The gas pumps area is tidy. There is no litter. The trash cans were not full and there was a squeegee in the reservoir. The receipt printer worked. The gas was competitively priced. Let me start off by saying nothing has changed much since my last preview about a month or so ago, they still have made to order sandwiches, subs and breakfast items as well as self serve coffee ( which I prefer ) . So stop by your neighbor or nearest Wawa. I like pumpkin spice coffee but I prefer the blueberry cobbler because that was delicious ( my opinion of course) . This location is strategically located on North Hampton Blvd, near the New Premium Outlets and right before you drive out of town to cross the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Due to its location, it is a high traffic Wawa!. Its busier than a Bee Hive. For the most part the location is clean, hard to make it sparkle when there is so much foot traffic. The staff is pleasant. You may have to wait a few extra minutes to order any sandwiches, use the ATM or even pump some gas. I recommend using the WAWA mobile app to place and food orders. I have used this service at this location and my order was waiting upon arrival. I received a few dirty looks from waiting customers but, HEY! You should've used the app. TIP: If you pay for your gas inside and scan your WAWA rewards card you stack up WAWA Rewards points quicker. Upon meeting your spending target, you receive free items such as a free coffee, ICEE or flatbread sandwich. S/N: These rewards do have an expirations date. Use them or lose them. This Wawa is my least favorite store in the area. I have given it opportunities to improve, but the staff really just don't seem care. I now only stop on rare occasions for gas stops and it still is an ordeal. My stop this afternoon was only for fuel as I was coming from out of town and really needed it. I pulled into the pump to find the same issue with trash bins over flowing that have plagued this store for a very long time. The lot also had trash around. As a matter of fact I even contacted corporate due to the fact it was such a horrendous issue on a visit over six months ago. To my amazement Wawa corporate contacted me within days, even sending me an apology letter and a few FREE coffee coupons. Another issue that plagues this store is strangers approaching you for money. This happens often and again happen today. This can be very unnerving if occurring at night which it has before. I contacted the staff by microphone and informed them of this situation and gave a description of the man going pump to pump. The person on the other end said they would let their manager know. So I decided to set back and see what happens... NOTHING!!! No manager came out of the store and this man kept plugging away and going pump to pump bothering customers with a sob story that he was broken down in a car down the road with five children. If it's not someone approaching you in the lot, it's someone on the corner (on their property) with a sign asking for money. This is pretty much daily. I am fed up with it and I would try to avoid this location at all cost. It has an awesome location with cars making their way to I64, or the Bay Bridge Tunnel. Locals be warned, this is not the place to fuel up, or get a few items in their mart. read more

Like most Wawas, I haven't been disappointed. It's a convenient store, and they are convenient. This location is always busy. It is on a major route for travelers and truckers, but it's always clean. They have a large variety of snacks, food and drinks. I'm not a big coffee drinker, but their coffee is better than the other expensive coffee. The Kenya brew is a good new addition, but the Columbia is the go-to brew at Wawa. I recently tried the donuts.......delicious! The subs are good too. I typically avoid this Wawa like the plague because no matter what time of the day, it is always so busy and people are always hanging around begging for money. But I really needed to get gas and this one was the closest. I hate to say it but I always go out of my way to go to another Wawa because I despise this one so much. They've messed up way too many of my sub orders in the past and have had unprofessional employees making the food. This is your run-of-mill Wawa. A step above other convenience store gas stations (I'm looking at you 7-Eleven). I frequent convenience stores more than most as an Uber driver so I'm constantly checking the quality all around at these places. For the most part, the bathrooms at this location are kept consistently clean, with only rare instances where I find them dirty. I will some times order from their made-to-order food area. My food is always made well and the consistency is great regardless of who is making it and what time I come in (whether it's 12PM or 4AM). The store itself is always orderly and clean. One of my biggest pet peeves with places like this is when I walk in and there are crates everywhere and half the shelves are empty. That never happens here. Furthermore, they are really good about monitoring the line. Once things start getting backed up, they almost immediately send another person to ring at the register. I find this particularly important because I know most of us aren't going into Wawa to have a long stay but to get in and out as quick as they can so they can go about their day. To top it off, the gas is usually a smidge cheaper than other gas stations and there are always numerous pumps so you're not stuck waiting. I definitely would recommend this Wawa. Especially considering I pass a 7-Eleven gas station to go a ways down the road just to get gas, Red Bull, and snacks from here. read more

Wow, this place is really hopping at 10am. It shouldn't be a surprise, since the location is phenomenal. This Wawa sits on the corner of Northampton Blvd (Hwy 13) and Diamond Springs Road. Not only is it convenient for locals, it is the first fuel/convenience center one comes to after crossing the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. So it gets prime exposure from those traveling down the Eastern Shore/Delmarva Peninsula from the Northeast. If the travelers are anything like me a required stop will always be at Wawa. I know where all the Wawa's are located when I travel the same route to NYC. The hot items this morning were the breakfast sandwiches. They were hot & yummy smelling with a good variety of choices. Choose your sausage egg & cheese either on a croissant, pretzel roll, or French toast. For the cholesterol counters there was an egg white choice blended into the variety. The check-out lines were efficient with one not having to stand in line for excruciating time periods, such as I have experienced at some large convenience stores on Highway 13 on the Eastern Shore. I'm sure this made the time conscience travelers happy. Wawa's are consistently good. You can count on the same quality regardless of whether you are in Virginia, Delaware or New Jersey. As of now this is the last Wawa you'll see when you come down south, for Wawa being well known farther up north. After Virgina beach its all Royal Foods( a version of Wawa) with their astronomical prices. This is a super Wawa with everything including a fueling station where the gas prices were $.30 cheaper while I was there. I'm a fan of Wawa, so seeing this and the prices for gas, who wouldn't stop. I stopped getting sandwiches here after several bad experiences. Meatball subs with so much sauce that it was dripping out of the wrapper... Chicken salad sandwiches with hair in them.... brown lettuce... the list goes on. Even the grab and go hot sandwiches up by the register have been bad. However, this is my favorite spot for getting gas. The gas area is usually crowded (and for good reason, it is the cheapest price around) but there are ample pumps and the gas comes out fast. For as busy as this Wawa location it, the bathrooms are inadequate, and therefore always pretty dirty. In all, I will keep coming here for the gas, and an occasional bag of chips and a drink. read more

This location is always slammed, you see the real busy times around lunch and right after work, but due to its location they get busy at totally random times as well. "The Good" - The new computer that you can order your sandwich the way you want it, after a few times using it you become a pro and can help others. Just remember to take your ticket up to the cashier and pay so they can mark you off as paid and pick up your lunch. - Turkey Sub - These things are delicious and although not rocket science, still need to be made correctly in order to taste good. - This location has the gas pump version and have a large number of pumps to handle the crowd. - Tastykakes - A guilty pleasure from Philly. - Peanut Chews - Another Guilty Pleasure from Philly, now available to the masses thanks to WaWa. They aren't gourmet chefs and this isn't Fat Philly's cheesesteaks, but they are decent for what you pay. Plus, it's all made to order. You choose what you want on it and they make it. Note to Person that puts together Scavenger Hunt Lists: Include a 16 oz bottle of cold Code Red Mountain Dew. It is nearly impossible to find. So that was the mission of the night. Don't ask why because it will only distract your attention from what we are trying to do here, namely give some props to the Weirdest Food Market in the area. This particular location would be right at home in Austin, Texas (the center of the Weird Universe, and, coincidentally, one of my Favorite Places). After three unsuccessful stops, I rolled the Fit into the lot and up to the door, striding purposefully. Indeed, a Man with a Purpose. Before I hit the front door, the lady who usually sits by the road with her sign asking for money was on break and leaned up against the brick wall next to the doorway. Or maybe she picked up a gig as the WaWa doorman. She gave me a quizzical look, so I promptly checked my fly. If you were casually walking past at this point, you would probably wonder what was said to me to cause that reaction. Chalk it up to the whole Man with a Purpose thing. Just go with it, ok? In the door I went. Once inside, I was greeted by another quizzical look, this one mixed with a high degree of Fear, Doom, Loathing, and Despair. It was a hipster, obviously way off track and adrift in uncharted waters! Being the good soul that I am, I quickly gave him directions on the quickest route back to Ghent, which he graciously accepted and sprinted out the door. Well, ok. He sauntered, hipster style. But once safely out of sight, I'm pretty certain that he was in full sprint mode, style be damned. Back to the Code Red. It is in the back in the coolers. It is impossible to walk to the coolers without passing the huge display of Chocolate Treats. Once again, another sector of humanity was present at the chocolates, this one was staring at the Big Bundle of Reeses Peanut Butter cups and giggling uncontrollably. Hey chief! The Doritos are two aisles over. Finally, back at the cold case. There it was, 16 oz of cold red bliss in a Mountain Dew bottle. At this point, I came to the realization that the musical accompaniment to all of this was Prince 'Let's Go Crazy.' As I strode to the counter to pay for my newly found treasure, I vaguely considered lingering a bit longer to see exactly how this Collection of Humanity would react to the Mandatory Air Guitar Solo at the end of the musical interlude. Discretion being the better part of valor, though, I squashed that thought back down, dropped a couple of bucks on the counter and strode off. Purposefully. Thanks, come back again! This place is essentially my second home. I come here at least several times a week for their fantastic sandwiches. It's gotten to the point where the cashiers and sandwich artists recognize me. And if that's wrong, I don't want to be right. A typical lunch for me is a 4" sandwich on ciabatta bread (about $3), or a 6" (about $4) if i'm extra hungry. The quality of sandwich is much better than Subway, and they aren't at all stingy with the meat portions. I also love the mango creme smoothie but my waistline is beginning to disagree with me on that one. It can get a bit busy during lunch rush (12PM - 1PM), but they're really great about working their way through large queues quickly. read more
