The price is fair. I find this is a professional, quality business. This isn't something always found in "the trades." I am impressed with the consistency, the commuincation, the quality. I found this company via Angi's.com. M&M…read moreConstrction&Masonry does Excellent work and is one of the best construction companies out there... hands down! IMO of course :) They demoed our 9 brick stairs and 2 walkways in the front of my house and reinstalled using granite and concrete. They were professional, trustworthy, respectful, and took pride in their work and the product they delivered. They showed up and showed out everyday until completion and minded their business :) Modesto is the head! He's very thoughtful about the way he does business. He's realistic with quotes and he's a dude with A TEAM that delivers!. He stayed connected to the job and us from start to finish. We gave them the freedom to play with the final design and they did an OUTSTANDING JOB on something that's so not exciting, typically! Due to the ugly, beat up brick that was there previously, I feel like the front porch now isn't good enough for my brand new stairs :( I was so impressed over the outcome, I'm ready to have them bid for some other jobs I have brewing in the midst. M&M had restored my faith...for now :)

I found M&M Construction on Angi. We had a leak in the basement from our foundation. I called two…read morecompanies to get an estimate and M&M came in about a third of the price for roughly the same work, though their guarantee was about half (10 years) of the other company. Modesto and his sons were excellent--professional, prompt, detailed, and efficient. They sealed the foundation, installed a French drain, and buried the leaders so the gutters wouldn't deposit water along the foundation. They even replanted all of our shrubbery and laid down loom and grass seed to regrow the grass alongside of the house. They regularly communicated via text so I always knew what to expect. I later hired them to do interior work after a plumbing problem which they did once again with excellence. Modesto found the problem and suggested ways to mitigate future problems without trying to upsell me. This project involved pulling out sheetrock and finished carpentry, water mitigation, rebuilding walls, carpentry, and painting. Though it took them longer than expected because of the extent of the damage, he charged the same price that he had quoted. The work was excellent. This company will be on speed dial.

He then attempted to add $150 to rake the stones in my side yard, even though I had clearly stated that I only needed weed removal and leaf cleanup, a job that could reasonably be completed in two hours or less. He originally agreed to perform the cleanup for $350 but later increased the price to $450 and then $550, claiming he needed to hire two additional workers. All of these discussions were captured on my exterior security cameras. After agreeing to the $350 price and scheduling the work for the following day, he failed to show up. When I contacted him, he responded, "I am sorry, I tried to find guys to help me with tomorrow but they didn't wanna work."

I hired Axel Landscaping Company to replace a fence post and two panels. Per our agreement, all…read morematerials were to be pressure-treated wood. When the installer, Axel, arrived, I asked him several times to verify the material, and he repeatedly confirmed the material was pressure-treated while on-site. The following day, a neighbor who is a contractor informed me that the panels installed are actually untreated pine. That has also been confirmed by Home Depot employee. I contacted Axel to request that he fulfill the original contract by installing the correct pressure-treated panels. While he acknowledged the discrepancy, he refused to rectify the situation. I will never hire Axel company again. The fence post is covered with a lot of mildew. Axel has used the cheapest materials.
