Did their first timers class for $65 at 8pm on a Sunday night and was able to be the only group. Our instructor, Lawrence, was a great teacher and had the perfect competition playlist. We also won a bag of coffee beans! The facility was nice and clean. It's cheaper when you come back after doing the first timer's class. We'll be back!

I am always up for anything adventurous. Life is too short not to do something that is out of your comfort zone. I can check archery off my bucket list now. The warehouse-like facility is very spacious and well set up, check in and sign your waiver by scanning the barcode. Instructor Ray, will give a quick intro on the dos and don'ts and then set you up on which number station you will be shooting from. You will study your bow and get a feel of it in your hand. He will make sure you hold it correctly before you take your first aim in the practice round. Archery is a precision sport, the moment when I finally hit that bullseye...I felt little badass. My favorite round was when they put up 3 balloons on each of our targets. My competitive streak came out. Once he gave the go ahead, "the line is clear", it felt amazing to be the first one to pop all 3 of the balloons on my target against 6 others. The hard part for me was drawing that string. Ray said it's equivalent to pulling 20 pounds. I lost count how many rounds we got to shoot but towards the end of the 1 1/2 hour session, my fingers gave out and I didn't aim as well. Both my arms and shoulders are still sore as I am writing this review. But it's a good kind of soreness because I know I got a good workout from it. Special thanks to Ray, who was super patient. He took the time to teach each of the participants in our group on how to improve with each shot/round. If you pay attention to what he tells you, your shots will improve. I enjoyed learning all the terminology as well. We had a blast. I might not be Katniss Everdeen but knowing how to handle a bow and arrow will come in handy if we are ever under a zombie attack. I've got this.

Oh boy that was fun! Master Ray is a great teacher. You just learn so much in a short amount of time and have tons of fun. Will be coming back with friends!

Love that there is an archery place in the city. My friends and I came and had a great time. learned something new and now we are addicted. I highly recommend coming here with a large group. It's more fun. Friendly service and awesome background music.

From the great instruction was able to get my arrow through the cup

This place is awesome. The staff and instructor are nice and patient. They really take their time and help you which I think is a plus. We went on the couples date one so there were us and three other couples. We played fun games and just had an overall great experience. I would definitely recommend this place. Can't wait to come back!

Our instructor, Martin, was funny, informative, and insightful. I learned more about archery in those first 15 minutes than I had in my entire life. He was very directive about what was important to employ in terms of technique, things to look out for (like when retrieving your arrow or if you happen to drop one, and your quill could accidentally become a hazard), and where to keep focus. I think my target speaks volumes for how well they make sure you understand what you're doing. I only wish that I could have taken more pictures and video, but it wasn't clear whether or not we could, and I didn't want to introduce a potential hazard (to them or myself). Great experience. Would love to go back!

They decorated the space with balloons and confetti, which was a nice touch :) We had two instructors because of the size of our group and they were both AWESOME. They were really patient and helped everyone learn the basics and even improve throughout the course of the 2 hours. After the instruction, they turned on the blacklights and we got competitive and played a few games. Overall, such a great experience; 10 out of 10 would recommend; 5 stars; no notes! Can't wait to go back for a lane rental (this counts as an intro class!).

Unfortunately, our experience since then has been very disappointing. During regular lessons, Jon rarely leaves his desk to actively supervise or instruct the archers. Much of his time is spent working on equipment at his table rather than providing hands-on coaching or meaningful feedback to students. In addition, his communication style can feel overly combative and inflexible. Most concerning, he adjusted a piece of my child's equipment to the point that it was damaged beyond use, forcing us to purchase a replacement with costly overnight shipping in order to be prepared for an upcoming competition. If you're simply looking for range time and a place to practice -- which can be hard to find -- X-Ring may meet that need. However, if you are seeking consistent, engaged, and effective instruction, this was not our experience.
