I have lived here for some years due to my circumstances it is a horrible place to live. I would not advise anyone to move in here maintenance is terrible people have dogs and they poop everywhere. The apartment complex do nothing about it. I'm just happy this year I'm finally able to get myself together to get out of here horrible place. read more

As a current resident here, I'm hesitant of the repercussions that can follow from my post, but to prevent others from living this experience, I'm sharing my review of Meaddowood. Because I am a current resident, I doubt management will respond into my poor rating, proving how they do not care. My issues with living in Meadowwood Townhomes are the leaky fridge, creaky floors, the poor quality tub glaze that keeps peeling, peeling kitchen linoleum, and cars with expired tags taking up valued parking. And lastly, a management team refuses to take action when repeated rules are broken. Also, the complex is handicap accessible in many places. All the homes have stairs, none of the sidewalks have ramps and cars park in handicap spots without repercussion. Living here, I spend $1200 in rent just to not have a place to park, smell neighbor's dog poop on my patio, and suffer due to the lack of maintenance. After spending all that money, I feel SO undervalued. Since they wouldn't lower rent, I also feel STUCK. I wish I was in a financial position to move and put my hard-earned money where it belongs and not here. read more

Do not rent from this place.....Corporate is horrible and will not work with you. I leased my townhome with my young age son who lost his job 10 months ago and I have been paying all the rent bills etc by MYSELF and he even moved out 4 months ago. he has never signed not one M.O. for the rent because of course I have been paying this whole year and it's time to renew my lease and I tell them it'll just be me signing and they tell me I must redo an application and pay a fee when I'm already in here and paid when we first moved here so why would I need to redo an app for just myself and I have carried the load all this time.... I have two jobs with two incomes to qualify for the townhome as you see I have been paying so I write this review to tell renters beware...... find another place to rent not here! not to mention I am black but there is another resident with a similar issue where theor person moved out of the country but I bet they let them sign the lease alone but they will never admit that... but then again I'm black read more

Meadowood apartment is full of beep. I have no judgements or criminal background issues and they denied me a rental after advising me that I qualified as a renter. Then told me I would get something in the mail advising why. Upon getting said letter it had no information as to why my application was denied. It listed a number to call and when I called the 3rd party company advised they could email me a copy of the credit report their finding had no judgements or criminal history and the final decision is up to the apartment complex. When I contacted the complex Wendy, Amy & sone other lady name unknown they said the third party screeners make the decision on who is allowed to rent their homes. I started to contact the management companies person over them and felt like it wasn't worth it. Cause GOD got something better planned for me. I should've sued for discrimination read more

I would give less stars if possible. The maitnance staff has entered 4 times without notice. Trash everywhere. Tree limbs left for months with out explaination. Over priced turd of a complex. One of the staff burnt down the office. This place seems to be as incompetent as they come. I'm trying to break my lease 8 months early. Trash everywhere. Worst traffic thanks to one lane roads surrounding. Request maitnance, wait a week. I can go on and on. Look elsewhere. Trust me. Oh, and my place was DISCUSSING when I moved in. Worst place I have ever live. They say you get what you pay for... Not here! Not here. read more

The people working in the office are wonderful. Very friendly. The units themselves are fine. The carpet is not exactly luxurious. The floors are LOUD and creek all over the place. I live in one of the units that has a brand new kitchen and it is beautiful. The washer and dryer in the basement are great as well! The weird thing right now... the leasing office has a giant hole in the roof. In June (ish), there was an unfortunate fire that was contained to just the leasing office. But, it's now February of the next year and the hole is still there... not covered at all... One of the reasons I wanted to move in there (specifically to my building) was because they had a nice small gym in the leasing office... that is obviously out of commission. Not sure why it's still standing or gaping open. It's just such an eye-sore... and you lose out on the on-site gym. Grounds maintenance (especially winter) leaves something to be desired. The sidewalks are ICY - salt is not a common practice. The plows get out into the parking lots quickly but it's one swipe down the middle of the lot - never the parking spaces or anything - even when empty. It's pretty awful... read more

Let me start by saying my housing history was less than stellar. I had a foreclosure and some other hiccups. Lisa and Wendy did everything they could to get us approved, much admiration for their efforts. Then when I took ill and is adversely affected our ability to pay on time for a couple of months. Once again they placed humans over dollars and made it easy for us to get caught up. The unit itself is a sign of its age, it has some issues the dishwasher is small (half sized) for a family of 4. The basement while spacious has no electric aside for the washer and dryer. The bedrooms are fair to larger in size. the bathroom is small and the pluming needs attention. They are trying to update units and new front doors are nice, but the sliding doors are another issue and need attention. We planned on staying a year but here we are looking at our 2nd year and I enjoy my neighbors and we can plant and landscape our homes as we see fit. If you are looking and need a nice place without punishing your bank account, Meadowood is a must see... read more

While my stay in Meadowwood Townhomes wasn't very long (as I moved out of Michigan for work), I truly did enjoy my stay here. For a very reasonable price, I lived in a nice 2-story 2-bedroom townhome with fairly new appliances and a clean unit when I moved in. The management was always helpful and friendly, and not once did I feel like they over-stepped their bounds (unlike in Village Green apartments up the road). A year after my stay with Meadowwood they were still friendly enough to write me a recommendation for new apartment (which evidently has some very lengthy background credit checks). read more

TL,DR; don't live here. For the $825 I pay for rent, I could have a lot more space in an actual house. The townhomes themselves- a lot of the appliances are old and barely working. We have leaky faucets that after several maintenance calls aren't fixed and I always seem to get the voicemail when I call, and no confirmation they got the voicemail. Often I put in maintenance requests and it's like mysteriously the messages are lost. The winter maintenance is minimal. Walkways turn to ice as snow is not shoveled in a timely manner and we end up with huge snow barriers around the parking lots so it can be difficult to get to your vehicle. I would not let any elderly loved ones live here. Or any loved ones, really. I would recommend it to hated ones. I lost a big bag of groceries last winter when I fell and nothing is more irritating than working a full day, going to the store, than falling on your rear and breaking eggs and a bunch of other stuff when said bag breaks your fall. Your car will get dented and scratched by (presumably) kids who don't know how to open car doors properly. There are a lot of poorly raised children- the kind that see you in your car about to park but decide to stay in the road and call you names. It's weird. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone with kids. As for safety- the homes are close and kinda well lit externally so it seems less probable you'll have a break in but I still have a basic security system. I see cops here often, which I'm not sure if is a good or a bad thing. The basement is only useful as storage, as it is full of spiders and other critters. My basement drain has backed up a couple times- not like a huge amount of water but enough to make me glad I use plastic totes and not cardboard boxes. Between this and possible security concerns, it makes sense to have renter's insurance. It's like $17 a month anyway. It's not all negative. I don't have good credit but was able to live here. I haven't had any rodent, heating/cooling, or electrical problems. Parking is ample. Umm... my carpet and walls are clean? There's enough places nearby that at least pretend to care about their residents that I will not be renewing my lease. read more

I lived in Meadowood town homes from May until November 2016. It was a horrible experience at best. Upon moving in the unit had not been cleaned or maintained, the dishwasher had a smell coming from it which I discovered to be old food and mold at the bottom. There were also cobwebs throughout the home and the bathtub had been poorly caulked recently. The refridgerator had food stains throughout it and the cabinets where unusually sticky. Our air conditioner also did not work and it took the complex a few days until they could come out to fix it. They only came out because of persistent calls and e-mails from myself and my husband. We also had a broken dishwasher and windows that needed to be fixed, but those we not fixed at the same time as the air conditioner. Also upon moving in the washer and dryer had not be installed or moved into the basement as promised. We were without for 2 weeks, once they were brought, it was another two day delay because the person installing it did not have all the parts. Lastly, during the summer our townhouse became overrun with deer ticks. I'm not sure how or why this happened, but the apartment company did not seem bothered by this. They had someone come out to spray once and that's all they did. It was disgusting and after buying our own bug spray, we were able to rid the townhouse of the ticks, except for the dead tick carcasses throughout and in the basement. Although this place is cheap, it'd be worth it for you to look elsewhere and pay that extra $200-$400/month. This place doesn't care about it's tenants, just the bottom line and that is getting paid. read more

This is the cheapest place to live in Canton for a reason. Takes them months to fix a repair. The maintenance staff always tells you they're short staffed. It took 3 months to get a lock installed on the back door. There's always police going into buildings, not uncommon to see three police cars at a building. The older maintenance men are very friendly, but they have a younger kid who is very arrogant. They don't answer their on call phone EVER, and you can't leave a message. They don't plow until 5 days after a storm, so if you don't have a 4x4, you will miss work. And salt is obviously not in their budget. Don't even consider this place. Not a good place to raise children. Management also doesn't respond to complaints. Apparently, they're too busy keeping up with all their citations with the city inspector's office. read more

I have been a resident here for almost 2 years now. Recently, new management has taken over and I couldn't be happier. It's obvious they take pride in their jobs and they want their residents happy. Since new management has taken over, the overall appearance of the complex has improved from the roads getting redone (fully, not just patched up), maintenance fixes any issue within 24 hours (or sooner!), and the customer service of their workers (especially Wendy) has improved significantly. I have been late in paying rent and they have worked with me every single time, no questions asked. Honestly, I wasn't happy at all moving in here 2 years ago because of the rude, careless workers and inconsideration for their residents/complex. But now that new management has taken over, I plan on staying for as long as I can :) nice job meadowood, I applaud you!! It's so nice to know these people actually care and take pride in their jobs. Keep up the good work!! read more
