He asked good questions, measured my pupil distance, noted that my eyes functioned independently and made necessary adjustments. He can order lenses with just picture of frame and your prescription. Then it just takes him less than half an hour to grind the lenses to fit. He's been in business over 30 years. I live in Elk Grove and it was just a quick 30 minute drive. He is committed to doing the best possible work, it was so refreshing to find someone honest, and who cared about what they were doing. Highly recommend!

Very poor customer service. I'm 77. Worn glasses since 6…read moreand this is never happened to me. I also managed an optometric corporation for 20 years. Was a new patient, had new glasses made, could not leave them on for more than 45 minutes. I returned they corrected the prescription through an additional exam and remade the Glasses. I still could not see out of them. No problem with my eyes because I can still see fine out of my old glasses they just aren't quite strong enough. They needed a little more strength. After the second time and two round trips for a very long drive to get to them, I returned the lenses and asked for a refund. VSP my insurance company has reinstated my eye exam, and also the benefits for me to remake the lenses. But I had $230 in overages and the office is unwilling to refund those to me even though I have returned the lenses to them. I asked the office manager to please talk with the doctor. She said she would but never called me back. Now when I tried to call it says that the phone number I'm dialing is not receiving any calls from me so I guess they have a way to block me from Calling. I'm going back to my old doctor in San Jose, which is a very, very long way from my home to have a new eye exam. I was planning to ask them if I could bring that new prescription into their office and have their lab make up the lenses again, so I wouldn't be out my overages but now I'm unable to reach them.

I went here because I just needed a quick eye exam to get contacts. It was weird but bearable. All the staff is a bit weird and unprofessional and seem to not know what's going on. I wait 2 weeks and no one every called me for an upstate when they said it'd take a week. I call and they said oh they just came in right now. Not only was my request denied but they didn't even have any appointments for an eye exam till April to try and remedy the slightly outdated prescription. I understand they may have some rules to abide by but to have some decency and consideration for the situation would have gone a lot further.
