I absolutely adore this place! I used to come regularly but due to moving to Tigard I didn't want to deal with the commute. After trying other places I'm happy to make the drive back to Sugar Me. I've been to both locations and all staff are so sweet and personable. Today I saw Kate who was seriously THE sweetest person I've ever met. I'm leaving soon for my honeymoon and she was genuinely excited for my new marriage and our honeymoon, as well as my dog and my plants :) I felt so comfortable with her and honestly didn't feel a thing when she waxed me. Worth the commute 100%! read more

Went to the Division Location to get my eyebrows and lip done. I had never been to Sugar Me before and had only ever gotten waxed before. The woman who helped me was very nice and made me feel comfortable. I told her I liked the thickness and overall shape of my eyebrows and just wanted to tidy them up. Unfortunately, I did not like the outcome of my brows. She thinned them down and I left still with hair in between my eyebrows. No one wants to leave with totally different eyebrows than they wanted. My take away is that if you've never tried "sugaring"- just stick with waxing. Ive had better experiences at other waxing locations and will continue to go back to them after my eyebrows grow back (lol). read more

Very friendly & thorough service. Definitely choose Sugaring over waxing! Service was quick, with great lighting so they can catch every last hair so you can feel truly beautiful! read more

The sugar doesn't hurt your skin like regular wax, Talya did a beautiful job sugaring and tinting just how I needed my brows;) read more

Sugar Me - Sugaring Near Me - Portland, Oregon

Sugaring is the only way to go in body hair removal. It's not painful, it's more effective and it works on shorter hair so you don't have to stop shaving for as much time before your appointment. In addition, the staff couldn't be nicer and more personable! Both locations are attractive, spotless clean places. read more

Glad appointments are quick, usually goes smoothly. All staff have been kind and professional. Building can get noisy when others are talking. I appreciate a cancellation policy when it makes sense and is used fairly. In my recent instance a new appointment time was posted and I booked 25hrs out, then realized I wouldn't make it so attempted to call about 23hrs out, but was still charged late cancellation. Risk with booking last minute I guess, just feels rigid since I called 2hrs after booking. read more

The owner, Kate, was kind enough to reach out to me after my tragic experience and invite me to return and see her personally. I finally made it down to Portland and scheduled an appointment for another round of the same services. Kate is friendly, kind and efficient. She's one of those business owners that truly care about their customers, and she is genuinely takes an interest in them as individuals. Her sugaring skills are also impressive. She got me in and out in no time and the results are perfection! I had a completely different experience at Sugar Me the second time around, and I greatly appreciate an owner's sincere interest in their customer's happiness. Simply put, Kate is amazing and I'm definitely coming back. read more

This is hands down the best place to get sugar'd in PDX! Staff is friendly, both locations are super cute, and the results are amazing. I have been going here for years and am hooked! 10/10! read more

Pooooouuurrr soooomme sugar on me! The girls here are the BOMB.com!!! Pretty, nice and customer oriented ladies, they truly know how make you hairy days long gone by making it slicker and smoother. Traveling constantly, I needed my unibrow to be divorced. Lol. And not knowing where to turn, I looked on Yelp for a company that could get the job done right. The sugar is not only natural but it's great on my skin. I've been waxing for over 15 years and wax can leave your skin red and irritated. With regular waxing, my skin acts up, making me look as if I was sunburnt or something. Lol. Not with Sugaring! Waaaay better and gentler on my skin. I can walk out of Sugar Me looking normal. Lol. I've been going to them for 9 months now and I can officially say that I've found my sugar mommas for life! read more

Sugar Me - Eyebrows freshly waxed and un-bushed! Lol. - Sugaring Near Me - Portland, Oregon

First time ever getting my bikini sugared. I had it waxed once when I was 19 and it was so painful I was terrified of going back. Corby was so sweet and talked me through the whole thing and went at my pace. 10/10 would recommend! read more

I have been resisting writing a review of Sugar Me for a long time because I didn't want other people to know about it. It is my amazing secret "waxing" spot. I'm writing a review now because I LOVE this place and they deserve the credit. Super cute, clean, friendly little place. MY skin is so much better since I started sugaring and stopped waxing. No more ingrown hairs! I have been seeing Trey forever and I think she is adorable. She takes her time to go over any missed spots with the tweezers. You must try this place! While you're there, test all the yummy samples of lotion in the adorable boutique. read more

**Update to my review: the owner reached out to me personally and made this right. I really appreciate the assurance that this was a fluke and not business as usual. A reason to shop local: people care about clients and we treat each other as neighbors! Thanks Sugar Me.** I loved coming here, they were always great. Unfortunately today a work emergency plus traffic put me twenty minutes late. I called to let them know and beg sympathy, explaining it's a very important vacation to me. Katie was completely unsympathetic, borderline rude, and quick to make sure I got hit with that charge... despite being a first time offender. Maybe she was having a bad day but no need to spread that to clients! read more

I don't know why I ever stopped coming here, it's almost like a luxury but the same cost as waxing! It's super gentle and feels almost like a bandaid getting ripped of, but you leave without feeling a burning stingy feeling or puffy and red! I needed my eyebrows re styled and cleaned up and Haily did an amazing job! I only explained to her once how I liked my eyebrows and she completely followed through! Ever since my appointment I've literally felt so pretty again! Plus my face feels soft and smooth! I will be back! read more

I love this place so much!!!! Tray is amazing! My wax is always so quick and as painless as can be. There is always such a positive vibe when I walk in. I have been coming here for over 3 years and will never go anywhere else!! read more

I'd give the overall experience a solid 3.5 stars. It was my first sugaring experience (did Brazilian) and I liked the waxing experience overall. My waxer was sweet and walked me through what to expect. I agree that the flicking hurts less than when wax is ripped off, but the application hurts more so I wonder if it's a neutral pain experience. lol My skin was less irritated after, but today (one day post wax), I have peeling on my labia. That's a little odd since the wax is room temperature. The salon itself is nice, but not particularly warm/cozy. And the fact that the walls aren't closed at the top means you can hear everyone else's conversations, and not your own. They don't offer treats like other waxing places in town as part of your experience but the price is the same. The service takes longer, and the products they use during the process are natural so I liked that. I'll probably try it again, but might try a different spot. read more

Despite my last review where I proclaimed that Sugar Me had redeemed themselves, I'm sorry to say I've finally left the ladies for good. I realized that what kept me coming back was the talented owner. I cycled through all the other folks and no one had the same level of skill. My last experience was horrible. The person was agonizingly slow. When someone is ripping out your hair, you don't want the process to be anything but quick as lightning. I wanted so badly to love this place, but the sugar can't hide the sour service. read more

Having come from a magnificent studio I'd be part visiting for six years in Seattle, I was worried about finding a new place in Portland for all my hair removal needs. Now that I've been in Portland just about three years and have visited two sugaring studios, I have to say that this is my favorite for its location (free parking is muy bueno) and Tray and Courtney. Between the therapy session feel of getting to see them and the excellent hair removal I've received over the years (along with the stellar prices; Seattle was not as competitive with waxing), I've turned into a sugaring addict, not to mention that Kate keeps the space so freaking cute, it's like walking into a fun boutique that I wished sold swimwear... or at least a wide range of lingerie. A few points to define though. First, no, all hair removal hurts, so this won't hurt less than a regular waxing brazilian, but if you're like me, your skin will not decide that it's being bombed and attempt to resemble the Stay Puft man from Ghostbusters after, so that's already a huge improvement from waxing. Taking a couple advil or aspirin before are enough to dull the sensation to a point where I don't notice it at all. Second, I feel like this is far more sanitary than waxing--I understand all estheticians should adhere to strict sanitation standards, but you can't reuse a ball of sugar nor double dip, so any chance of that is nil. Third, this is the oldest form of hair removal. The Egyptians were onto something and I wholeheartedly have embraced it so I can have the smooth legs, arms, and nether regions I so desire. Can't wait to frequent their new location opening up on Division! read more

The first thing I read on Sugar Me's Yelp review was that it didn't hurt. And so right then and there I called and made an appointment. I've been getting waxing for years and am quite used to the pain. My hair was a bit longer than I usually keep it but since it "doesn't hurt" I figured it'd be worth the shot. Well actually, it does hurt. I thought it hurt more than waxing actually. But the thing is, I'm going to go back and try it again. Why? They were really nice. Additionally though, I liked it there! The storefront is comfortable and tastefully decorated. I'm intrigued that I felt like I was browsing in a little boutique before I got called in for my appointment. So yes, it hurt more than I expected. And yes, I will still go back anyway. read more

Sugar Me is absolutely awesome!!! Beautiful and charming surroundings and very attentive service. I've seen Greer Kukak now twice, and she is incredible: quietly confident and calm with a steady yet gentle touch (she also does facials, which I can't wait to try!!!). Getting sugared is nothing like getting waxed. I'm talking eyebrows here, so we're not talking about great pain, but there is NO pain with sugaring. It's incredible! And, the usual redness I experience from waxing (which lasts over an hour and looks like I got a bad sunburn or a punch in the face - ha ha) is absent! I'm a believer. I'm never going back to waxing! And, I can't recommend Greer Kukak high enough! read more

Sugar Me is great! I made an appointment online, and since I was unsure exactly where it was I got there about 30 minutes early. They were able to see me almost immediately which was great, and I ended up getting my brows done by Kate. She's wonderful, very professional and will totally put you at ease. We did a brow design, and I told her what I like, and then she gave me some helpful tips, and when she was done they were perfect. I'm normally all about waxing, and using hard wax at that, but I really like the sugar wax. Warm but not overly hot. It was actually soothing, and my skin didn't look inflamed after. Definitely give them a try! They also have a cool punch card thing, with 5 brow waxes and get the next one free. And I got a free lip balm that smells delish. I will be going back soon! Love the sugaristas! read more

No one wants their hard earned post-menarche hair ripped brutally from its cozy little follicle, but sometimes a girl wants to wear a bathing suit without looking like a neutrino climbed in her bottoms. Sugar Me is in my neighborhood and so I decided to give it a try. Kate is the kind of person who makes you feel comfortable and well taken care of despite the very obvious awkwardness of having a complete and total heterosexual stranger stare at and remove hair from my nether regions. She's adorable and has great bedside manner. I suggested she start an OB/GYN waxing store so that you can just run in there for an annual AND a bikini wax. Ok and here is the best part (other than that the shop is adorable and Kate is adorable and the punch card): July is free panties with a bikini wax month. I am not kidding. I walked out that joint with an adorable pair of boy shorts. Deal of the century. read more

After seeing alllllllll the good reviews for this place, I finally decided to try it out awhile ago. Unfortunately, didn't have a great experience and haven't been back since. The place was freezing cold, stood around waiting for awhile while listening to the staff chat to each other (with no acknowledgement I was standing there). I had heard a lot of good things about sugaring, but my experience didn't line up. It took forever. It hurt. I ended up with lots of red bumps all over, which is strange for me since I've never even had a reaction to waxing. Did I say it took FOREVER? Ugh. I probably won't go back, and wouldn't recommend to others. ****Shortly after writing this review, the owner of the studio contacted me. She genuinely felt bad about my experience, and has taken steps to remedy it. I appreciate her concern, and I hope to revisit and give it another shot in the future. +1 star in the meantime... glad to know they care a lot about their customers and their experiences! read more

All the reviews had me wanting to try this place. I have to agree that the staff is extremely nice. The decor is lovely. But I doubt I'll be going back. I've been waxing for years and while the benefits of sugaring are appealing, the pain was just way too much. My legs were read and stung for over an hour afterward. That usually doesn't happen to me with waxing. I actually think that waxing doesn't hurt all that much. The pain I expereinced is enough to keep me away. While staff and decor is nice, I have to say that I did not like that the rooms do not have full walls. I found it very uncomfortable to listen to the conversation between the client and the staff member in the next room as well as at the reception desk. I suggest trying it for yourself. read more

I've been coming to Sugar Me for three years. I've had positive experiences with everyone there but please can I just praise Kate S. for being so immensely kind, friendly, and great at what she does!!! Seriously, she makes this whole pulling hair off your body experience an absolute joy! Plus, nature didn't give me great eyebrows but Kate somehow always manages to make them look great! When I'm there we laugh, scheme, and hug it out. Thank you Kate for your OUTSTANDING work, attention to detail, and customer service. I have always felt appreciated and valued at Sugar Me, and will 100% miss it when I move back home. read more

I love that they have an online booking system. It's a dream come true for a shy lady such as myself. I'd never tried sugaring before, but after reading rave reviews on Yelp and finding out that their prices were comparable to traditional waxing, I was sold. I booked Kate for an eyebrow sugaring. She did an amazing job in very little time, and she's really nice as well! The pain factor during the sugaring was a little less than waxing, which I was pleasantly surprised at. The difference in pain afterwards was phenomenal. My skin is ridiculously sensitive, and I'm usually uncomfortably swollen and red after a wax. Not the case with sugaring. Of course it wasn't completely pain-free, but I did barely notice the pain, and the pain stopped about a half hour afterwards. I will definitely be back. read more

My close friend suggested Sugar Me as the place to get my first Brazilian wax done and my experience was wonderful. I have gone back 3 times since, and would continue to go back if it wasn't for having moved to another sate. The owner Kate is very professional and her staff is very professional and caring. Greer K. has always helped put me at ease and the appointments I've had with her go super fast and she is very thorough. So glad that I lost my Brazilian wax virginity here! No other place can compare. read more

Why go anywhere else to get your pubes ripped off? It's all natural, nearly waste free and minimal discomfort. Well, as if lying there with no panties on with a stranger is considered discomfort. Lovely staff, clean facilities, come here every time. read more

After having a torturous experience for my first Brazilian, I braved the idea of trying again at a different salon and different method. - first, having someone up in your business is not comfortable. But Tray makes you feel comfortable from minute one. - second, sugaring is not painless but it is less trauma on the skin. Because it is pulled out in the direction it grows it causes less ingrown hairs. (At least for me). - third, scheduling is EASY with the Mindbody App. - forth, they have a rewards program. Added bonus, cute place with nicknacks for sale.... Some really adorable cheeky panties branded Sugar Me! Place and method works so well that I just had a maintenance appointment! read more

Just had my first sugaring experience with Courtney. She was very nice and explained the benefits of sugaring (less harsh on skin, less ingrowns). I had a great experience and would recommend it to those whose skin reacts negatively to traditional waxing. They also have a punch card--buy 5 (eyebrow or bikini waxes) and get one free!! read more

So I don't live in Portland but was recently up there visiting some old friends and apparently for this day, playing chauffeur as well. My friend had mentioned she wanted to try this place out as they heard it was a great alternative to waxing. By the end of her visit she could not stop raving about how amazing the treatment was and how completely awesome Katie (the owner) is. The shop is apparently pretty new but Katie's professionalism with everyone there was impressive and even in my brief conversation with her I could tell she really enjoys and loves her work. Even though I didn't get any work done there, my visit left enough of a good impression on me to make sure I put in some good words for Sugar Me on yelp. Katie is completely amazing and you won't be disappointed! read more

Oh my science, I can't say enough how much I love this shop. I went in today for my first brazilian at Sugar Me with miss Kate. She was so friendly and adorable and immediately made me feel at home. The service was fast and the pain was very mild. Just what you want out of a brazilian. ;) The price was awesome, and maintenance is cheaper than the initial service, PLUS she gave me a punch card, so after 5 brazilian waxes, I get 1 free. Amazing! The shop was pristinely clean, and adorably decorated. She isn't going to be able to keep me away. Love it! read more

I've been a regular here for over two years now and still recommend Tray or Kate to do your Brazilian. Especially if you're new to Brazillians, you'll want a seasoned pro to do it! Otherwise, the work may not be as thorough, hurt more, and/or take a longer time. I've also gotten legs and underarms sugared here by all of the ladies who work here and have always been happy with the results. read more

I went in for my first ever sugaring experience today and I loved it. I will definitely be back. Greer performed my brow/lip sugaring and was friendly, attentive, and efficient. For those, like me, who have only ever done waxing before - I highly recommend giving sugaring a try. I found it much less painful, my skin was not as red/inflammed afterwards, and it took about the same amount of time and seemed less messy to boot. The Sugar Me space is small and cute, and there is plenty of parking. read more

Ok friends and loved ones... You have seen it, as plain as the nose on my face only slightly below... Ok, I HAD a mustache! On the serious side, Kate is as sweet as her magic sugar mixture and she rid me of my stash without even a wimper! Got unwanted hair? GO. Now! read more

Been to see both Kate and Tray a couple times. Love this place. Now that I've been sugared, I'll never go back to waxing. It is both faster and less painful than waxing. If I am just going in for a bikini, I am usually in and out in less than 10 minutes. However, if you do arrive early, there are plenty of cute things to look at or treat yourself to in the boutique. They do such a great job here. I would highly recommend to anyone! read more

I got addicted to sugaring last year and religiously saw Kate for leg and occasionally bikini, underarms, etc but missed a couple of months and almost didn't go back when I realized there were no appointments with Kate. The draw of miniskirts and the need to never shave again took over and I went in for the first available appointment which happened to be with Greer. What a treat!! Just as lovely and talented as Kate and with more availability (for now!). I can't wait to go back to Greer next month and that's a real compliment considering that she basically rips out my hair. :) read more

I want to start off by saying I really liked Robin-- but my face HATED the entire experience. I was super excited to get sugared after reading all the awesome reviews. It seemed like it was a less painful process and better for people with sensitive skin than waxing. Not the case for me. I felt that it was equally as painful as waxing-- which I don't mind. But the aftermath has been a mess. I had an awful histamine reaction right away. My face broke out in hives and was swollen for about two days. I called the salon to ask for suggestions for taming my reaction and Robin was quick to call back. Which was awesome. However-- nothing has worked and I've had flare ups daily. I'm not sure what caused my skin to react so badly-- but I've never experience anything like this before-- not even with waxing. Perhaps my skin is overly sensitive to the process. I do recommend starting off small if you've never tried it before just to see how you will react. I went straight for the full face-- which probably wasn't smart on my part. I guess I just had high hopes! Anyway-- five days later and nothing has worked. I'm heading to the dermatologist tomorrow. Hopefully they can help figure out what is going on! read more

I can not walk into this adorable little shop without spending an hour chit-chatting with the fabulous staff!!! A friend invited me to the grad opening a few months ago and I agreed to try out the services. I had no idea what "sugaring" was but immediately fell in L.O.V.E with it. Much like waxing but very, very gentle on the skin. I am super prone to break outs and irritation so I entered as a skeptic...was pleasantly surprised . Prices are very reasonable. The boutique portion has lots of "pretty's" made by local artists. (I love that about this place, that they support the local artists) WARNING: If you try it out...you will be hooked. The few times I have been in I hear ladies coming out of the treatment room saying..."My eyebrows have NEVER looked this good!" I give this place 2 thumbs up! read more

I was fortunate enough to attend the grand opening of Sugar Me, and what did I find but the sweetest little boutique of a shop right on Fremont in the heart of great businesses, and a great neighborhood.
