The space is aesthetically pleasing however, the office staff is why I'm not going back to waverly. First, they called to verify my insurance. I came to my appointment, pictures were taken of my teeth, X-rays were performed and the dentist came to give me her recommendation; a deep cleaning. She said her office manager would be in next. When he came in I was told my insurance wasn't in network and my appointment would be over $1,000. I told him no. A girl came into the room and said I was in network, and a minute later said I wasn't. The office manager said "well I never do this for anyone but I'll only charge you $500." I work in an ER and my schedule is slammed, it's difficult for me to see a doctor let alone a dentist. Since I was already there and X-rays were taken, I moved forward with the appointment. After the appointment , the office manager had the nerve to tell me to write a good review because he went out of his way to give me a discount. The whole experience was tarnished due to the interaction with the office manager, I will never return to waverly. Side note, the office manager asked what I did for a living and when I told him I worked in an ER he asked a lot of questions about the process of getting your stomach pumped and said luckily he hasn't needed one in awhile. Very awkward! Also, AFTER THIS REVIEW POSTED, NICK (I BELIEVE THATS THE "business manager") CHARGED OVER 1K FOR MY VISIT. When I contacted them about this, they said I signed the contract. Before signing it I told the office manager it still says over 1k, he said "I have to go fix it at the front desk." Most unethical company, I reported to the better business bureau. read more

I am way overdue in writing this review so things may have changed/improved since my visit in July 2021. However, I find it worthwhile for anyone in search of a dentist in Dallas and to consider elsewhere for a more consistent and professional experience. **Disclaimer: I gave one extra star for the Whitening service (phenomenal, deserves 5 stars, 100% recommend and would return for whitening alone). This review solely reflects my experience for a standard cleaning. I've spent many hours in dentist offices from extensive orthodontic work, multiple oral surgeries and routine cleanings, and Waverly was by far my worst experience (and that is coming from someone who actually enjoys the dentist). I had high expectations since they advertise as a boutique dentist with a spa like experience and decided to give them a try despite being happy with my current dentist (Mint, and have since returned back there). Reception was fine, not overly friendly or welcoming but nothing to complain about. My second encounter was with the tech taking my x-rays was very informative of what was happening and apologized for the wait due to "an emergency" happening in house (my first red flag). After introducing herself, my hygienist (cannot remember her name) was very condescending in explaining each step - I brushed it off because I'm sure she was just trying to make me feel comfortable, but her delivery did come off poor. She then asked where I had been going for my dental care and when I told her she immediately started trash talking them and said "I don't want to go there and should come here [Waverly] instead because she went to school with that dentist" and to trust her, which was incredibly unprofessional and in poor taste. I'd rather have her prove to me while Waverly deserves to have my service. After she finished her initial exam and measurements, the dentist came in, kindly introduced herself and started her exam by asking if I was "interested in correcting my smile" before examining my x-rays or teeth. This also rubbed me the wrong way as I spent 5-7 years in 2 separate rounds of braces. I understand she was trying to sell another service, but I'm not sure who wants to spent hundreds of dollars on a service after being insulted. She then went on to look at my x-rays and told me I needed to consider getting my wisdom teeth removed. Politely, I told her I had all 4 removed 10 years ago and she continued to argue with me for a few minutes until she realized she was looking at the wrong patients X-ray (as a healthcare worker, this is a big no-no). She then scurried out to attend to the previously mentioned "emergency" to then come back 10 minutes later, mid-cleaning, and interrupt my hygienist to assist in the emergency. The bits a pieces I gathered were that my hygienist had removed this other patient's braces wire and no one was able to get it back in place so this poor girl could get back to class on time. Having spent years in braces, I never once had a dentist or hygienist manipulate any hardware as that is thousands of dollars worth of work that is not their own. Needless to say I was thankful for my cleaning to end without any personal "emergencies." My cleaning was followed by a professional whitening service, which I was slightly nervous for considering the above series of events, but this girl (I think her name was Dana) was fantastic and incredibly personable; she explained everything very thoroughly and not even with the slight bit condescendence. The whitening service was the only redeeming quality of my experience at Waverly. I hope they have improved their delivery of information and professionalism since my visit months ago. If you are looking for a dentist in the area, I still recommend Mint Dentistry over Waverly for standard cleanings. read more

UPDATE: I had ordered clear aligners for a 12 month period. They give you a new set of aligners every 2-3 months. This is the only reason I keep coming back. However, when I called Thursday morning to confirm my appointment time, the man at the front desk asked me to remove my review, with no concessions or offers to solve the problem. He didn't care to ask me about my experience or what had happened. I'm very alarmed to see the disregard for any type of desire for customer satisfaction, especially when a patient has spent around $2000 for a service. Upon arrival, I was told the man at the front desk was Mr. Nick, one of the owners and the same man that asked me to remove my review. I was then greeted by a nice staff member named Dana. She went above and beyond to make my experience better. I felt heard and understood. I cannot say enough good things about her, her patient relationship skills have been the best every time. Dr. Lee was also great, informative and patient. To my surprise, I told a staff member about what had happened and he/she even told me NOT to take the review down, to let them realize what they're doing wrong. This clearly shows they have an inside issue that has got to be resolved. Overall, if you want great doctors and some good staff but UNPROFESSIONAL, HARSH, UNINVITING management/ owners - this is your place. Some of these staff members deserve better. ---------------- First of all, I'm going to start by letting anyone know who reads this, I am a doctor of chiropractic student about to graduate and open my clinic. I am not an expert on management but it is something that is taught primarily to be able to run a successful practice. Both of the doctors here are great, knowledgeable and they do an amazing job explaining oral care. However, customer service is one of the worst I have seen at any office starting from extremely poor communication to abrasive management. When I first scheduled a cleaning I was told it was around $78 (the most basic) However when I sat down and was ready to get the cleaning the hygienist made me feel like I hadn't brushed my teeth in a year and imposed that I get the most expensive cleaning they have. It made me feel uncomfortable, ashamed and pressured into getting something I didn't understand I needed. NO good "spa" or clinic would pressure their patients into getting something they haven't agreed upon. If the patient does need a more rigorous cleaning then explain it to them professionally and let the PATIENT decide if they feel comfortable moving forward. Also, I was told I would get a free whitening with my aligners and when I went to pick them up I asked them about it and the assistant told me "I don't know, ask the doctor about it" It is not my job to ask the doctor if I can get a free whitening that I was told MANY times I would get, it is just unprofessional. I asked again when I spoke to them on the phone and they knew nothing about it. False advertising/miscommunication/ lack of professionalism. To end this with another bad experience, I had an appointment today which I knew nothing about because I didn't even get an email/ text/ call or anything to confirm my appointment so I got charged $25 because of their poor communication. I called and the lady at the front desk was extremely rude and didn't care about my experience at all. I'm not impressed they only care about your money. These are just some of the MANY reasons why I would NOT RECOMMEND this place to anyone. Please choose quality over aesthetics. It is NOT worth it. read more

Incredibly personable and friendly staff! I always get a little nervous going to the dentist but the atmosphere put me at ease almost instantly. They were careful with my sensitivity and they felt like they were truly listening to my concerns instead of just and in and out visit. This was also my first time having professional whitening done and it was fabulous! At home treatments and even gel trays always leave my teeth extremely sensitive but so far I haven't experienced any pain! My husband and I had a great experience with our appointments and also meeting/chatting with the team at Waverly. We love the concept of wellness and prevention rather than reactive medicine. My husband and I are both creatives, and love that their vision is that anything can be pleasing to the eye, and that design adds to the customer experience. We went on their grand opening week, and though it was obvious there were still a few kinks to work out, we are excited to be going back again in the future. I'm a sucker for great marketing, so Waverly got me there! I was due for a cleaning and took advantage of their enlightenment package. The office is friendly and inviting, and the staff is so positive and professional. I had to come back to have my first cavity (eek!) filled, and they made the process totally painless and comfortable. I'm a bit high maintenance at doctors' offices, and they met me with complete understanding and empathy! I also went home with the Waverly kit and couldn't be happier. This place was awesome! They were very thorough and kept me comfortable the whole time. I'm always super anxious getting my teeth cleaned but the gas helped make everything relaxing. If you're unsure, GET IT. It went away within 10minutes of turning it off too so no lingering effects. Brandee is THE BEST, you HAVE to go see her! We did a full cleaning, X-rays, and whitening. I also got a Waverly kit with toothpaste, mouthwash, etc and only paid around $250 for everything! That's a steal, y'all. So I saw an Instagram post about this dental "spa" and they had a killer deal for X-rays cleaning and whitening, so I though, why not? "The enlightenment" was just what was advertised and the staff was so charming and friendly, I would say spa-like, if you will! Super cool atmosphere, a neat hallway, super trendy, far nicer than any other dentists office I've been in. Also a really open floor plan which was nice for the current pandemic climate. My hygienist, Brandee, was the actual best. She is 98% of why I'm happy to return. Bubbly, sweet and knowledgeable. The lady dentist (can't remember her name but I think there's only one woman) was SO NICE, answered all my questions and put me at ease about the teeth whitening, which is state of the art. I have super sensitive teeth and thinner enamel so I've always shied away from teeth whitening but was really starting to need it. She recommended doing half the time and OMG y'all my teeth are friggen gorgeous!!! I legit caught them in the mirror like 6 times today and had to give myself a nod. Super impressed and super thorough. They even desensitize the teeth but I honestly didn't feel a thing. So they all try to sell you on the wave kit, which is a complete care system for 90 days. Kind of a hard commit on your first visit and I didn't really understand what it was all about even tho every single employee told me about it. Haha. So, I'm prone to peer pressure and I like to support local and I gave in lol. I didn't open it till I got home but holy shit it's huge. It literally covers your every need when it comes to your teeth. Also the packaging is I didn't even want to throw it away haha. I got 10% off of it when I made my next appt, so it was $81 and will last me the next 3 mos. It includes: toothpaste, mouth wash (that sounds to be a little better than just mouthwash), floss (which is like whatever but now you don't have to seek it out lol the packaging could be cuter on that. Lol), a teeth whitener for use a few times a week and a teeth whitener for once a month. Plus it's all aimed towards a more holistic care, bc as we know, gum disease leads to heart disease. Eek. So besides all that. I took a rundown of what I buy now...I use the GoSmile daily whitening, I did a crest strip whitening which provided decent results, plus toothpaste and mouthwash...so it's more than worth it just for the whitening portion, and now I don't have to commandeer all these objects or worry about running out. Assuming it lasts the 90 days, tbd on that and how they work, but the ingredients in oral care are pretty alike across the board, there are only so many things that are proven effective. And the rinse has coconut oil and tea tree in it, which I'm a fan of. And this is their proprietary stuff which they seem to have put a lot of time and research into, so what the hell, might as well try it! Also, make sure to pad your time on your visit, it might just be bc I'm a talker, but I was there for 2.5hrs lol. I don't anticipate it being that long on the next visit, but it's like a spa, right? Why rush? This got fairly long winded, proving my previous point, but I highly recommend this as your next dental office. Happy smiling! read more

I've been receiving the Waverly Kit since January and I'm feeling the love!! Im Amazed of how quickly the "Fortify" product relieves the slightest gum irritation. For example i had some popcorn which mostly always leaves behind one or two kernal pieces in between my teeth. I flossed removing the kernel pieces and my gums became immediately irritated. I turned to my "Fortify" put some around the irritation and within minutes the irrigation was gone!! Truth!! Waverly Hands Down!! read more
