I live in a one bedroom and there…read moreis plenty of closet space and tons of space in the living room, there is a small dining room, the bedroom is very big and the bathroom is very spacious. They also allow Direct TV in the building which I thought was a big, big plus. So I know you are probably waiting for me to get to the bad points. 1. We don't have doorbells. There is a long electrical cord that hangs right by my front door from inside the building. I'm guess it belongs to the doorbells lol! I didn't have a working doorbell when I moved in, I don't have a working doorbell now and I'm pretty sure that I won't have a working doorbell later on before my lease is up next summer. When I have guests or order pizza, they must call you to let you know they are outside otherwise they are not getting in! Got a package coming from UPS? You better sit outside on the steps and wait for them because if UPS can't get in or notify you that they are here, they will leave a notice of attempt to deliver sticker right on the front door!!!! UPS cannot leave packages at the office because UPS comes after 5pm in this area and the office closes at 5pm! 2. When it rains, you can forget about parking. The middle of the parking lot fills up with a pool of water that you can nearly swim in. It does away after a day or two but it does this every time it rains. 3. Maintenance is VERY POOR!!! I'm going to say this again though, the problems were already here when they came. They just didn't know the magnitude of it. Let me start with my neighbors. Another one of my long time neighbors is moving (eventually when her lease is up) because they won't properly fix the lock on her door. You can definitely tell that there is a serious problem with the door because everyone can hear hers slamming the door 3-4 times just to get it to shut and lock. My other neighbor just couldn't take the lack of repairs anymore. I think her breaking point was the fact that they decided to put in exit signs on all of the doors. I nearly wanted to break out in laughter when I saw this too. This is the reason why. I have had a hole in my ceiling since February 2013 from a previous leak from my neighbor upstairs. They fixed the leak, but had to tear out a hole in the ceiling just to get to it. The company before decided to patch the hole by cutting a square piece of drywall and nailed it into the ceiling to cover the hole. It's been that way since. So in June when the new company came I said something about it. They said they would fix it. So, in July, they sent someone to do a walk through of all the units. When they went in my bathroom, the guy kept saying WOW, WOW, WOW when he saw the hole. He made a note of it and that was the last I saw or heard anything about it. So hear it is the last week of August so I make another request to fix the hole. They send someone out and this guy says WOW that's crazy. That is just crazy. He tells me that he's going to come back the next day and fix it. So the next day comes and he realizes why the old company patched it the way they did. The pipe they fixed is too big to cover properly so the slapped drywall up on the ceiling to cover the hole. They need to send someone out to redo the pipes. So, that guy comes and all he does it look at it. He says that the pipes can be redone so that he can patch up the hole. They slap that drywall back up and leave. A week later.................... No one is coming to fix the hole so I call the office. Management tells me the following: The guy that's supposed to fix that pipe is on vacation. They have someone that can fix it but I'm going to have to wait until they put in the exit signs first (You can imagine the look on my face when she said that to me) and that I'm not the only one in the building with this problem and I will have to wait. I really wanted that hole to get patched up because I had guests coming over. The same guests that saw the hole back in February. You can imagine the embarrassment on my face when they said "Dang, you have had that hole for almost a year now and they still haven't fixed it? Then they went on about the tenant rights and how I do this and do that to get out of my lease. No body wants to hear that crap and I don't want to leave. I just want the darn hole fixed. The only problem that worries me is that if something else goes wrong how long will I have to wait for that to get fixed? Who knows. I'm just tired and I've been considering for the last two-three days if I should just count my losses and leave too. But who has $2,000.00 to break a lease? The apartment complex is okay but you need to know first that you are not a priority when it comes to repairs. That's just my honest opinion about it.

Maintenance requests were light bulb out, we nicked the paint and wanted a touch up. I typically email Kena, the office manager and always get a fast and friendly reply from her. Neighbors are nice. Three weeks into me living here I found bed bugs crawling in my apartment. Mind you I've lived at my previous address for years and never had bed bugs before. Now at this point I am very uncomfortable. Since I have never experienced anything like this before, I immediately get on the internet and do some research on these bugs. After spending a couple of hours on the internet I went out and brought the Harrison Bed Bug Kit to prevent the spread of infestation. The reviews said to mist Dichotomous Earth where ever I think the bed bugs will hide, so I did just that. The next day I told the maintenance staff about the situation and he told me he would tell the community manger, which is Jamere. He did as promised because the following day I got a phone call from Jamere to come and talk to her. Me and Jamere talked and I expressed to her that I was uncomfortable living here and that It's unfair that I have to live under these conditions. After talking she said someone will be out to take care of the bed bugs. Fast forward to two days later I noticed that my neighbor directly across the hall had her door open and was moving furniture out. I go out and ask her friends whats going on and they tell me they are about to exterminate. I ask them what they are about to exterminate and he reply's, "we're trying to get rid of the bed bugs." I heard my neighbor say she has been dealing with this infestation for over a year. At this point I am livid. Now it makes sense. Because she has a infestation with bed bugs I to have to deal with bed bugs, not fair. I could go on and on here, but I think you get the picture. As I mentioned before this is the worst rental experience ever! The general manager Aaron does not respond to phone calls and the place is infested with bed bugs. I was there one year and there were four maintenance guys. Pat claims her sister owns property but never wants you to speak your concerns with the sister. Her mom stays in building and never can converse with other tenants. I stop paying rent because water leaks everywhere and has damaged all of my belongings. I did a check list when moved in and nothing ever was done and I verbally spoke with Pat reminding her and even emailed her. Not up to date on taxes with Wayne County. They are listed as Forfeited for 2008 and deliquent 2009 and who knows 2010. Water bill behind making partial payments. If you go look up and down and around dead flies in lights. Parking sucks have to fight for spots because bar next to it is normally off the hook. Suppose to be seniors second floor up and and and everyone has moved in, whether living with grand parents or just to collect that rent. I learned the hard way that sometimes what looks good is not. She's never in the office, you'll see her car and the lights on but she will have family pick her up and ride with them. I should have known something neighbors were complaining about leakage and I was invited over to be shown how it literally would rain over the entire room. Again this unit is on the ground level where tenant would cover bed and Tvs and Furniture with plastic tarps. after researching I came to the conclusion Pat and whomever owns this property are about to foreclose because its document to far gone in taxes and water bill so just stacking until get put out. Oh and for some reason they still never took me or anyone else to court for anything.
