Our instructor, Martin, was funny, informative, and insightful. I learned more about archery in those first 15 minutes than I had in my entire life. He was very directive about what was important to employ in terms of technique, things to look out for (like when retrieving your arrow or if you happen to drop one, and your quill could accidentally become a hazard), and where to keep focus. I think my target speaks volumes for how well they make sure you understand what you're doing. I only wish that I could have taken more pictures and video, but it wasn't clear whether or not we could, and I didn't want to introduce a potential hazard (to them or myself). Great experience. Would love to go back!

They were really patient and helped everyone learn the basics and even improve throughout the course of the 2 hours. After the instruction, they turned on the blacklights and we got competitive and played a few games. Overall, such a great experience; 10 out of 10 would recommend; 5 stars; no notes! This was his first time trying archery, and my first time since I was a Girl Scout so my first time too LOL. Anywho, our instructor Berny was very knowledgeable and intentional about providing us with a safe, yet, enjoyable experience. Date night classes can fill up to 8 guest total--however there was only one other couple there when we went so it was still pretty intimate. They also offer complimentary refreshments which was nice because I love me some chai tea lol. Also, since doing this class we both now qualify for open range since we've been through the safety protocols and have an idea of how to shoot an arrow now. Can't wait to come back and practice what I learned--Definitely a fun sport, but also a great survival skill to have.

We walked in, and…read morewe were able to book an hour beginner lesson/rental ($35pp, cash only) that was starting in less than 30m. They have a small seating area where you can wait and watch other shoot in the meantime. There's a jacket rack in the hallway and a bathroom available. The staff there was very sweet and welcoming, and our instructor, whose name I didn't catch (tall, long hair), was a great teacher in going through safety and the basics & giving pointers and answering questions! Our lesson just had around 4 people total to begin with, and then 2 joined later, which seemed decent (since you have to wait until the last person clears shooting before we all grab our arrows again). After you're finished, you have the option to take your target sheet with you if you'd like a small momento! It was such a fun experience for me personally and a great date night place. Would definitely do it again and recommend it, especially for anyone who wants to try out archery!

Awesome staff, fun activity, great spot. If it's your first time, you get to do a super-fun introductory class (that's accessible to everyone of all ages and levels of athleticism - including "basically none") that teaches you the basics while also keeping it really entertaining with mini-competitions and such. Definitely a great group activity to try out with friends / family. After doing the intro lesson, you're free to sign up any time afterwards for your own private lane to practice in for 1-2 hours or so (bumping you up from a 5-yard distance from your target to a 10-yard one) - and the staff will keep checking in on you and giving you pointers and suggestions to improve your game. Speaking of which, they're all super friendly and knowledgeable - Nas, Ace, Simon and the rest, all great guys with lots of patience and sunny dispositions. It's roughly $35 for 1 hour of use of the space and to rent out a bow and some arrows (and the extra coaching is free) - a very reasonable deal in NYC. My wife and I have been coming back at least twice a month since the Winter and we've had a blast every visit. Super fun to watch yourself progress and get more and more accurate too. And as an added bonus, it's smack dab in the middle of Chinatown - tons of great spots to eat at around here, after an hour of archery. Would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting or living here.

I came here on a Saturday afternoon for a 90 minute class, actual shooting time is probably about only 10-15 min total as there are about 12-14 of us so need to share and rotate the targets. Plus there was a regular class right before us that they start only 30 min before us so that means more waiting in between the shooting. The instructors are very skilled however and knew what they were talking about and they take safety very seriously so I felt safe the whole time and didn't have any urges to mess around :-) Location is inside a church in the gymnasium area, if you get lost just ask the people around and they will guide you nicely to the archery area. I had a great time here and is seriously considering coming back again should there be anymore groupon deals~
