10/10 experience let me just start there! My honey treated me out for couples night at Philly Archery as we've been trying to get into doing more activity based dates. This was his first time trying archery, and my first time since I was a Girl Scout so my first time too LOL. Anywho, our instructor Berny was very knowledgeable and intentional about providing us with a safe, yet, enjoyable experience. Date night classes can fill up to 8 guest total--however there was only one other couple there when we went so it was still pretty intimate. They also offer complimentary refreshments which was nice because I love me some chai tea lol. Also, since doing this class we both now qualify for open range since we've been through the safety protocols and have an idea of how to shoot an arrow now. Can't wait to come back and practice what I learned--Definitely a fun sport, but also a great survival skill to have. read more

Based on the way hatchet throwing went a few weeks ago I was eager to try something else new like that. One of my friends suggested this spot. I think it's the only place in city proper. I fooled with bows and arrows growing up but I was just trying to hit the broad side of a barn. I wasn't aiming for anything. I really wanted to be good at this. So we came in for our booking and got Evan as our instructor. You should've seen my first two ends as he was giving me pointers compared to the ones where I started doing what he suggested. It seemed like simple stuff but it was very easy to mimic and like I said there was almost immediate improvement. I'd love to do private lessons if they offer them. I checked the site and didn't see the option. I had a really great time and can't wait to go again. This might be my new hobby. I hope it wasn't just Evan's influence that helped me hit the target. I hope I can recreate the miracle. read more

Did their first timers class for $65 at 8pm on a Sunday night and was able to be the only group. Our instructor, Lawrence, was a great teacher and had the perfect competition playlist. We also won a bag of coffee beans! The facility was nice and clean. It's cheaper when you come back after doing the first timer's class. We'll be back! read more

I am always up for anything adventurous. Life is too short not to do something that is out of your comfort zone. I can check archery off my bucket list now. The warehouse-like facility is very spacious and well set up, check in and sign your waiver by scanning the barcode. Instructor Ray, will give a quick intro on the dos and don'ts and then set you up on which number station you will be shooting from. You will study your bow and get a feel of it in your hand. He will make sure you hold it correctly before you take your first aim in the practice round. Archery is a precision sport, the moment when I finally hit that bullseye...I felt little badass. My favorite round was when they put up 3 balloons on each of our targets. My competitive streak came out. Once he gave the go ahead, "the line is clear", it felt amazing to be the first one to pop all 3 of the balloons on my target against 6 others. The hard part for me was drawing that string. Ray said it's equivalent to pulling 20 pounds. I lost count how many rounds we got to shoot but towards the end of the 1 1/2 hour session, my fingers gave out and I didn't aim as well. Both my arms and shoulders are still sore as I am writing this review. But it's a good kind of soreness because I know I got a good workout from it. Special thanks to Ray, who was super patient. He took the time to teach each of the participants in our group on how to improve with each shot/round. If you pay attention to what he tells you, your shots will improve. I enjoyed learning all the terminology as well. We had a blast. I might not be Katniss Everdeen but knowing how to handle a bow and arrow will come in handy if we are ever under a zombie attack. We went on the couples date one so there were us and three other couples. We played fun games and just had an overall great experience. I would definitely recommend this place. I had a great time here last weekend at the recommendation of a friend. My husband and I took the intro class. I accidentally signed us up for the wrong date on their website, and they were accommodating and able to fit us in when we arrived. The training was fun and informative. I really appreciated the tips the instructors gave us as far as correctly holding the bow and learning classic archery form. For practice time during the session we played some games which kept things interesting. My husband and I shoot lefty which I think is less common. Just make sure to call in advance to let them know if you're left-handed. I can't wait to visit again! We are hooked! read more

Came here for a 1 hr urban archer session with my girlfriend this past Friday with zero prior experience and had a ton of fun! Our instructor, Ray, was amazing. For example, after receiving just a few, quick suggestions from him, I was able to dramatically increase both my shot precision and accuracy, getting MUCH closer to the bull's eye and even popping a balloon.
