I've had Savannah do my eyebrows for several years. She's been great, efficient and I appreciate the good value.

I am pretty fond of this little spot. And I am happy to report that now that it is under new management, the same standards are upheld as before. Since it's just one client at a time, it's easy to pop in and out, no waiting. Last time I went, I left with perfect brows (shape/color) and smooth legs. I can honestly say the waxing was not painful. Thank you, Wax Loft - see you again soon! read more

Savannah is so amazing!! I have gone to her for multiple different services including eyebrow wax and tint, as well as leg and underarm waxes. She has done an amazing job with each service and always creates such a fun and comfortable environment! Would absolutely recommend!! read more

Kaitlyn has offered exceptional service time and time again! I don't regularly get my bikini or armpits waxed. My last visit a few weeks back was in prep to make a very long STP bicycle ride more comfortable. The space has been recently repainted and fixed up. Kaitlyn is very fast and thorough. She is a very kind person, to make the whole experience more comfortable. The only thing that would make it more comforting of a visit is if there was a curtain for undressing/dressing. There used to be one, but with the lil remodel I didn't notice one. I highly recommend Kaitlyn! read more

2/13/22 Recently visited Wax Loft for eyebrow waxing and was very impressed with the experience. Kaitlyn is great- happy with my eyebrows and her customer service is exceptional. I booked more appts with her and highly recommend. 2/19/23 *Follow-up review: returned for more waxing appts (armpits, Brazilian, leg & booty) with Kaitlyn and impressed once again. She is so lovely and very good at what she does. Very thorough with her waxing, which I really appreciate. She even came in on her day off just to accommodate my request for a Sunday appt. Kaitlyn is amazing & has the best customer service I've probably ever experienced, especially nowadays. read more

I've been getting waxed by miss Savannah Untalan and oh my gosh I would give 10 stars if I could. From our first appointment she's been so consistently attentive to anything that would affect the experience. She often checks up on me to see how I'm feeling about the temperature which is something I appreciate soooo much. She's incredibly sweet and just really really great at what she does. I've recommended her to a few coworkers and friends so if you're reading the reviews to see if you should go for it here, I would absolutely recommend her. read more

I got my eyebrows microbladed in May and had a touch up about two weeks ago. Honestly, I did not need a touch up because they did not look sparse at all (which a lot of people have problem with when they get microbladed the first time), but I wanted mine to have a bit more thicker tails. Iulia was so accommodating and absolutely amazing at her work. She made sure I was comfortable and perfectly happy with my brows! My eyebrows were one of my biggest insecurities because they are very uneven and sparse. But After getting microbladed, I feel much more confident, and I get ready in the morning so much quicker because I don't have to spend time trying to fill and even out my brows. If you have been debating on getting this treatment, I say just do it - with Iulia - because it is so worth it. Thank you Iulia for the amazing brows! read more

This place has really great reviews so I thought this would be a promising new brow and bikini waxing salon. I was extremely disappointed in Lulia eyebrow waxing skills. I have thick brows with a smooth arch. I told Lulia I wanted to keep my eyebrows "THICKNESS AND SHAPE, JUST A CLEANUP" (verbatim). When I looked at my waxed eyebrows they were paper thin. They looked like 90's brow with a super pointed arch. I was extremely upset and Lulia apologized. She said "next time she will leave them thicker". Unfortunately, I will never go back there to give her another opportunity. I am a bare face girl due to my busy schedule so I rely on nicely groomed brows. I had to draw my eyebrows on for 3 months until they started to grow back. The Brazilian wax was just okay. They have soft wax and the hard wax. I was also a little disappointed in the Brazilian wax since there was some hair left behind. I paid for a brow wax and a Brazilian wax even though Lulia could see how upset I was. Looking back I wish I didn't pay for the brow service since they looked so terrible. read more

This review is long overdue! I had my eyebrows microbladed by Iulia about 6 weeks ago and it was hands down the best microblading experience I've had to date! I've gone to places in NY and LA and nothing compares! I was looking for a new place in the area and after reading her reviews decided to give it a go. She is fantastic! The process was way faster than I expected and PAINLESS! 6 weeks in they are looking better than I've ever had! Thank you Iulia! read more

I'm not going to any other esthetician after finding wax loft tbh. It's a great location and space and my wax always ends up PERFECTTT. If you live in the Pearl or alphabet, wax loft is a MUST, and if you live elsewhere in town I 100% think it's worth traveling for as well. Perfect brazilians are hard to find lol read more

It's my duty to make the appointments for my girlfriends monthly eye brow waxing. This time I wanted to try a new place out so I decided to book an appointment with Wax Loft. It was the day of our appointment so we decided to arrive 15 minutes early. Upon entering this hidden gem I was astonished at the quality of equipment I could witness from the entry way; compared to European Wax I definitely saw the transparency and authenticity of this business compared to the franchise. My girlfriend was very pleased that her appointment was honored at the scheduled time as well. I waited on the couch for a little while until the process was complete, and WOW. I am very pleased how my girlfriends eyebrows came out. The whole experience was wonderful. Thank you read more

Let me start by saying how astonished I am by the rude treatment of Kaitlynn. I had an appt. at 11:30 and was parked out front dealing with a family emergency on the phone. I ran to the front door 6 minutes past my start time and it was locked. I knocked and when Kaitlynn opened it, she just stared at me. I told her I had an 11:30 waxing appt. She replied by saying "yeah, I just sent you a text. I have a 7 minute late policy so you're going to have to reschedule." I looked at my phone and it was 11:37. I showed it to her and said "its 11:37 now?". I explained to her that I was sorry I got stuck on a call with a family emergency, and she just said "you're going to have to reschedule". I am always respectful of people's time and am almost never late, so I do understand the inconvenience of not showing up on time. But I was getting an arm wax, which most likely would not have taken the full allotted hour. I also would have been willing to compromise with a half arm wax, but it wasn't even up for discussion because she was so incredibly rude. Let me finish by saying: 1) If you have such a strict policy and are going to automatically cancel your client, you should mention that on your website. (I am still waiting to see if she has the audacity to charge me even though I was there within your 7 minute window that isn't even communicated to clients). 2) If you are going to work in the service industry, then you should consider how you treat people. 3) You never know what people are going through in life, so a little kindness and grace goes a long way. 4) I was looking for a waxing place that I could frequent on a very regular basis, so it is unfortunate that this place was willing to lose $ for a mere 30 seconds of time. read more

Waxes are never all that painless, and I was coming in long overdue after leaving year-round bathing suit season behind in my move up from LA. Luckily, my experience with Aimee went great. She used both soft and hard waxes, her technique was spot-on, and she was chit-chatty enough to keep me distracted thruout the whole process. I came out of the appointment just buzzing to my husband about sweet she is. The single-service space is decked out really nicely and cleanly, and it's super convenient to the NS streetcar right on Lovejoy. Will be happy to go back and support her business! read more

I never write review but I just had to because if you've been thinking of microblading your eyebrows then I say DO IT and don't just go anywhere, go to wax loft!! Having my eyebrows microbladed at wax loft was one of the best things I've invested it! Iulia does an amazing job, knows what she's doing and is super friendly. Her location is cute and she makes you feel comfortable and talks to you to figure out what you want and won't start the process until your happy with the outline of the look that she will be doing! I had eyebrows but I wanted them darker, a longer tail end, and a better shape and she did exactly that! I've gotten so many compliments from coworkers and friends, many of them got theirs done also at wax loft and they couldn't be happier either! I spent countless hours doing my eyebrows and buying eyebrow products but now I just wake up and am ready to go! read more

Honestly I was so nervous get a Brazilian for the first time but kaitlyn was so kind and very reassuring. She made sure to explain everything she was going to do and made great conversation to help keep me occupied. She also made herself available if I had any questions or concerns with aftercare. I'll definitely be coming back. read more

I booked an appointment with Iulia after I heard great things about her! I also used the $25 for $50 deal from here. I got my first Brazilian wax and I'm so glad I chose her. She made sure I was comfortable and talked to me through out the whole thing. I guess I have a high pain tolerance because I was laughing through some of the painful spots. I am impressed with the professionalism and the friendliness. Will definitely return here! Parking was easy to find across the street. The appointment took less than half an hour. The place itself was nice and clean! read more

I was able to book same day for wax + tint on my brows which apparently is hard to do in the NW/downtown area. My eyebrows look fantastic. Thank you! :-) read more

Esthetician: Lulia (Pronounced Yoo-LeeYah) She's so cute!! All the awesome things about my first time visiting Wax Loft: -Plenty of street parking in front of the little boutique shop -Personal and private service in their boutique -Very clean -They use hard wax (which is my favorite type of wax) -Lulia has perfect technique -Lulia was super friendly and pleasant to talk to which helped keep me distracted, but not too chatty that I felt tired afterwards -She was very thorough and it was over before I knew it! I will be returning regularly-- so happy with my service with Lulia. read more

Love this girl. I've had many a waxes (Brazilian, specifically), and none do it better than Carissa. By nature, a Brazilian wax is not the most comfortable area to have waxed (for those of us who are modest, especially,) but she is AWESOME at making you feel relaxed and comfortable through the whole process. Very professional, kind, and easy to talk to. She recently moved to a new place and has her own little "loft" now. There's an elevator on the backside of the building to get to her place on the second floor. The building is pretty humble, but don't let it deter you. I've been many places and she's the best! read more

Just ok - eyelash extensions were sparse and didn't stay on longer than two weeks despite my dedication with keeping them clean and dry. I've since seen friends with crazy gorgeous lashes from other places and they last longer and look fuller. I loved them for the first two weeks - for the price they should have lasted longer it seems. Also when I arrived on time to my appointment on a freezing Saturday morning I was told to wait outside or come back in ten minutes. What?? When she finally finished with her previous appointment and let me in she left to go to the building next door to use the ladies. Turns out this place is very literally a hole in the wall - no facilities to speak of. One room with a curtain. Very cheap appearance. read more

This is seriously the best place in Portland for a Brazilian wax. Even without the yelp deal- it's still probably the best deal in town! I go to Carissa. She's a real pro and makes a really painful and grueling procedure not-bad at all. I will def be back for any waxing service in the future! read more

Down-to-earth and professional! I need to start off by saying that I'm not really into spending a ridiculous amount of time primping or a ridiculous amount of money on my face. The idea of going to a beauty salon usually makes me anxious. But once in awhile, I like to splurge and get all dolled up. After finding Carissa, I find myself thinking up "excuses" on why I need a waxing. And, it doesn't hurt that her prices and specials are great! My first experience was so relaxed and refreshing. Carissa takes the time to get to know your needs: for your skin and your personality. I've recommended this business to friends who've recommended it to their friends. I'm scared to go to a new place with the fear that it won't be so pleasant. I moved to Canada for a few years and am happy to be back for a waxin'. read more

Kaitlyn is amazing! I go to her for all my Brazilian (wax) needs, she's so fast and thorougho, she has me in and out the door in 15min!

I feel terrible I didn't write a review sooner. I've been to Wax Loft three times now. Each time has been better than the last - which is saying a lot because the first time was amazing. I've seen both Carissa and Aimee now. While they each have their own style and technique, they both do amazing work. I've never felt so comfortable getting waxed! They're friendly, patient, and passionate about what they do. Awesome ladies! Yesterday, I meet with Carissa for the first time. She took the time to ask about my routines and skin type/care. I think it made all the difference in my comfort and the final product. She had such great advice about skin care that I'll definitely be keeping in mind. This place does fantastic work in a cute, relaxing environment with the least amount discomfort possible - great conversation and a few laughs don't hurt either :) I'll definitely be getting the package going forward. If you need a great wax for a reasonable price and have any apprehension or nervousness, this is the place to go to put your mind and body at ease. read more

Wax loft is a great small business in NW and a great place to get waxed. Aimee was super sweet and chatty while doing my Brazilian. She used both the regular soft wax and hard wax for areas that are more sensitive. She was great at constantly checking in with me about the wax temperature and my comfort. She really tries to get to know you (I was even impressed when she remembered and spoke highly of the friend who referred me). The waxing experience was quick, relatively painless, affordable, and pleasant! read more

I love getting my wax done with iulia.. she Makes me feel very comfortable and is very gently when waxing . Love her work .

Carissa is amazing! I was using groupon to try out different places for waxes, and had previously visited a couple other places before discovering Carissa, so I feel like my opinion is objective. The other places were good, but there's something different about the service she offers - besides being affordable, professional, and very knowledgeable, she is extremely sweet, warm, and easy to talk to. It makes my whole waxing experience much easier & something to look forward to (besides a job very well done). I know my friends are shy about every getting a "down there" wax, but I would suggest Carissa to any and all - worth every cent and more. read more

I was not sure about having this done, but a friend encouraged me to do it. I know this is gonna sound crazy, but I didn't really do much research or think about it much. I went to my appointment and just let Iulia do what she thought looked best. At first they looked really dark. After about 10 days they settled in and they look great! She actually moved them up a bit, which is great for us over 50 ladies, because its kind of had a little "eye lift" effect. I'm very happy that I let her do what she thought would look best. read more

I can't think of the words to describe how wonderful of an experience I had with Elizabeth today. I went in for a Brazilian wax, expecting it to hurt tremendously, but she made it fun and as painless as possible. The place was small and comfortable, though slightly hidden away if you're not paying attention. I will definitely be going back and recommending Elizabeth to others. Great Experience, Great Price, Great Quality~ read more

Such a great experience! It was my first time getting waxed and Elizabeth was amazing! She was so careful as to make sure that I was comfortable and that my first experience wasn't terrifying. She went through step by step with what she was doing and was so gentle about it all. She was also really kind and funny, which made the experience a lot easier! I really liked the setting and that she was the only one that was working in the small space and that you didn't have to worry about other customer's coming in and out. Lots of attention on yourself, which is nice! I can't even think of one complaint. Booking the appointment same day was easy and quick and street parking wasn't too terrible either. Reasonably priced too, especially with the deal on here! I will be going back and recommending her to everyone! read more

Elizabeth is the best! She is thorough, patient, sweet, and funny. She's all about making you feel comfortable and that you are not traumatized by having hair ripped out of your tender parts. She's not about rushing people in and out of her door, she take her time becasue she care about her clients. You can tell she enjoys what she does. You have to put a fair amount of trust in someone that is going to putting wax on your lady/manly business (or other parts) and "yanking" it off, she is definitely someone you feel like you can trust. read more

Great waxing experience! Audra was so sweet and fun to talk to during this...not so typically fun experience. It really made the time (and some of the pain, although it really was not so painful) go by pretty quickly. Overall I felt very comfortable. I also loved that Audra was all about a woman loving her body regardless of how much hair is there or not, so she was not pushy about getting me to do anything that I might not have wanted to do. I also liked that she's very knowledgeable about hair, skin, and hair growth. I definitely look forward to coming back in four weeks!!! read more

Honestly the best waxing experience I've ever had at the wax loft. Usually waxing is never a pleasant or likable thing to do for me but Iulia, a wonderful esthetician, made my first experience here absolutely wonderful.
