The family running the place was very friendly and helpful. We came here a few days after visiting Kaloo in Warwick. We bought the pistachio Dubai bar in Kahloo and they charged $14. Here at the Middle East Market they charged $9 for the same bar. Plus I feel like they more fluent in English at this store than Kaloo. You can find middle eastern home goods, spices, baked treats, drinks, sweets, international candies (found Flake bars from the UK), meal starter spice/seasoning mixes, frozen foods, and more. On the other side of the store they have smoke shop supplies and more bodega type stuff like snacks, refrigerated drinks, and other impulse buys. I can't really eat carbs anymore but a rose petal covered Turkish delight caught my eye. It was in the bulk candy section which they charge $11.75 per pound. The owner charged me 75¢ for my 1 piece and when I went home to weigh it it came out to almost the same price. All of the jars on the shelves were neatly arranged on the shelves. You could tell that they take great pride in the upkeep of the store. The shop is a little bit off the main road so it's easy in and out. Hope to visit this shop again soon!

I've had the pleasure of having chef Sami and his family cook for a large group at my church and it was banging. Super delicious. There's no menu posted but there may be some random Middle Eastern dishes posted but I couldn't decipher it. Up front they even have kid sized shopping carts and it has a little flag on it that says "customer in training" or something like that. They super cute. I will definitely be back. The first time I came was on a Sunday, and the restaurant was very quiet with only a few people there. The server who took our order completely forgot to ring in our drinks and food--not once, but twice. We waited around 30 minutes before anything arrived, and when it finally did, the drinks were incorrect. What made the situation worse was that the server never apologized or acknowledged the mistake. That being said, the food itself was excellent and honestly a 10/10. I decided to give the restaurant another chance and came back on a Friday, expecting a better experience. Unfortunately, the service was even worse this time. The servers seemed extremely unorganized and unprofessional. We waited about 10 minutes just to receive menus. When we tried to order two different bottles of wine, we were immediately told they didn't have either one, without much explanation or any attempt to offer alternatives. The atmosphere is supposed to be calm and relaxing, but one of the servers was extremely loud, which took away from the overall experience. I also noticed a child behind the bar, who was later driving a scooter around the back parking lot. Whether or not this is typical, it definitely added to the feeling that the restaurant lacked organization and professionalism. To be fair, the food was once again very good, and I have absolutely no complaints about the quality of the food. The biggest issue is the customer service and overall management of the dining experience. There is clearly a lot of potential here, but the service needs significant improvement. It's especially disappointing because I originally heard about this place through an employee who works across the street at their other location. She was incredibly sweet, professional, and had a great personality, which gave me high expectations coming here. Unfortunately, the experience at this location did not come close to matching that level of hospitality. I really hope they take this feedback seriously because the food is genuinely amazing.
