Pretty seamless to order. The delivery guy had some worries about dropping in the alley, but did a great job! They are quick to get you off the phone, so double check the accessories. I was quoted one type of fastener, but delivered another. The original quoted one would have made the job go quicker. My contractor dropped off some beautiful redwood lattice a few days ago to finish my deck. I asked him where he got it because it was so nice and I wanted to get some more to created some privacy screens. He said Wayside so I called to get a price. The "sales guy" was gruff and could barely be bothered. Wouldn't give me a price because the product wasn't in stock - not even a ball park. My contractor must have bought the last piece earlier this week. I called Berco instead. They had it in stock, quoted me a price, provided me their store hours. And all this without making me feel like I was bothering them. I'll take my money where I feel appreciated. read more

Been using them for years for our family business. Dozens of homes built. All the sudden the price of wood goes up and they start treating customers terribly. They are incredibly rude and tried to rip us off for delivery charges and restocking fees on back ordered items they never even delivered. Go anywhere else, even if it's a little more you will save money in the long run and be treated with respect. They sell all kinds of lumber, treated, headers, posts, siding. They can get you up to 20ft pieces at no extra charge. read more

I was in the area from out of town and needed to see some composite deck colors. I went in to see some samples and Barrett was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He did not dismiss us when he found out that we were from out of state just looking. On a whim we asked for prices and found out that it was WAY cheaper than Idaho. We bought the lumber and took it home. When we came to pick up we did not have a flat bed and Gary and the yard crew was happy to hand load in the trailer. 5 stars are not enough. read more

We purchased some railing panels, one of them was badly damaged and we still purchased it because we thought we would only need a part of the panel. When we finished the project we ended up not needing it. So today we tried to return it and they refuse to take it back. They were happy to sell it to us a week ago damaged. It's 130 part, they refuse to do what is right so I don't recommend dealing with people like this. read more

I had good customer service with Kurt (he personally gets 5 stars). But sadly it stopped there. Everyone is so rude and short with me. Like I'm ruining their day if I have a question. I ordered a bunch of lumber a couple months back for a large project and decided I needed more for a new project I'm starting. I called to get pricing and whomever answered the phone sounded so rushed annoyed that someone called and he had to take a second out of his day to answer the phone. He gave me a BIG sigh (so freaking rude!) and asked me what I needed with a rude & rushed tone to his voice. Hey Wayside! Maybe you should hire people that actually want to sell your goods? He said he'd get back to me since it would be a special order and was clearly irritated that he had to make some phone calls. Well... of course I never did hear back from the asshole.
