After the work was "completed" he contacted my wife for final payment. She paid him in full, much to my dismay, and there was plenty of things that had not been finished. I tried to contact Mike to discuss things that were missed, he would not answer his phone. He sent me a text to let me know that this is how he was going to communicate with me. Ok, odd but I texted him back with open concerns. Asked him to come to my house to see what was left behind, he refused.....Told me to send him pictures and if he felt that there was a reason to come down that he would. Once again, odd. So I sent him several pictures of sloppy work, unfinished work and things that needed to be addressed. No response. I called him, he answered and told me that he now had to rent a pressure cleaner to remove paint from patio, driveway and walkway, Also that if I wanted to pay more he could have covered the plants and foliage but he felt that I wouldn't have due to the "great deal" he had already given me. He called at 8:14 a.m. to say he'd be late, and his employee finally arrived after 12:35 p.m. My general contractor and I explained the system was clogged and needed to be snaked, but Scott's employee disagreed. When I got Scott on the phone, he was rude and defended his employee's incorrect assessment. Rather than diagnose the real problem, he simply wanted to pump the tanks for $500--something that wasn't even needed. Disgusted by the lack of professionalism, I immediately called Ron from D&R Septic Services. He returned my call in 10 minutes, arrived the next day, and immediately identified the correct issue: a clog that needed to be snaked. Ron was honest, telling me the tank was at the perfect level and didn't need pumping. He refused to take my money for unnecessary work. D&R Septic Services has earned my business for life. They are honest, punctual, and experts in their field. Septic Medic's poor service and disrespectful attitude have cost them a long-term customer.
