When you get cussed at by one of the employees on dec 14 at night for the lottery machine getting stuck, it's sad that's how under staffed this location was that night. I ordered a kids meal and a classic sandwich. The kids meal options are pretty limited, but my kid wanted a simple Turkey shorti with cheddar cheese, tomato, and a little Mayo. Instead we got a turkey shorti with lettuce, no Mayo, cucumbers and provolone. My kid was about to cry over it but luckily we were home and could swap out ingredients. When we picked up the food the guy was on autopilot making food, and probably not paying attention whatsoever to the print out. He also didn't tell us the order was ready and it was sitting behind the glass. I used to love this place when I lived in the south, would be greeted warmly, my food was always correct, and I would gladly sit outside and eat. NJ Wawas are a joke compared to that - super rude older lady cashier, mistakes on orders, they don't always call your number and you are waiting when it's done and find the order sitting behind the glass meanwhile the food service staff is joking around hanging out. It was almost 100 degrees and we Stopped by on our way to grab iced coffee and it was so good. We tried vanilla and caramel flavors! The biggest issue is we had to wait for like 20 min to get our iced coffee as there was only 1 register open and the waiting line was long. Also, the staff was kinda meh! Love wawa! read more

The food is good but the service is terrible. I went there a few days ago to get a a couple of online sandwiches and I asked the sandwich maker if my order was ready, she then tossed them back to me and gave a dirty look like she was going to beat me. The incident was pretty disturbing and rude. If you go there, be prepared. The service person is a skinny African-American with her hair tied up in a bun. Stay away from her. Was accused of stealing in this location (I have never so much as stolen a napkin from a pizzeria in my life, so not sure why I'd start now with a drink from WaWa) On top of that, from experience in retail in my teens - early twenties, a cardinal rule was never to accuse a patron of anything, especially stealing. Not sure what WaWa's policy is on that though. Either way, manager was very condescending about it and wouldn't even reason with me. Took a regular store associate (who was maybe in high school) to diffuse the situation and settle it. I appreciated him for treating me with respect and listening to my defense. This Wawa is at the intersection of Ryders Lane and Milltown Road, directly across from Vinnie's Subs and diagonally across from Walgreen's. Getting into the parking lot from Ryders Lane southbound requires an awkward left turn--and as another reviewer noted, the parking lot is full of more hairpin turns and blind spots, basically an accident waiting to happen. Definitely smaller than the South River location on Old Bridge Turnpike, but probably more accessible to those living or working in the residential districts of E. Brunswick. Unfortunately, the smaller space is not ideal for handling the commuter rush during breakfast or lunch. This location has employee restrooms but no customer restrooms. read more

I'm here almost every morning for their French Vanilla Cappacino and their donuts. It's only a 10 minute walk away from my house and a 2 minute drive. Their hot and cold food is pretty good too. You can even see the people making the food. Along with that, you expect things made by the store themselves like "Wawa Cola" or "Wawa Green Tea" or "Wawa Blue Raseberry soda" to be absolutely gross but their actually pretty good (and much cheaper than the originals). My brother always makes me buy him at least 2 half gallons of their Green Tea... Out of all the convenience stores I know, this is my favorite. read more

It's ok. Wawa used to be my favorite place to get a milkshake, because they had a great milkshake machine, that made creamy milkshakes from 30 different flavors. Now, after they went into remodeling, that thing is out. And, now there's really nothing for me to get there. They have good lemonade, which I got the last time I was here. And, it's great that they have their own branded drinks. Staff can be friendly or rude. It depends when you go. The time that I went, the cashier was okay, but I felt like she was just doing her job. I visited this WAWa late last night (around 12:30 or 1am) and the male cashier who rang me up seemed quite annoyed I was there, as the store was pretty quiet at this hour. Smaller than the one on OB Turnpike, but has just what I need when I'm in the area. I come for hot chocolate mixed with their many flavors of coffee: options for me are hazelnut decaf and Kona blend. Delicious! Plenty of milk/creamer options to add to your coffee as well. Like to get their 1/4 lb beef hot dogs, hash brown patty. I see that sandwiches are popular here, usually a few people waiting. Lines can build up, and it does bleed into other areas of the store, maybe it a bit more crowded and cramped. Usually 1-2 cashiers, and I think they move fast enough, but it's just a small spot overall. They have a good amount of parking, but it's not a wide open lot/space, but with twists, turns, and curves, so be careful not to go too quickly because that's an accident waiting to happen around a blind spot. First time at this location! Saturday morning, it was PACKED!!!! Almost as if there was a snow storm brewing and people were in panic mode! Been coming here for awhile now, no complaints. I love their subs, because their ingredients are always fresh and their work conditions are always clean (unlike quick check). They messed up my order royally for the first time about 2 weeks ago (and I didn't realize until I got home). I called, just to make them aware to pay better attention when making them (because I wasn't going to drive all the way back) and I happened to speak with a manager named Dakota. I believe he's in charge of the deli section. He was so understanding, kind and accommodating. He reassured me that they do not like to conduct business that way. He asked if I could come in the following day (around the same time) because he would be at the store to give me a full refund as well as a correctly made order on the house. Went in there and ordered a 10" sub with extra meat, as I saw what little they put on the sandwich, I asked for more meat, a coke and potato chips. Went to pay and the clerk said $12 and change. I said wow that's expensive. She said everything is, and maybe shouldn't have gotten extra meat. I should have said take your sandwich and .... I frequent this place more than I probably should. Staff attempts to be sociable with you in socially awkward ways. And, their sandwiches aren't that great. If you get cheesesteak or chicken cheesesteak your bread will be completely soggy and soaked through by the time you get home.
