less people, and it feels a little more private. I was slightly hesitant to visit the spa based on the mixed reviews I saw online, but ultimately decided to give it a chance. I had never been to a Korean spa, and I live over an hour away, so I was really hoping for a good experience. That being said, I'm very happy I decided to come and look forward to coming back.

They then assign you a small locker for your shoes and then you go inside to the gender specific locker rooms where you have a larger locker. They issue you a uniform that you need to wear while in the common areas so you need to change into that in the locker room. Since the locker rooms are gender specific, all baths within that area require full nudity (I did not participate in those but I heard they were wonderful). Any service like mud bath and scrubs require full nudity and you can sign up online or right inside the locker room. If nudity isn't your thing, there are still plenty of things to do (just no bath stuff). In the common area, all genders intermingle and there are 5 different saunas will all different temperatures and all different themes. They have a sleeping room (which is also used for a nice yoga class), lounge chairs, a common sitting area, a cafe, and a small eatery. You can rent games at the cafe for free and the cafe has a huge menu of both healthy and indulgent treats. You can sign up for different massages, facial, hair, or foot treatments right in the common area. I do suggest signing up for these services online beforehand because they fill up quickly (all services are an extra charge and automatically add an 18% gratuity). We spent about 7 hours here with a group of 7 people and we wish we had more time. I do wish that they had proper showers inside with curtains and/or a changing area for those of us that are a little shy. Staff was friendly and we'll definitely be back. Afternoon got crowded so I would suggest going earlier in the day if you're going on a weekend.
