After the work was "completed" he contacted my wife for final payment. She paid him in full, much to my dismay, and there was plenty of things that had not been finished. I tried to contact Mike to discuss things that were missed, he would not answer his phone. He sent me a text to let me know that this is how he was going to communicate with me. Ok, odd but I texted him back with open concerns. Asked him to come to my house to see what was left behind, he refused.....Told me to send him pictures and if he felt that there was a reason to come down that he would. Once again, odd. So I sent him several pictures of sloppy work, unfinished work and things that needed to be addressed. No response. I called him, he answered and told me that he now had to rent a pressure cleaner to remove paint from patio, driveway and walkway, Also that if I wanted to pay more he could have covered the plants and foliage but he felt that I wouldn't have due to the "great deal" he had already given me. He proceeded to tell me that I was being unreasonable and he was now done with my house. If anyone is interested I have the entire text chain available and all of the pics as well. Buyer beware with Mike.....Great at starting jobs...not great at finishing.

They have done a couple of projects for me so far and its been hands down the best experience. Glenn always makes himself available, works with top notch sub-contractors who he's known for years. His team of subcontractors are all just as professional and and reliable as he is. The difference with Glenn and Griffin is that they are present for each and every job; they don't send a random crew. They are on site all day, every day with their sleeves rolled up to get the job done. They are always conscious of the fact that this is your home and leave the place spotless at the end of each day. Given the quality of work and service, their prices are also very fair. Finding a contractor who is honest and trustworthy always seemed like a golden unicorn but we have found this in Glenn and Griffin. Aside from their impeccable work, they are both genuinely one of the nicest people I have ever met. How many people can say they want to hug their contractor and take them out for a drink? There is a reason why almost every house on my block has used them, not once but multiple times. I can't recommend them enough.

Around a year and a half ago my wife and I were deciding whether to sell our house and upgrade or build upon our existing starter home (a small ranch). After checking out and being disappointed with a lot of houses in our price range we decided to explore building up and renovating our existing home. It was then that we contacted GJP Contracting to get an idea of what we could do, how much it would be, what the timeline would be, etc. Little did we know, this conversation would also be the prologue to the story of how we now live in our dream home. From our first discussion with Glenn, we could tell he was experienced, knowledgeable, fair, and most importantly honest. He recommended we contact an architect, a colleague of his, to get things started and take it from there. From the initial drawings to when we broke ground in early 2017 flew by. As the house started to take shape, Glenn met with us EVERY step of the way, kept in frequent contact with us, and let us know how everything was going. This gave my wife and I an enormous sense of comfort, which you need when you drive past your house and see the roof missing and the walls being knocked down! Throughout the process he was able to provide recommendations for literally everything we needed. This includes, but is not limited to bathroom fixtures and vanities, tiles, flooring, painting, exterior design, windows, etc. Needless to say, ALL of those things came out absolutely perfect. Due to the work going so smoothly, we actually decided to dip into our rainy day fund and do a bit extra to truly transform our little starter ranch into a dream home. By the time we were done with the project we turned out 2 Bedroom 1 Bath 1050 sq. foot rambler ranch with an eat-in kitchen into a 3 Bedroom, 3 Bath 2200 sq. foot home with a dining room, play room, master suite with raised ceiling, walk-in closets, and office. Glenn and Griffin are TRULY miracle workers. Oh...and did I mention he completed all the work within an incredible amount of time? I recently saw Glenn and he asked what thought of the house and the work of GJP Contracting and only 1 word really came to mind - perfection. Best contractor in NJ - you cannot go wrong with GJP.

I have worked with Gaudioso Contracting on several successful projects. One of the first jobs we worked on together was when Anthony Gaudioso's team rebuilt the street facade of a row house in BedStuy, Brooklyn, for me. His guys first got to the bottom of what had been done incorrectly by the previous cheapo contractor. They started by removing the other guys' mistakes. Anthony's guys then rebuilt the 3-storey street facade and stoop, created a fanlight over the entry door, ran appropriate wiring for new sconces that would flank the parlor-level entry way and illuminate the garden level entrance. They made sure to waterproof it all thoroughly. When the exterior was watertight, they then repaired the fairly extensive inside water damage. The finish facade, which had been approved by public hearing before the Landmarks Preservation Commission, was going to be a faux-brownstone stucco. When the client had purchased the row house, the street facade was covered in a multicolored, faux flagstone slathered on top of the wood building structure. The new finish facade required a new application of stucco as a faux-brownstone. Gaudioso Contracting provided several different color samples of the stucco finish (matched to other brownstones on the block), and as well as, color samples of alternative window colors, and entry door colors, for the Landmarks inspector's approval. As part of the stucco application process, they built up the elegant window and entry door surround details to satisfy the Landmarks Preservation Commission's inspector. They also brought in Adler Windows to replace all the water-damaged, crumbling, wooden double-hung windows with new thermal paned, powder coated, aluminum windows with appropriate brick molding to satisfy the Landmarks inspector. Gaudioso Contracting also built, painted and installed a replica of the neighboring brownstone's cornice which Landmarks approved. Their work was terrific. Each phase of the work moved smoothly and had expertly skilled craftsmen who specialized in the particular aspect of the job in hand at the time. They were on time and on budget. I was delighted with their reliability, responsiveness and professionalism.
