SPECTACULAR! 4th year in a row here during the conference we go to for our continued medical…read moreeducation credits. I think this place should have 5 star rating! Every time we come here the service is excellent and the food is amazing. This is what we come for right? Outstanding food and service! This year was no different than the other years and I love how the menu continues to evolve and change and everything that comes to life from the menu to the table is well thought out and bursting with harmonious blends of flavor. The presentation is gorgeous too! Plating is also important and they nail it! Okay let's gooooo! Come join our dining experience! We tried a bit of everything! We loved every bit of it. I'll mention my faves but that doesn't take away how hard it was to choose a fave! Everything was DELICIOUS ! Raw bar: Jamestown oysters . We had 10. We can't get enough east coast oysters. We live in the west side and I cannot say enough how much better oysters are on east coast! Slurp ! Mmm! Snacks: 1. Shartner's Farm Carrots: pea green pesto, pine nut, n'duja . If you're a meat, potato and pasta person and try to avoid your veggies, don't do that here. GET IT! It's such a great melody of textures and flavors that pair well. It doesn't feel like you are eating carrots and regardless it's a very dressed up bougie delicious carrot plate ! Mmmm . One of my faves out of the snacks. 2. Narragansett Creamery Burrata: green strawberry, speck, basil. Creamy, vibrant and just delicious Pasta: only had room in our tummies for 1 but every year we try different pastas and never disappoints. This year no exception. Maltagliati- hopkins southdowns lamb sugo, swiss chard, harissa, umbrian chickpea. Excellent! Pasta was perfect texture and consistency!! Little touch of spice from harissa which I loved (not overpowering). The Swiss chard was cooked to a crispy texture which I loved. I was a bit nervous about the lamb because it really can vary from place to place. However, I should have known better being from here they cooked/braised it to perfection: melt in your mouth type of soft and no weird or gamey taste. Definitely delicious pasta I recommend. Plates: 1. Duck Leg Confit- japanese turnip, spigariello kale, huckleberry conserva, duck jus. Personally my faves of the two plates but both delicious. The crispy skin from the duck and tender flavorful duck meat was just to die for. Loooooved. Plus the turnips and the amazing huckleberry conserva! Thinking about it makes my mouth water. So so good. 2. Beef Short Rib-swiss chard erbazzone, sunchoke, hazelnut. Loved it. Tasty as expected. Great flavor and tender. Dessert: 1. Olive Oil Cake- strawberry, rosé, lime curd, basil gelato. Wow! Oh wow! I'm so happy this time around they have some cake options. I love olive oil cake and now to pair with a basil gelato sounds insane right? Holy cow! Soooo good! Not what I was expecting. Strawberry, rose, lime and basil gelato flavor all work well together in this dessert. My fave dessert of the night! TRY IT! 2. Cookies N' cream: narragansett creamery ricotta, chocolate biscotti- yummy! Tasted like an elevated cookies and cream ! We loved our experience! Hopefully when you visit here, you can enjoy it as much as we do year after year. I absolutely love this place. Food is beyond excellent and is a place you have to stop by and visit while in Newport.

That's a long time to keep little ones entertained. The staff offered an "apology" cheese ball, which ended up becoming our son's dinner while we kept waiting for his pasta. They also gave us two extra shrimp cocktails as an apology -- woah! A friend had highly recommended this place, but unfortunately, our experience was a real disappointment. I won't be coming back again.

Sandy was our amazing server, provided great recommendations and very attentive to her respective tables. Cocktails were great, antipasto was a great start not too much to leave room for the main and desert! The focaccia was light and flavorful as well. Had the rigatoni bolognese which was prepared perfectly and had great flavor. Nearly licked the plate clean! Saved a little room for desert with both cakes being tasty and washed down with an espresso martini. Lovely place to have a date night or night out with friends!

She was nice enough to let me try them and I chose the Trevino which was very good and paired great with my food. The bread was nothing special but solid and the high quality olive oil made up for it. For my main I got the chicken milanese and it was divine. I loved the vinaigrette on top perfectly acidic and vinegary. It cut though the oil and heaviness of the breading which was perfectly salted by the way. The arugula bean salad was sooo good and created such a well balanced meal. The one thing I will say is I believe their fryer does fish and chicken bc my chicken had a slight ocean taste but since I like fish I was not bothered but non fish people beware!

We started off with drinks --gin dirty martini and a classic old fashion, both were perfectly made and crisp. Food: Appetizer-warm bread with butter was a nice starter. However I wish we got the escargot with bone marrow as we watched it being made it looked and smelled delicious. Entrees- we split a 27 oz ribeye and the scallops. The steak was a beautiful cut of meat, well marbled, cooked to perfection and seared so nicely. It was sooo tasty and seared with Malden salt. We are pretty snobby when it comes to steak and this was probably the best steak I've ever had out at a restaurant. The scallops similarly were cooked and seared perfectly and seasoned correctly. Laid on a bed of watercress and potato fondant it was the perfect delicate bite and contrasted nicely with the steak. We got the side of brussel sprouts with peanut Rayu which was a beautiful flavor bomb. I can't say enough about the food. Every single thing we ordered was seasoned and cooked perfectly. I find that to be a rarity in today's restaurant scene. I could not recommend this place more. We really enjoyed it and this will be used as a comparison to every restaurant I go to going forward. 6/5 stars! Come here

Our experience completely redeemed the place on those concerns: every bite of food we had was _delicious_ and prepared in a masterly way. And the noise . . . well, it just wasn't even remarkable. It's a popular place, sure, but it's not a madhouse or anything. (I can think of two other nearby places that were a LOT louder than TSK on the nights we visited them.) Okay, but the service - friendly and . . . seemingly caring . . . but - I don't know, not always on top of things? Some things were instantly noted and addressed, others - well, there were big gaps of time between check-ins . . . and it wasn't an especially busy time. Also a couple reasonably major life events that had been noted when making the reservation were not even remarked upon: it was just sort of, "Here's your supper!" We'd certainly go back - the folks in the kitchen are fantastic and I want more of what they make - heck, I'd go back today. The folks out front . . . well, it wasn't an "A-Team" experience, although it wasn't unpleasant or anything.

This was at the height of tourist season, mid-August 2025. The shop is small and the single clerk was very helpful and informative about all their sauces. Their big attraction is not just their vast number of varieties from basic tame to super hot, but their hottest sauce, where they offer a challenge to those who dare. It's a sauce called Purgatory. One has to sign a release to try a free single drop sample. Several of us gave it a shot. Yes, it was incredibly hot, a sinus clearing product if there ever was one. You can keep taking free additional samples if you can handle it. If you can reach 7 sample drops, you enter their hall of fame, which is supposedly online, but I have not checked. None of our party tried more than one. Purgatory comes in an eye-catching gift box and one of our party purchased a box as a birthday gift. Have to wonder if it will be appreciated. It wasn't cheap either. Definitely worth a drop-in when walking through this area. They claim to have nearly 100 varieties (we did not count).

We started off having a good experience, tons of samples of spices and hot sauces so that as…read morecustomers we would know what we would want to buy. They have the samples all throughout the middle ring desk in the shop. There is a single product that is UNMARKED, and does NOT have a seal underneath the lid. As a customer, we would not know this. This product was placed right near all the other sample products. My partner and I opened the product, sniffed, and put it back like we did everything else. When we go to pay for something else that we wished to buy, the cashier tells us that the product we opened didn't have a seal, and that because we opened it and it wasn't a sample that we were expected to pay for it. This was two separate $22 products where they told us we did this on. This shop is running a SCAM. The owner even confirmed with the person running the shop that we had to pay for this by reviewing footage of the cameras. NEVER shop here, they don't mark products properly and I bet intentionally placed this product to try to scam people into paying for it, maybe even because it wasn't selling well. Putting something that you "can't sell once opened" with NO protective layer like every other product in the store has, RIGHT NEXT TO THE SAMPLES feels like it to me. We didn't even want this spice, it was one of the hottest spices in the entire store. They threatened to call the police on us over this when we tried to argue that it isn't our fault that they put such a product in such a bad place. NEVER SHOP HERE. We will NEVER go back, being treated like thieves when acting like a NORMAL CUSTOMER would in a shop. Over $44 worth of items that THEY FAILED to properly place, label, and advertise. This experience completely sullied our trip to Newport that WAS going well. We would have stayed and even let the police be called if we didn't have our parking meter running out soon, which would have cost us a hassle to extend further. We paid their extortion fee and left, and will NEVER COME BACK. We advise that nobody gives this shop any time of day, as they'll find a way to scam you too in a new and inventive way! Edit: they tried to reach out to me on Google reviews and said to contact corporate. I did, and no response. Still running a scam.

There is a lot of character in every seating area. Even though we were seated in the bar, we sat next to a fireplace with lit faux candles and admired the ceiling beams. The service was courteous, neither rushing us nor ignoring us. My partner preferred her oysters at White Horse Tavern to the top notch seafood restaurant we'd dined at the evening before... So I'd say that's quite the endorsement. I got the vegetable platter, but hadn't anticipated how much black pepper much of it would contain...of which I'm not a fan. As a result, I barely touched some of the more visually peppered vegetable dishes. On the upside, even with sharing the dish with my dining companion, the portions were generous and there was plenty to go around. I was quite full with the 2 1/2 selections that I did consume: carrots, mushrooms and 1/2 the beets (which had more pepper), leaving the more highly peppered asparagus and squash untouched. Select your side dishes accordingly. In the end, I'm glad we came....but wish I'd ordered seafood, with a side of carrots or mushrooms.
