They showed up on time and were ready to go. I made a small change to the install. They told me they could do it and it was only $50 more. Very appreciative of the work they done. Now i will not have to worry about my computers tripping breakers all the time. My main system if fully up and running will use over 1300 watts. That is why my breakers kept tripping. I asked them to use 10aug wiring for the new plugins. with 20amp breakers. Which would seem like over kill to some people but for me it's future proofing in case I have to shift to 240 plug ins at 30 amps. I would not hesitate to hire this company again in the future which will be down the road.

Technicians came out to fix it in about 30 minutes & indicated it was a loose wire issue. May 27th, same issue. No AC in Texas heat, "No power to rh wire detected," on the Nest display. Today, May 28th, technicians came out to fix the loose wire. Hours later, the AC is out AGAIN- same day. I texted and message this company over 3 hours ago, and zero response. Now I'm thoroughly convinced they just don't know what the issue is or how to solve it. I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

We quickly narrowed down that replacing Condensers outside and Evaporator Coils in the attic is the best option. Nitro provided very competitive quote for 16 SEER rating Trane and Amana units. The quoted price was much lower than other quotes I was getting. Nitro also stated that Amana product comes with the Lifetime warranty, though I was not quite sure exactly what it meant. I thought it was a bit hard to believe. I then asked to provide me the model numbers for the units and warranty information. After looking up the model numbers provided it turned out that Train unit had 14.8 SEER rating, not 16 as quoted, while Amana rated 15.2 SEER. Also, on Amana site the warranty stated as 10 year limited. I texted Nitro to get clarification. That's when things went slow and silent. I was still very exited about the quoted price, even with lower ratings, and sent a couple more requests for clarification. No answer. I tried to call a couple of times, no one was answering. Four days passed since original contact and I started to suspect that Nitro is backing out and ignoring my text/calls. I then called Nitro from my wife's phone and they answered right away. I hung up and two minutes later called from my phone again, no answer. I then knew I am being avoided and sent Nitro a polite text stating that if they don't want my business because I am asking for details on the quote they provided they can just say so and retract the quote rather then giving me run around, and I am planning to post a review on my experience with them. I immediately got a call back apologizing for the delay due to him just getting off the plane due to family emergency etc. I told him I am about to approve the work with another contractor but still like his quote better even with lower SEER rating, but need to see warranty policy document. He promised to send it. 3 days has past since then, no warranty document or any other follow up. I ended up using another service provider.

They then tell me it'll be 24-48 hours to get approval from AHS (as much as that sucks, I get it and I can't blame them for that). Now the part where I give 1 star. They came back out Thursday, replaced the wire and capacitor. Tell me the system is repaired. I hear the fan blowing and assume they were telling me the truth. I come home from work later that day and it's 82 degrees on the thermostat, and the condenser isn't even on. I submit new request to have them come back out. I get follow up e-mail from AHS saying if I have question to call the service company. I call at 8am the next morning and have to leave a voicemail asking for callback. Then by 4pm I still haven't heard back so I call to follow up. Again, voicemail. For a "service" company to not have someone to answer phones, or at least call someone back within a reasonable amount of time, this company is lacking. Now we are most likely looking at having to wait until next week to get them to come back and try to fix it again, only to have to wait for another approval. Update: They came out Saturday and now they are telling me there's a micro leak in the system and it's low on freon. I ask how much is needed to top it off and they tell me 5 pounds. 5 pounds is not a micro leak, escpecially since they "repaired" it 2 days prior. I start questioning why they didn't notice the pressure issue 2 days ago on Thursday and asked if they even put their gauges on the system and they said yes, the system was fine on Thursday. They then try to tell me it's perfectly normal and common for people to top off their system 1-2 pounds a year. I know this is not true and because AHS only covers $10 per pound, they want to charge me $400 to charge up the system. I get it now, they don't make money on the service call so they'll upsell you refrigerant to cover their cost and make a killing. I question that since if it lost 5 pounds then there's a leak and it's just going to leak out again. They concede that I'm right and they will have to get back with AHS to get approval to replace the coil now. Not once did they mention replacing the coil until I questioned why I would charge it up if it's that big of a leak. I get their estimate back the next Monday and they claim only $645 is covered by AHS, but my cost to R Harris is $2,729 (which includes 10 pounds of refrigerant, $800 - because apparently they don't recapture the 5 pounds the system still has or they do but they want to charge me for what I already have). I know they can get 25 pounds for $150-$200 and they want to sell me 5 pounds for $450? Of course they want to charge up all 10 pounds for $800 since they gouge you on that cost. It wouldn't surprise me with that kind of profit, that they do this to a lot people and have them top off the refrigerant, only for it to leak out and have them top it off again before suggesting a repair. I question why only $650 is covered and R Harris is claiming there's construction costs and modifications which aren't covered by the plan. Long story short, don't trust these guys or AHS.

Edit: Since the business decided to publicly call me incompetent and say I am lying, I've attached the proof. Same company, same job, different quotes. It's fine to charge what they want, but the terrible customer service followed by petty name calling is enough to NEVER consider this company. Edit 2: Full disclosure, both of the projects were submitted BY ME for ME. How could the scopes of work be different when I submitted both (I was accidentally logged in on another account)? And if they were different for some reason, the company could've explained why instead of ignoring it and stooping to name calling (they deleted where they called me "incompetent." ) TL;DR - find someone else, this company is sketchy and unprofessional.
