I am updating my review of We Can Do It Plumbing. I originally contacted Carbo for a small job. A great job was done. I decided to have my home completely re-piped. It was a big ass job. Carbo rocked it. There was only one place where it was necessary to break into the wall in my living space. Carbo brought a guy to fix the wall/ceiling. When doing the re-pipe Carbo thought there might need to be some tiles redone around the faucets in the shower and the upstairs bathtub. However Carbo was able to cut the tiles out and put the tiles back without any additional work. The upstairs bathroom cabinet was replaced but the original sink part of the cabinet was retained. It looks great. Carbo even painted the doors of the new cabinet to match the rest of the bathroom. Now my house has all copper pipes and a new water heater. It's been over a year since this work was done and I have had zero problems. Highly recommend! As I said before, A+++ read more

We Can Do It Plumbing responded quickly and were able to schedule a visit within 2 days to unclog my bathroom sink. Carbo and assistant were careful, respectful and professional in their work. Although it was a small job, I felt valued and well taken care of. I will definitely use them again for the next plumbing challenge that comes my way. read more

Great experience with We Can Do It. Of the 4 estimates I took, they were the only company that provided me with a written set of 3 possible scenarios and prices for each. We had a Moen Flo automatic water shutoff system installed and they arrived on time, consulted me throughout the day when needed, and worked in a focussed manner. Communication was easy, pleasant, and thorough. I will use We Can Do It Plumbing in the future without hesitation. read more

I had a pretty complex piping job that needed to be done, prior to having my Moen Flo properly installed. I called and consulted with a few plumbers, but I knew pretty immediately, after my initial phone call and follow-up in-person assessment with Carbo, that I wanted them to do the job! From the get-go, they were thorough, patient, knowledgeable, super personable, and creative in considering ways to approach the project. Due to the nature of the work, we were in communication quite a bit to explore options and review the final plan. Carbo was consistent in how they showed up and felt optimistic, even excited, about the process and outcome. The job took two days, requiring some intense trenching and thoughtful navigating around the large roots of several special trees in my front yard. Lily assisted on both days, and their determined, straight-forward, open, and communicative personality also made me feel confident and at ease about how things were going. Watching both of them in action was awesome: a lotta hard work and partnering to have the smoothest finish as well as finding reliable solutions when a few surprises came up. I am so happy I went with We Can Do It Plumbing and very satisfied with my new cooper piping and Moen Flo installation. When I need a plumber in the future, I will definitely call on Carbo again. It's nice to feel so comfortable with someone who's tending to your home -- that type of read-deal energy mixed with expertise is special. Thank you Carbo and Lily! :) read more

There's not an issue they can't fix! Just call already! Toilet issues, water shut off valve, or no hot water, give them a call!

Carbo was super fast and fixed everything on the spot. My dishwasher was leaking, and Carbo noticed the pipes weren't properly installed plus adjusted my slanted dishwasher. Highly recommend for any of your plumbing needs! read more

Absolutely fantastic service! The team was prompt, professional, and really knew their stuff. They fixed my plumbing issue quickly and at a fair price. Highly recommend them for any plumbing needs! read more

This team is the best. They are super nice, they listen to you and are honest about what you can expect. They show you their work and explain what they did. They clean up after the job is done. I felt an immediate sense of trust and was very comfortable with them. They were great with the dogs! They even put more water in the dogs' bowl! I recommend them with to the highest degree. read more

I have hired them for dozens of projects. I'm a property manager in the East Bay and SF and they've helped us renovate kitchens and bathrooms, replace water heaters, check house water supply, remove unused gas supply (safely). Small jobs like replace a faucet or valve; big jobs like re-piping stuff behind the walls. Always tidy, friendly, and good at explaining the current project as well as pointing out opportunities to improve plumbing to prevent future problems. I typically don't call them for major emergencies, but I can usually get them out in a couple days for less urgent drips or new installations. We mostly text or call. Highly recommended. read more

**So kind!** I had a great conversation with her, and while she didn't have time to complete this job, she referred me to her friend, also a licensed plumber, who was able to help and did complete the job. Just chatting with her for a few minutes taught me so much about plumbing, and although my urgent job couldn't fit into her packed schedule, I really appreciated how kind, patient, and generous she was with her time--even for a job she couldn't take on herself. read more

We Can Do It is the best. So easy to work with, from scheduling to finish. Pleasant as well as really knowledgeable and competent. I got photos of the pipes in my crawlspace being worked on so I could see the issue for myself, even though by that point I completely trusted them. Besides being expert at major jobs, they are also willing to do very minor things. And the rates are reasonable. read more

Reliable expert plumbing here! In my older apartment, I have had many issues addressed and fixed in an expeditious manner over the last 5 years. We Can Do It worked on various jobs here for me and has me as a satisfied customer. They are great! I highly recommend them and appreciate this great service. All items repaired or replaced are working nicely now thanks to We Can Do It Plumbing and Carbo, the We Can Do It Plumbing business owner. All the work has held up beautifully. I appreciate the great communication skills, professionalism, and the attention to detail and concern. This outfit is dedicated to making sure you are a satisfied customer and that the job is high quality, etc! Thank you again and again for all the great work over the years! read more

Carbo was great. Efficient and a good communicator. We had a handful of plumbing issues that Carbo knocked out in a day of work. We had an annoying water hammer, some flow issues, some noisy pipes, and our garbage disposal was stinky. They listened carefully to our concerns and walked the whole house with us to understand the issues. They were upfront about what the work would look like and how much it would cost. They did a great job fixing it all. Our water heater is on it's last leg and when it finally dies we'll definitely be using Carbo's services again! I would use them for any plumbing project big or small. read more

Carbo was awesome. Based on my description of what was happening, they estimated it would be a half-day project, tearing some holes and replacing burst pipes. But when they arrived, they ran a couple of diagnostics that showed the real cause was a 15 minute fix! Their honesty and depth of knowledge saved me literally hundreds of dollars. I was so impressed by their work that I had them come back a few days later to work on two other nagging problems. Extremely prompt, knowledgeable, kind, and friendly. read more

I highly recommend Carbo. Scheduling was easy, communication was clear, and the services were completed quickly, effectively, and with care. Carbo even had an audience - my kids enjoyed learning all about plumbing! read more

Carbo was timely, responsive, and an excellent communicator. Not surprised, with as good as they are, that they were booked a week out. Still, finding a time for them to come do the job was painless and fast. On site they were patient, curious, and fair. They stand by their work and I'm thrilled to be working with them on whatever other plumbing needs arrive at our restaurant. read more

Submitting another review for We Can Do It Plumbing and Carbo because I've used their services for THREE more jobs since my first review about a month ago. Two of these jobs were planned (installing a washer-dryer unit in our in-law unit and snaking our bathroom sink) and one was unplanned (found a significant leak in one of our sewer pipes) and had to get it fixed ASAP. With this review I'll talk mostly about the third, unplanned job. Carbo was able to come out, diagnose the problem, and fix the issue all in a very timely manner. (I'm glad I had already worked with Carbo and knew who to call when we discovered the issue). We ended up having to replace a decent amount of that sewer pipe (going from below our main bathroom toilet, into our crawlspace, and back out the side of our house) with new ABS pipe. I was particularly impressed with how Carbo was able to maneuver and get the job done because most of the area in question was in our crawlspace and other hard-to-reach areas. I always thought our crawlspace was gnarly but Carbo informed me they've seen much worse. Throughout, Carbo was very communicative about the whole process and also very non-intrusive on our house as we went on with our day. Our dog has become very good friends with Carbo! Carbo even followed up to make sure the job was stable and that there were no additional issues. Everything about We Can Do It Plumbing from my first review still stands so please refer to that one for my additional thoughts. Quality work at very reasonable prices. I am glad my wife and I have found our go-to-plumber in Oakland! read more

Carbo replaced the kitchen sink and faucet at a place I lived in a few years ago and has since done plumbing work for many friends and folks in my community. They recently installed a hot water recirculating pump at a friend's house (in the photo!) They are an excellent and knowledgeable plumber! read more

Carbo went above and beyond. And beyond again. I had asked for an old tub fixture to be modified. It was an impossible job. Carbo sourced a replacement part and came back twice because the manufacturer really hadn't constructed it correctly. Caro went through a lot of effort to help me and kept me fully informed all along the way. There was no additional cost to me for the return visits. I will never again use another plumber. Absolute rockstar client service. read more

Carbo doesn't stop until it's fixed and fixed right. They are the best one to call when you need a real pro.

Carbo is the best! They explain everything they're doing, why things need to be a certain way, and why things cost what they cost. I know so much more about plumbing now and I can make more informed decisions. Of all the contractors I've ever worked with, Carbo has been the best both in terms of quality of work and communication. read more

My bathtub faucet was both leaky and the hot was almost impossible to turn off. Carbo was excellent: quick to schedule, prompt, clear and explained things well. They also found a more serious problem (stripped threads inside the pipes) that would have been MAJOR EXPENSE had it gone on much longer. They cut the wall and replaced all the piping and fixtures in a jiffy. I am happy to take baths again and cannot recommend them highly enough. read more

Carbo is an all star! They've done several jobs for us since we moved into our home and in addition to doing consistently great work that gets to the root of problems and holds up over time, they're an excellent communicator- about when they will arrive, laying out the range of options to tackle a problem, etc. read more

We had a clogged and leaking sink. I was able to get an accurate quote through photos/video in advance, Carbo showed up right on time and when she had to get a part, she got an extra one for the other side that would eventually wear out and showed me how to do it myself! So refreshing, as a woman, not to worry I was getting scammed by a service provider and to feel empowered to do something myself if I chose to. Highly recommend! read more

I used them to fix my furnace vent and Carbo really went above and beyond to not only do their primary job but to actually get my heat working before they left. Great work, great attitude, excellent communication and an altogether pleasant experience for something I had to get done. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. read more

This Company was totally an A+ !!!! Replaced my toilet and shut off valve, fixed the hot water spigot for the sink and fixed the leaky shower spigots in the main bathroom. She was totally efficient, friendly and "knows her business and how to do it" I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PLUMBING CO IN A HEARTBEAT, TO ANYONE !!!! read more

I had tried to fix our dripping shower a few times, but when that failed, I asked around for a plumber recommendation and got Carbo. Carbo both tightened all the fixers to resolve the drip, and also recommended an adjustment to our water pressure in order to help prevent future drips. I especially appreciate that Carbo took time to explain how everything works and the pros and cons of recommended improvements I could make in the future. read more

Carbo has helped us out with a number of sump pump issues in our basement (winter 2022-23 has been soggy as heck). They are extremely responsive and very easy to schedule with. Once on site, Carbo worked hard to help diagnose our issues and offered multiple options at different price points for moving forward. They are extremely knowledgeable and generous with their time and information. In addition to the specific sump pump issues they were at our place to correct, Carbo answered all my questions and offered information and advice on other plumbing related stuff in our house. I am extremely grateful to have found Carbo and can't recommend them enough! read more

We had a large leak springing from our main drainage pipe into our crawl space (and seeping into our basement) and Carbo came out quickly and got right to work. They toiled thru the day and wouldn't leave until the job was done, even though it took until 9pm to complete. I was afraid to see the price after all that labor, but the invoice was very reasonable and I would hire them again in a heartbeat. Plus they shop vac'ed the dirt up at the end! Great service. read more

Lauren "Carbo" Carbonell came to my rescue on relatively short notice when my SF Mission apartment Edwardian toilet from 1982 decided to leak, overflow, and begin quickly and then slowly flooding my apartment. Lauren helped me get the water valve off and address the emergency. Then, in the next 48 hours after figuring out what was necessary to replace the toilet, came over, COVID safe (N95) and replaced my toilet with something cost effective and water efficient. Lauren explained everything in detail and fixed the toilet and sealed it within a number of hours while I was out and about. Lauren worked with my schedule and even coordinated with my landlord for payment. After all that, my water heater was leaking, and I knew just the plumber for the job. Prompt, professional, and highly knowledgeable Lauren was exceptional. What impressed me most about Lauren's work was how prompt and professional they were without charging me an arm and a leg. Usually you can pay an arm and a leg for prompt service that you have to beg for. Or you have to beg and you pay a decent price and it takes weeks to months for these things to culminate. Here, I got both. We Can Do It! Plumbing is my #1 go to from here on our and I am excited to see their business grow. Lauren is really charming, sweet, and a highly skilled tradesperson. Cannot recommend them enough. read more

Our shower has been slowly dripping and after a few attempts to handle it ourselves, we knew it was time to call in someone who knew what they were doing. Lauren was quick to respond, listened to the information I had and took my amateur guesses seriously, and then got to work. The work was methodical and done with care for my space and things, and they were able to quickly identify a few problems that were interacting and brought attention to some issues I didn't even have on my radar. I feel very lucky to have found my way to this service and feel confident in the repair. Definitely worth the investment. read more

I'm pleased to be the first reviewer on this awesome local business. Lauren helped me on short notice with two small jobs in my bathroom and kitchen. They gave me the option to save money by doing part of the project myself, and gave me good ideas for improvements I can make in the future. Definitely my go-to plumber for the future. read more

Our basement space got filled with water due to a clogged/corroded pipe, the sump pump then broke due to this, and the crawl space flooded and it caused the water heater to break. Carbo came out on short notice and quickly fixed the pipe, sump pump, and water heater. Carbo was extremely professional, thorough, clearly communicated about the repairs, and was a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend Carbo to everyone I know! read more
