This is probably my favorite and most convenient location for me. I love that they are a "super wawa" and offer a gas station. They are usually a little higher in gas prices than other gas stations but its the best option when I am running to and from the gym or running in for my morning coffee fix. I feel like no matter what time or day it is, this location is always clean and nicely taken care of. They offer an extensive deli menu for hoagies, breakfast sandwiches, smoothies, iced coffee, soups, chili and my favorite mac & cheese. This location bakes all the rolls/bread fresh daily. If you are not from the area and never visited a Wawa, this is the one to try. Its a better version of a convenient store/ a regular gas station. They now have an app you can download and earn rewards for going to any wawa location. read more

Both self checkout machines were need attention so everyone had to be rung up with the cashier. No issue to me. I don't mind. I had 3 or 4 people in front of me. A young black woman with a black facial mask was the only cashier. A white male employee appeared to be bagging door dash orders behind her. My turn to be rung up came, I greeted her and said something about the super bowl game, and the young woman said to the male employee- you take this... I can't take it. He was confused, and didn't understand why. He stated "Is there a problem?"... It seems that he doesn't typically take that role of regular cashier because he hesitated on what to even do... no issue. I really am not criticizing that. I thought she had to step away or something, but she stood there and watched him ring me up. I was wearing an eagles crew neck with a red hat that said Make America Great Again. I said nothing but hello and spoke about the eagles game. As I went to pick up my order, I heard the man ask why she did that... She said "the hat"... I didn't state any hate speech or insults. I didn't say any derogatory remarks. Anyone in that store could state that... even the other male employee who got forced into the middle of it. All my hat said was make America great again. Celebrating the Superbowl Win and feeling proud to not only live near Philly, but to also be an American is why I chose to wear that hat. I chose to walk away as there was a really long line behind me, and I was uncomfortable given her behavior- how she my react and was concerned for my safety. On the way out, I made it a point to say "have a nice day" and she didn't even look at me. I am very disappointed in this experience, and don't know if I can go to this wawa or any wawa again. I had no hate, and no negative remarks, yet I was put in this position. I didn't get my receipt either but I have a picture of my food order.... It was a quesadilla. I'm not sure how to go forward, as this seems a reason to contact someone higher up rather than just this store. I am concerned if she were to even answer the phone. It's discrimination against me, where I never imposed anything on this woman or said anything for that matter regarding beliefs or political views. Essentially, she didn't approve of my hat and refused me service. I thought this was America and we were beyond these times. read more

The place has got to be the worst run Wawa I've ever seen. There are some good employees, but they can't seem to keep a solid team for any length of time. The cashiers are criminally slow, and the workers that make the food are either incompetent or mess up orders on purpose. This is absolutely the worst wawa I've ever been to in the city of Philadelphia and I've been to a lot while working. From the staff to them never having any of the food they are supposed to have. If you're about to run out of an item take it off the menu. Ordered a simple cheddar broccoli soup. Had at least 5 people in front of me that ordered Mac n cheese, which they ended up running out of. Wawa is the largest convenience store in Philadelphia. There have other locations in other areas of Pennsylvania as well as in New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and Florida. Ask anyone who lives in Philly and they will tell you how much they love Wawa. Ask anyone who has moved away from Philly and they'll tell you how much they wish there was one where they moved to. I love how much they are involved with the community, with events like Wawa's Welcome America for annual 4th of July celebrations. They make a huge hoagie and give it out to the people of Philly. They also have their annual "Hoagie Fest" every summer complete with catchy jingles and retro styled commercials and billboards. This is when you up size on your hoagies because they're so darn cheap! Wawa offers pretty decent made to order hoagies in a pinch as well as other hot deli options like Mac and cheese, soup, and chili. They have healthy to go snacks packs as well such as hummus and chips, apples and dip etc. It's always a great stop for the whole gang, no matter what you're diet consists of before a beach day, road trip or any time, really. The Wawa brand of drinks are pretty great as well, coffee is decent and people really love it and bottled teas and lemonades are a favorite in our house! Wawa is a lot nicer than most convenient stores I've been to around the the states and they're all fairly consistent with what they carry, some a tad more than others depending on size. Of course everyone has their favorites however. This location leaves me a tad bitter as it has replaced my childhood Wawa down the street on Krewstown. The one we would walk to for a quick gallon of milk with the fam or to grab a snack with our allowance money when we were kids. This is where I used to sell my Girl Scout cookies and handmade goods in front of when I was a budding entrepreneur. The neighborhood was sad to see it go as it gave that small town feel. People would hang outside, drinking their coffee and chatting with others from the neighborhood. This location loses that. It's huge which I guess is better for some and I must admit I do like having it as a close gas option where there wasn't really one before. I see why they did it, but still Whaaaah! It's pretty centrally located for the area on the corner of two huge intersections, Grant and Krewstown as well as in the corner of Krewstown Shopping Center, so it's very convenient for a lot of people. This is a pretty big wawa. I usually just pass to fill gas (because they're one of the cheapest gas stations) and I haven't visited where it's so busy I have to wait in a line of cars. There is an area to fill your tires with air. The wawa itself is gracious in space, clean and neat. The cashiers are really nice and the cooks behind the hoagie bar go out of their way to meat your needs in your order.
