I love Habit Sugaring Studio! I had tried waxing a few times but always walked away with red irritated skin (super sensitive skin!). A friend suggested sugaring as a more natural and a less offensive alternative. I used to get my brow and lip waxed and it was suuuuuper painful and I always broke out afterward. I also got the sense that the esthetician didn't really care about me as a person, which is maybe my own baggage to unpack, but regardless: Robin makes me feel at ease and like she cares what happens to my face, which I find refreshing. Robin is amazing, super good at making you feel comfortable and getting the job done quickly and painlessly. The room is super cute, I am totally stealing some design ideas for my place. The location is super convenient, right at 39th and Hawthorne. I have sensitive skin, so shaving is NOT an option, and even waxing leaves me with uncomfortable bumps for a day or two. A friend told me to try sugaring, and I'm completely sold. Same price as waxing, but way less painful, longer lasting, and no uncomfortable rash after. I can't say enough good things. read more
