Nick was our estimator and he went over all of the different colors of gutters and downspout installation options and I decided to replace my white and cream colored ones with bronze ones, and it turned out to be a great decision because they ended up looking great! They answered all of my questions and were all very kind and thorough with everything. Quickly after the quote was made, we got the work done and they were very quick and efficient, didn't bother my neighbors, did a lot of work out of their truck, cleaned up after themselves, and hauled away the old gutters and downspouts. About a year later, a tree branch kind of bang the gutters and that's when the problem all started. I had a bunch of water eventually dripping from my fascia board. Not cool! So I tried calling a couple of other companies and all they did was make this way worse! Enter south side gutters! Daniel came out and was a super cool dude. I really like them! We talked about gutter size, colors and the best way to fix this problem. Got my estimate, great price! No complaints so I said sure, come on by and replace my gutters! Less than a week later, Colin and another guy came out to pop up these gutters. It took them less than a day. These gutters look fantastic! No gutter guard needed because they're 6-inch gutters. That's right, 6-in gutters! Better price then you'll find for 5-in. And I'm telling you, it's totally worth it. Take it from experience, do not fall for these companies that tell you they'll just give you a bigger downspout with 5-in gutters. That does not work! You really do need these 6-inch gutters. Well come to find out Architectural Exterior Design had ruptured my Freon line during the roof install. I called and asked that they pay for the repair and the president, Ryan Merritt, was rude and disrespectful and flat out refused to take responsibility for his roofers driving two nails through my Freon line. Save yourself the headache and go with another company. I have Pictures of all their deficiencies and plan on reporting them to BBB and whoever else will listen.

It was just me being a decision maker and I work from home - no problem. I went along with it. Then, my phone rang back and the lady who was scheduling me just wanted to let me know and check if it was a problem if it was closer to being 4 hours due to him coming from Norfolk. I said sure again, and was expecting him not to show up. I was actually hoping to just get a relatively simple job done while I had someone down on the island. A guy shows up in a car (Virginia plates) and very personable. Does all his measurements and what I wanted. We discussed the one side of the house (40ft) that I definitely wanted done and the other side (another 40ft) as being optional. Also, due to lack of high trees, no real point for doing the covers. Price was negotiated and a contract agreement was prepared. As I recall, this was on a Thursday and they were able to schedule this for a Monday install - again, I told them not a problem and just to communicate with me for any changes. Monday morning came and the two man crew showed up with their truck and trailer (again, Virginia plates). Job went smoothly and product looks great. One issue arouse with the corrugated drain pipes for the downspout to move the water away from the house they didn't have. We discussed if they wanted to take it off the bill (not a penny has been paid yet), which I was fine grabbing them for like $30 bucks at Lowe's and popping them on myself and after their phone call to the office, they said they would like to do a post inspection and would bring them down and install them. I asked about how long, and they said the next day. And there I am on Tuesday and another guy (Virginia plates still) shows up and rings the door bell, does a walk around and made sure the job was done up to their expectations and installed (snapped on) the two downspouts as told they would. That's a total of three trips for different people to a remote location at least 2 hours from Norfolk. Done almost immediately and noting the local companies didn't even want to call me back. Price was great, product was great, everything was smooth. I was waiting for something to be wrong and didn't read any reviews prior to calling them. They did seem like a larger company and I did get a full warranty and paperwork you would expect from such - which I doubt I would of gotten that from the local guys. On all fronts - they did do what each one of them said and committed to. They were easy to work with. It was a typical "all decision maker being present" that had me concerned from other experiences with "remodel" companies, but that wasn't the case. They were just as interested in writing a deal that I was to have this project done that probably took me a year of trying to find a reasonable company that would just even respond for someone living out here full time. She kept yelling, I tried to de-escalate her by telling her to calm down...your'e disrespecting me, you're in my home...stop yelling! She continued to be even more unhinged. I literally took her shoes (took them off when she entered my home) and put them on the porch to get her out of my house! She had a huge case with assorted samples. She hit my knees hard as she exited my home. I feel it was purposely done because she was angry. I immediately contacted Lowe's customer service line.
